When I install a program on Windows 7, after the reboot, it is absent.

I have to again install the programe to use it... my OS is win. 7 ultimate 64 bit

Have you tried installing from another user account and see what happens?

It seems that changed may not be written to disk.

Also try installing using administrator privileges. Point to the installation files for any program you install, right click on the setup.exe icon and click 'run as administrator '.
