Simulator window is reduced in the taskbar, but I can't restore/maximize

Hello

I'm new to the Blackberry development and that you ran right into my first problem. Until today everything worked very well, I created a really basic web application and it load/shows correctly in the Simulator. This morning, I tried to refer to an external dll file in my code by right-clicking the project and selecting Add reference... it seemed to work ok but after trying to display in the browser display the Simulator is more properly, it appears like a window minimized in the taskbar that are not maxmised/restored.

I tired to remove the link to the external file, I tried to uninstall the webworks & SDK, download and re - install the latest Visual Studio plug-in [vs_plugin_11.exe], but this did not help. I don't really know what to do now.

Everyone knows about this problem? I would be grateful for any advice.

Thank you.

I don't know exactly what happpend in your scenario, but I had something similar happen to me.

By chance have you changed your screen resolution?  What happened to me, it was that the Simulator was actually being run, it was just off-screen.

The way I fixed it was a click right on the entrance of Simulator in the taskbar and choose "move".  Then I used my arrows on my keyboard to bring the Simulator to the display.

  • Is it possible in windows vista to hide the taskbar, but still be able to see the system tray?

I want to hide the task bar, but then, I don't see the system tray. Is it possible to have the separate system tray?

    Hi arya78,

It is possible to do the reverse of what you want - to hide some or most of the icons in the system tray bar while leaving the rest of the visible taskbar; However, you cannot hide the taskbar and let only the visible system tray icons because they are part of the task bar and the task bar should be visible so that they are visible.

Sorry, but this is how Vista works.  If you try to get rid of the section in the taskbar, which shows open programs, it cannot simply be done without hiding the entire taskbar (including system tray icons).

    Good luck!

  • Firefox shows upwards on the taskbar but will not maximize when clicking on window

I tried re installation, but when I click the icon it will appear on the taskbar but will not maximize.

It is a more detailed explanation of the above.

Sometimes, a window is "off the screen" somehow. Often, you can force it to appear on the screen by right clicking on the thumbnail image just above the taskbar and choose expand. Does it work?

A possible cause for this is that the file that stores the positions and sizes of window is corrupt.

#1 method: If you can get a zoomed window:

Open the settings folder (AKA Firefox profile) current Firefox help

    • button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > troubleshooting information
    • (menu bar) Help > troubleshooting information
    • type or paste everything: in the address bar and press Enter

In the first table of the page, click on the view file"" button. This should launch a new window that lists the various files and folders in Windows Explorer.

Leave this window open, switch back to Firefox and output, either:

    • "3-bar" menu button > button "power".
    • (menu bar) File > Exit

Pause while Firefox finishing its cleanup, then rename xulstore.json to something like xulstore.old. If you see a file named localstore.rdf, rename this to localstore.old.

Launch Firefox back up again. Windows normally appear again?

#2 method: If you can not get a Firefox window for all:

Close Firefox by right clicking the icon in the taskbar > close all windows.

Using the Run dialog box (windows key + R) or the search for the start bar menu (or Windows 8.1 may bar charms bar research?) type or paste the following and press ENTER to drill down to the profiles folder:

    %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles

Here you can see a folder - in this case, double-click that - or more than one case - in this case, double-click on in what looks like the most recently updated.

Scroll down and rename xulstore.json to something like xulstore.old. If you see a file named localstore.rdf, rename this to localstore.old.

Launch Firefox back up again. Windows normally appear again?

  • Why am I no longer see Windows Update shield in the taskbar?

I had to do a complete Windows repair my motherboard died back in January.

Since obtaining Windows XP pro upward and run again, I did not the usual yellow reminder Windows Update shield in the taskbar. I put Windows to warn me, but not to install any update.

I just went to the update page, and it is said that there are no new updates needed. Strange... I would have thought there were security fixes since the end of January.

Even using a third party such as Secunia scanner, said that I'm updating. There had been no updates since January for Windows XP Pro?

