When I backup it ask me for folppy 3 1/2? I don't have this disk how to make a cd instead of diskette?

in the absence of a floppy drive how to use a cd for this work

You must make a change in the plan and give up older backups fashion and use instead of disk imaging technology.

Step 1 - Install "drive image xml".

step 2 - create a folder on the hard disk called MyBackUP

step 3 - go to make an image of the hard disk and choose the size of the cd for of archive and save them in the folder above th.

step 4 - copy or move the cd size images on cd or on a second HDD for storage until needed.  There are also two files you need to copy on a separate cd.  You should also put a copy of drive image xml on it so that you can reinstall it later.

the later action plan, is that if your system becomes unstable, first use the XP system restore function.

If the above does not work then the next course of action is to run a repair installation or use via your xp cd recovery console.

If the above does not work, then ultimately you will have to reinstall your operating system with your xp cd or run a factory restore if your operating system is preinstalled on your computer.

Subsequently, you can then restore your disk on the hard disk and the newly installed operating system images.

to do this, you can copy the data from the cd disk in a folder that you will recreate called MyBackUp.  then use drive image xml to restore them.

by the way, be aware of what you are backing up/imagery because if your system is unstable or infected first, then do not bother one defective o.s. else you will overwrite your new operating system with a faulty version you pictorial imagery.
