When I run Firefox 4.0 my previously defined App tabs to reopen
Using Firefox 4.0 under Win XP Home SP3 I do 'Pin as App Tab' to several tabs. When I restart Firefox the tabs do not open, either normally or as tabs App. What should I do to reopen automatically on reboot?
@bakerboy: app Tabs can be forgotten if you have set your preferences of Firefox to automatically clear recent history. To check your settings, see the following article: delete the navigation, search and download history on Firefox.
@cdatkins: you have a utility (like CCleaner) which erases your recent history of Firefox?

When I run firefox v42 mac, the Preferences tab load as well
When I run Firefox version Mac 42 on Mountain Lion, my homepage loads perfectly, but another 'Préférences' tab always seems to load as well. How can I stop this other tab from loading? Thank you, Ken.
Hi Ken, one of the possible reasons are if the preferences page has been added as a second 'Home tab' in which case it will be displayed in each new window (Cmd + n) and every time that you click the Home button.
To verify that you can use the preferences, the general Board, the section to start page, as described in this article: start-up, homepage, tabs and download settings.
In the area of the Home Page, look for a vertical bar separating two addresses of character. A simple example with short URLS:
https://www.mozilla.org/|about:preferences
The bar certainly can be hard to spot with long URLs, but when you find it, delete everything to the right of the bar, then the bar itself (I suggest to remove the last bar so things don't accidentally get it together).

When I run Firefox, it opens a tab hidden in addition to any home page I put.
When I run Firefox by clicking on the icon in my toolbar Quick Start on wallpaper, it will open in any window, I put on the general tab of the menu options. But, there is an icon in the upper left corner of Firefox, if I click on it it shows this cartoon "http://images.dailykos.com/images/163050/lightbox/9-6-strip-KOS.png?1441645357."
It is a cartoon that I looked at a few days ago.
If I close the open tab by clicking on the x.
the cartoon appears. I cannot delete it, do not know where it is registered, but it disappears when I close Firefox itself.
It's all on a computer still under XP so what counts.
I searched a file "user.js" on C: but not here.Maybe unrelated, but I can't delete unwanted Add-ins and extensions either.
It's weird.
What do you see if you right click on this icon?

When I launch Firefox normally it goes right to my Google page, but recently when I run Firefox I get a message indicating that Google.com is a unreliable site. I get this message for all engines of search, Google, Bing, Yahoo, etc. How can I solve this problem?
You run Kaspersky, correct? If you use the SSL scanning feature, Firefox must be put in place to approve the present Kaspersky false certificate to decrypt your secure connections. If you used the discount during the last update function - for example, Firefox says it's a bad performance and offers to restore some default settings - you have to do it again the installer of Kaspersky/Firefox.

I update firefox from version 7 to version 8, now when I run firefox every time it itself open the Web "to start with firefox", in firefox options I select the "show a blank page" but his does not work. I use firefox on windows XP - SP2.
Try to restart Firefox, the time of a page (s) after the beginning of a new version should disappear. In fact this last time with 8.0 they did not come to the top for me.
If it works then raise Subject: config and insert the url of the page into the filter. Right-click on anything that appears and use "Reset".

Dear all,
Firefox crashes when I try to play flash videos from any website, but when I run firefox as administrator, it works very well. (but Google Chrome, Opera & I.E9 video parts without administrator.) I use Windows 7 & Firefox 7.0.1. Help, please. One possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or limits Firefox or plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after the detection of changes (update) for the Firefox program.
Delete all rules for Firefox in the list of permissions in the firewall and leave your firewall again ask permission to get full unlimited access to the internet for Firefox and the plugin-container and the update process.