    Gershon S

I did mine on February 17, but yes, it's the last that I have now. This months updates should be available today (March 13). I'm waiting for my small yellow shield to wait another day before telling me that they are ready. Even so, I wait a day or 3 and analyze the news to see if something catastrophic is reported in tech reviews online before I install them.

  • The bottom of my windows are obscured by the taskbar when you maximize their

I have windows 7 and recently, the taskbar has begun to obscure the bottom of my windows, for example, when an excel document is opened and maximized, you can't access the different worksheets because they are hidden behind the taskbar.  I don't know happened.  I tried to solve this problem with auto-hide task bar settings, but found this very annoying that this means that I do not see my taskbar or it keeps popping up or endangered, which is annoying.  I don't want to restore my computer earlier if possible.  Y at - it a simple explanation of the non-geek I can follow easilly on how to solve this problem, because I find it so boring.  Thank you

Thanks to all who responded, solve the problem himself after that I stopped my lap top and restarted again.  The reason that I had which was earlier that it will turn off no matter how many times I tried to stop.  So I finally just kept my finger on the power switch until it finally stopped and now I don't have a problem with windows optimize behind the taskbar.  Very happy.

  • Taskbar at the top, high Windows to hide under the taskbar when opened

I had this problem with all versions of windows that I can remember since I've been putting the taskbar to the top of the screen.  Why Windows was never designed to properly use this configuration is beyond me.  In fact, it's a way far more productive things with the taskbar at the top.
Anyway, I fixed this 'error' every time, but I do not remember how it was done before.

Usually, to fix it I have temporarily move the taskbar, move the window in question down and bring back the taskbar. It is not very productive.  Most programs should remember their position when closed, but apparently are not remembered.  There should be a way to force windows to open on top of the taskbar.  I know I could auto hide the taskbar, but I don't want to do that.

    I use Windows 7.

    Thank you

BTW, I did a search but have not found anything like that, but maybe it is expressed in a way very strange lol.

There is a custom here solution: http://www.sevenforums.com/customization/44913-disabletaskbarontop-disable-taskbar-always-top-9.html but for all practicial reasons, this is a "by design" feature in Windows 7.

    Hi Carrie,

Thanks for posting the request in Microsoft Community Forums.

Normally, this problem occurs when the process explorer.exe is corrupted and need to restart. We will try to recycle Explorer.exe by following these steps here and check the results.

    a. to recycle Explorer.exe by opening Task Manager (you can use Ctrl + Shift + Esc), on the process tab, select Windows explorer.exe in the list and choosing end process.

    b. now, go to the file menu, choose new task and type explorer.exe in the Open box. Press enter and explore should restart itself.

    c. try to hide the taskbar and check.

If the problem persists, you can run Analysis System File Checker and verify the results.

Use the System File Checker tool to repair missing or corrupted system files

Whenever I try to open Control Panel, it opens on the taskbar, but when I click it, it does nothing. I tried to restore by clicking and clicked right, to optimize and minimize, but nothing works.  It does this for all programs of the control panel.  I can't display preferences or options of the control panel.  Someone please help.

I tried to restore by clicking and clicked right, to optimize and minimize, but nothing works.

3 may not be available at the same time.   While we were inactive?   Who will tell you what State was the window.    In addition, if expand wasn't available, but has not shown a window, then became unavailable which suggests that the window was projected on another monitor.   In this case, you will need to press Shift-Win-CursorRight back.

  • When I open a new Word Document, it reduces in the taskbar at the bottom and when I maximize, she disappears to the left of the screen. What's wrong?

I open a new Microsoft Word Document, and it immediately reduced in the taskbar at the bottom of the screen. When I maximize the document, it "disappears" immediately to the left off the screen.
I'm having the same problems with the e-mails when I try to transfer or create new e-mail messages. They won't last long enough for me to write about them - they disappear from the screen.

Well maybe not related to your problem, I have to remind you that the version of Firefox you are using right now has been deleted and is no longer supported. In addition, he has known unpatched bugs and security problems. I invite you to upgrade to the latest version of Firefox, for maximum security, stability, performance and ease of use. You can get it for free, as always, to getfirefox.com.
