  • What version of Flash Player?

Can someone tell me what version of Flash Player, I need to install?  I have a new HP Slate 21 with Android.

There IS NO MORE Flash player for Android. The operating system is therefore more comaptible with her.

Android (Google) recommend you only use "The Dolphin" or "Puffin" as your browser if you need to display Flash content. They are both free in the GooglePlay store, and they use "rendered side Server" which reduces the load on the device, save your battery.

  • Tests of what version of Flash Player is installed

How can I find out what version of flash player, I installed?
Until recently, I could visit http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about/ telling me.
But now, this page simply redirects to http://www.adobe.com/products/flash.html which is a sales pitch for Adobe Flash Prorefessional CS5.5 and no longer displays the version that I installed.

In the place where this feature moved?

I'm in Firefox 4.0 on Windows 7, where it is important.

HI beyond that was published only, you can use it. It must also offer the animation of the Flash Player logo, which is an indication of where Flash Player works correctly. It also displays the version FP.

  • should what version of Flash Player I use?

Just checked my plugins and FF Add ons check says I should immediately update FP 11.3.300.271 when I updated twice it says FP has been installed, but V 11.3.300.268 keeps appearing as the installed version and check Adobe confirms that. What is happening with this update of Flash Player?

For more on what Flash Player 11.3.300.271 is the latest release I think that 14.

Note however Firefox Plugin check can not always be completely up-to-date and especially for some users that flashplayer 11.3 has sometimes problems on Firefox so some users to upgrade to Firefox 11.2 or 10.3, which may still be the case.

(I believe [ http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/release-note/enduser-release-notes-11_3.html11.3.300.271 is a security patch], rather than fixing problems)

  • What version of flash player must be installed on the Web site?

Is not very saavy with the site, looking for recommendations on what is the least problematic version of flash player. Site is www.legacygroupbuilders.com thank you!

    Hi Thomas,

Flash Player is installed on his pc, not on the Web site.  If you have Flash on your website, visitors to this site content need to have Flash Player installed to view the content.  Depending on your content, you can require your visitor have a specific version of Flash Player installed to view the content.

BTW, https://www.legacygroupbuilders.com/ returns a "web page not available" error on Chrome and connection time-out on Firefox is trying to access.

  • What Version of Flash Player from Adobe?

Safari displays I have Adobe Flash Player version 15.0.0.246 installed.  But when I use Adobe Help it says that my Flash Player is off data, download the current version: 15.0.0.235.

It makes no sense to me!  The version numbers are retreating?

Can anyone offer advice for this confusion?

    Thank you

This last number is 16.0.0.235.  Always move forward.

You can download the installer here:

  • Download and install the most recent version, but still get error - "requires the latest version of flash player.

I get a message that something does not work because the latest version of flash player must be installed.  I go through the download and install Flash player, but still not the message.  After installation, I never get the configuration steps.  I tried to uninstall what ever version of flash player is on my computer before the download and install, but it does not help.

I also tried to remove Adobe photoshop Elements 9 and Adobe first Elements 9 but I couldn't make it work. I get a message that "this action is only valid for products that are currently installed."

Removed phone numbers that I am assuming that you do not want this posted on a public forum.

You can try going through the steps in the two faq from below.  In addition, where you can go to the Version of the Flash Player page and see the animation and flash player version number displayed?

  • Why sovereign funds on my hard drive do not use the latest version of Flash Player?

I've looked everywhere and I don't know why no one seems to be talking about this.

When I view a SWF in a browser it uses Flash Player 11.6, but when I view a SWF file on my HDD it uses Flash Player 10. Why is this? It's driving me crazy.

    Untitled-1.jpg

I already know that Chrome uses several different Flash players. One of them is the built-in Flash Player and the other is the 'system' Flash Player. I assumed that the Flash Player system is one that is running when I opened the SWF file on my hard drive, but this is clearly not the case. I tried to uninstall Flash Player and I could always open the SWF file on my hard drive and they always said Flash Player 10. What happens here? How many players Flash do I? Looks like there is a Flash of Chrome's built-in drive, a system of Flash Player AND a Flash Player that is used for the execution of the SWF file on my hard drive.

I am running Windows XP and I have the latest version of Flash Player. I know because I was installing it again and again trying to solve this problem.

The standalone version of Flash Player (projector) is not updated with the Flash Player browser add-ons; You must download the latest standalone player manually http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html

  • A test of web sites to make sure that the browser/Flash player / other is sufficient for all the Captivate content

My previous object in the header was a little confused, so I hope it's good I start again and more clearly what I need.

I have hundreds of users who access the Adobe Captivate 5.5 training.  Many users have no problems to display the content.  SOME users have bad, specially when you view a video included in the training.  It will just play for them.  These users have different browsers, so it would seem that the browser type is not a problem.

    What I hope is...

a website that allows users to know that they all needed to run any content in a session of Captivate.  For example, as you know, Adobe has a web site to inform the user what version of Flash Player, they have (if any).  I would be great to have a site that would let the user know whether they meet the minimum requirements (not simply Flash Player) to successfully participate in training.

Is anyone aware of such a site?  Or have any ideas on how to build one?

Thank you and I'm sorry for not being clearer on the previous post.

    Best regards

    Mark

Captivate outputs (in general) as Flash. So as long as users have a recent version of the Flash Player, they should be technically able to read the content.

However, of course, online delivery depends on the internet connection of the user. What happens if you are their video feed and their connection is slow?

For similar concerns, point us our users on speedtest.net and ask them to publish their results. It sometimes helps illustrate their slow connection means a slow video streaming.

And, of course, the older computer, complexion less it is going to be making the course. My older computer, with the frustration of my 5 y/old, plays horribly - Flash sites and occasionally and it's a computer clocked at 1.6 ghz with 512 MB of RAM and XP... with the latest browsers and Flash player. You can always ask their specifications of the computer, but it is not an easy thing to determine through software/website.

So you can create a simple 'minimum requirements' page that you can point to... but that doesn't make a diagnosis... Well, apart from the simple version of Flash player/detection (which is pretty simple), it is a complex task.
