When I restart Vista comes a page American Megatrends
I have a Lenovo Ideapad under Vista. When I restart, it restarts to page American Megatrends and I have to press F1 to continue. Then I have to reset the date and time. This product whenever I restart and becomes frustrating. Any ideas?
This Stop error message we "CMOS Date/time not set" - it seems that the rest of the information is provided for information purposes.
You will need to press F12 and go into the BIOS and set the time and then save and exit the BIOS - after that the message should appear is more unless there is a problem with the BIOS. Where there is an ongoing problem you would first try to reset the BIOS default values and then look at contact the seller for service/replacement hardware

If I click on the + to open a tab, it happens to a browser window which I don't want. I've changed the 'home page' what I want, which doesn't seem to work, even when I restarted Firefox.
How can I change the screen that is displayed when I select a new tab? Thank you very much in advance for your help!
A new tab opens by default like a Virgin tab (topic: empty).
If this isn't the case, then an extension has changed this behavior.

problem reinstalling windows Vista operating system.
I'm trying to reinstall the windows Vista operating system. When I restart and press F8 on my dell Inspiron will in the Advanced Boot Options. I support then to fix my computer, but instead of reloading Windows Vista my computer turn on normally. How can I solve this problem. Thanks in advance for your support. Valerie SGWhy you want to reinstall your PC? It could be that you don't need to reinstall Windows, and solutions you could solve, which is recommended.
However, if you want to reinstall your Windows, it's NOT F8, F8 key belongs to Windows and he'll fix the problems. To reinstall Windows, you must use differently for Dell steps:
And for more details, you could visit the Dell Web site and search for your model and find the method to do this, or contact technical support:

I chose my resolution of windows xp to the highest frequency screen and my screen become black and displayed out of reach, I restarted my pc, but when it came to the login page my screen shows again her even, how can I get it back?
Hi hcosdihv,
Start the PC in safe mode then go back to the display settings and set the resolution to a lower level.
You start in Mode safe by constantly pressing the F8 key as your PC starts. A menu will appear and you must select the Safe Mode option.
Once you have changed the screen resolution, you can restart your PC normally.
Make sure that you "only" to select an output of the range option.

When I restarted Firefox it will on sites that were active when I closed rather than my home page and the tabs. I checked on the general tab of the Tools menu, and it is defined correctly for my homepage. I also tried to reinstall firefox. but he's still the previous sites. This product even when I shut down and restart the computer.
How to go to my home page when I start it.
If you have already tried restore session Configuration then disable all modules disable removal of modules , then check if it will be resolved, if nothing works then reset Firefox, which fixed the problem.

I have reset start empty, but there is not.
So just to confirm, in the general Panel of the Options page, you set
"When Firefox starts: display a blank page.
And when you close the Options page and open it again, your bet is still there.
But when you close Firefox and run it again, it has changed to:
"When Firefox starts: show my home page".
There are a number of possible reasons for Firefox to lose your changes of parameters between session. Software that is designed to protect you against unwanted changes you blocks actually make changes sought. This includes Advanced SystemCare, and some other utility/privacy/security software with a 'navigation protection' or a 'protection home page"feature.
This article has other possible explanations: How to fix preferences that will not save.
If you find that Firefox remembers not change between visits on the Options page: you can have a different problem, as a generally unwanted program named SearchProtect who should be removed from the Windows Control Panel or a configuration file 'automatic' which locks your start setting. We can help you to further explore that if this seems to be the behavior.

Try to start the computer in recovery options and then make a form of system restore it and check if it helps:

Hello
If you are using a desktop computer there should be a reset button on the monitor auto
and try these 2 methods:
try a restore of the system before this happened
http://www.windowsvistauserguide.com/system_restore.htm
If necessary do in safe mode
Windows Vista
Using the F8 method:
- Restart your computer.
- When the computer starts, you will see your computer hardware are listed. When you see this information begins to tap theF8 key repeatedly until you are presented with theBoot Options Advanced Windows Vista.
- Select the Safe Mode option with the arrow keys.
- Then press enter on your keyboard to start mode without failure of Vista.
- To start Windows, you'll be a typical logon screen. Connect to your computer and Vista goes into safe mode.
- Do whatever tasks you need and when you are done, reboot to return to normal mode.
try going to your graphic card manufacturers site or computer and are looking for the driver download section
Search your computer or graphics card model number based on what you have and download and install the latest graphics drivers for vista
then try to make the screen of solution of problems

Windows 7 slow log process when you restart
I have a HP Pavilion dv4-2049wm with Windows 7 sp1... I recently sent my laptop to be fixed through the guarantee thanks to a 2-year extended service plan that expired recently after that she came back to me. He was sent because the backlight has went out on the LCD screen. When I noticed that my volume and wifi touch buttons have been blackened and not working and also my LCD display wouldn't go to sleep when I closed the top of the page despite all my settings to tell. I had to reinstall my display drivers and I have also flashed my BIOS, Insyde F.18. Everything worked fine, but no fixed... now when I restart my laptop, windows is going to close, it is spin the circle beside logging off... He will sit like that for an hour and does not restart because he can't get out of logging off windows process restart, so I am forced to stop by pressing the power button. Anyone know of any solution to the problem of sleep and restart the problem? Or have any suggestions I can try? Thanks, any help would be appreciated!
Hi Teytey,
Two ideas:
Wrong program:
Looks like a program is blocked running and is not able to pay attention to the "cease and desist" message Stop message sending when you try to shut down the computer.
Computer keeps (Windows 7 or Vista)
When the programs will block this way, they are not working properly or in a State where they can be stopped by normal means. They "cannot hear' instructions from the outside as they can be in a loop of the code that does not include an exit door, or a way to listen to instruction to stop going"round in circles. This can be causes by stupid code or by errors in the file system.
What can you do? You can take a look at what is currently running on the computer and to take preventive measures, i.e. control what is running on the computer and get rid of it, advance - before it's time for you to shut down the computer.
What program is causing the problem? Unknown. You will have to do some detective work.

An hour before today:
You can also try to "back in time" when it was not the case. This could be possible if the situation of error developed after you have installed the new software, after you have changed something important on the computer, or after updates have been applied by the system. In all these cases, a Restore Point can have been created, in which case you can track a time 'before this date' and sometimes to recover your computer Setup and the ability to start and stop down, as expected.
- Do NOT, DO NOT confuse restore with recovery. Restoring is a set to a 'time before today. '
- Recovery is a destructive wipe of data and a resinstall on your operating system.
How to use Restore:
HP Notebook PC - using Microsoft System Restore (Windows Vista)
Restore Windows to an earlier Point (Windows 7)
Computers HP - using Microsoft System Restore (Windows 8)
Reference
Implementation of restoration and System Restore Points:
Before making any changes on your computer, you can ensure that you have a Restore Point. If things go on the side, you can "go back". It's the system restore. Once you have enabled the restoration of the system, the computer will automatically restore Points before many program facilities.
You can also create a manually restore Point.
Be sure to only restore the Protection is enabled for the drive C:\
AND
Control Panel > display icon > system > System Protection > create a Restore Point
=================================================================
Safe Mode system restore:
- Turn off the laptop completely.
- Restarting... As soon as the laptop starts to boot,
- Keep clicking on F8 until you enter the Windows Recovery Console
- Find and select "Safe Mode" > enter
Once the system starts in Mode safe:
Start > search / type 'restore' > click to open "System Restore."
Select a Restore Point PRIOR to the point where the problem started and to restore.
====================================================================================
I hope this helps.
