  I'm sorry for the inconvenience, but I should be able to help.
  Internet connection issues are widely available and vary from one case to another. Your question, however it seems that the most likely cause is that your computer's firewall prevents your applications to connect to the internet. You can check this easily by:

  1. go to the Start Page of Windows 'default Page of Windows 8.

  3. type in 'Control Panel' after a brief search you will see a button at the top of the page left labled 'Control Panel' click on this button and you go in desktop mode and allow you to navigate in the control panel.

This morning, I tried to refer to an external dll file in my code by right-clicking the project and selecting Add reference... it seemed to work ok but after trying to display in the browser display the Simulator is more properly, it appears like a window minimized in the taskbar that are not maxmised/restored.

  I tired to remove the link to the external file, I tried to uninstall the webworks & SDK, download and re - install the latest Visual Studio plug-in [vs_plugin_11.exe], but this did not help. I don't really know what to do now.

  I don't know exactly what happpend in your scenario, but I had something similar happen to me.

  By chance have you changed your screen resolution?  What happened to me, it was that the Simulator was actually being run, it was just off-screen.

  The way I fixed it was a click right on the entrance of Simulator in the taskbar and choose "move".  Then I used my arrows on my keyboard to bring the Simulator to the display.
