When I open a raw file I get a yellow Preview in the window of the raw converter

When I open a Canon 60 d camera raw file, the raw converter window opens to a screen that you see below. When I click the open object, and I can see the image correctly. But if I double click on the smart object in the layer of a re - open the raw file I always get the same screen and I can't seem to edit the image. I also tried to convert the CR2 files using the DNG Converter and the results are the same.

    Hi Stephen39,

    Do you have any 3rd party plugin installed for Adobe Reader? If not, close all instances of Adobe Reader running and delete the entire folder to: C:\program Adobe [version] \Reader\plug_ins.

    Now go to control panel > programs and features. Locate the entry for Adobe Reader X and choose to repair the installation.

    If you do not have a 3rd party plugin installed, try to uninstall them and see if the problem is related to the same. If it works, let me know what plugins have been the origin of the problem so that I can have a look.

    If all goes well, this should fix things.

  • 1 site only, when I download a pdf file, I get an error message that the file is a jsp (not a PDF) and Adobe cannot open it. How can I fix?

    I have found this problem with 2 different browsers, but had success with a 3d. I noticed that the file on Firefox was with Zoom Downloader download. Could be the problem? (Don't know whence came the Downloader Zoom). I use Firefox 18 and Win 7.

    Try to delete the mimeTypes.rdf file in the Firefox profile folder to reset all the actions file.

    Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance).

    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the start safe mode window or make changes.

    OK, so I have windows XP I am trying to install on my acer aspire 5100. Its an old copy that came with another computer. All I'm trying to do is to clean the computer clean and start over.
