When I start Firefox every morning pages I had opened yesterday load automatically. How to regain control of my browser without deleting my history?
In the last few days, I noticed a change in behavior of my browser. I don't mind not that he remembers where I've been since the history feature is useful when you are looking for past articles. However, what is happening now is that when I start Firefox after closing, it automatically loads all the tabs I had open before (Eve). It's really annoying.
This is an option you my turn on and outside. Set it instead of open with one or more tabs like home pages of your choice.
- Use: Help button-> Options {(cog icon) {(trois bar icône) }}
or enter in the address bar and go to Subject: preferences #general

I had my home page on my company's Web site. It has been set that way for several months. Today, after my computer starts and by opening the browser Firefox, my home page has been reset to 'www.sweetpacks-search.com/?barid= & src = 97 &. In addition, the tabs I have open have been updated with the same address.
Hello lloydla, try the SearchReset , the add-on complement only run resets once your search and preferences of the home page to their default values and then to uninstall.
Thank you

I currently use version 3.6.24 Firefox on my PPC mac with 10.4.11 system. I use Firefox for many years without any problems. I received yesterday and on my screen to alert that there is a new update of Firefox available at the facility. I clicked on OK and the update started. When it's over, I checked and it's the same version, 3.6.24, I used and apparently nothing has changed until I went to my eBay site. Once on my site, I signed in and went to manage my Articles page. The page was different because normally it shows all the items, I have for sale and at the top of the list of points of sale are the three items to check and look at my listings, which I look at you, my profile and my alerts. When you click on one of them you are normally taken to another page. When I went there after apparent installation of the updated release of Firefox page showed my ads in a single column, my profile in another column and third column for my alerts all on one page. This is not normal. I got out and went to my home page which is http://www.rr.com/. Now it was different. Parts of the site have disappeared, the sections with the weather, news, and reviews. I thought it might be the site and then I launched Safari and went to the same page and it is normal. This morning when I started Firefox it shows my home page as screwed up as yesterday. Safari has shown as it should look like. I then started SeaMonkey and it showed the page as it should look like. I really like Firefox and I'd like to get it working again as it should. Would appreciate any suggestions. My email address is [email protected]

I update firefox from version 7 to version 8, now when I run firefox every time it itself open the Web "to start with firefox", in firefox options I select the "show a blank page" but his does not work. I use firefox on windows XP - SP2.
Try to restart Firefox, the time of a page (s) after the beginning of a new version should disappear. In fact this last time with 8.0 they did not come to the top for me.
If it works then raise Subject: config and insert the url of the page into the filter. Right-click on anything that appears and use "Reset".

Hello. I installed the latest update of Firefox and when I start a new tab page displays not now my google input line. I use Windows 10. Until the recent update (v4.1.01) each time I started a new tab the new page would show the google search entry line which is my default. Can help you to restore this feature? TKS
Hi, 41 of Firefox, you must use the add-on tab override (browser.newtab.url replacement), to make changes to the page tab.
Once installed, open the Add-ons (Ctrl + Shift + A) Manager > Extensions, and then look for the new tab override and click Options to set your preference.
Notice, if you want only the new tab to be the same as your home page, you can use the Add on new tab homepage instead.
You will then need to restart Firefox for all changes to take effect.
If your question is resolved by this or another answer, please take a minute to let us know. Thank you.

I know how to set correctly in homepage. I'm an experienced user. My problem is when I start Firefox 20.0.1 it always starts two tabs. The first is the correct home page. The second is a blank tab switching to. I want only the first tab that is the home page. How to stop the second tab to open. The homepage is defined only with a URL and is correct.

I checked the Personas of Mozilla, has seen one I liked and added the. When I start Firefox, the Mozilla start page shows as usual with Google on this subject. The character I chose shows barely and only in the area of the toolbars at the top of the screen. Can I change the start page to not display Google and access Google another average, so that my character is displayed on the start page of together?
This has happened
Each time Firefox opened
== I added on Persona
As you can see on the article using themes with Firefox , personas are 'lightweight themes that can change the color plan and the Firefox toolbar background image' and they do not change Web pages.
If you do not see Google as home page you can watch How to set the home page and change it.
Finally Firefox 3.5.x will be maintained with security and stability updates until August 2010, so you may want to update to a newer version. -
How can I get rid of the box that appears when you start Firefox 'Restore previous Session'?
How can I get rid of the box that appears when you start Firefox 'Restore previous Session'?
Subject: House is the default in Firefox 4 home page - look at the address bar containing the addresses of web page - it is the container for Google search, with a 'extract container' and below these elements is the Previous Session Restore button. It's not the same homepage that previous versions of Firefox used (although it is similar in appearance), it is a 'local' page that won't load the Internet.
Set this page as your home page, which is what Firefox 3.6 and earlier versions had for the default home page. He has Previous Session Restore button/link.

It's just like an image (with some mobile things) which I can't do anything on... Does anyone have a solution? (Btw im on exploring right now and it works very well)
Hi Xylax,
I'll try from Firefox Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode. If you do not have the issue so that all your modules, extensions, and themes are disabled, you can try adding them in one by one until you find the culprit. You should look at the guide to troubleshooting Extensions and themes and article troubleshooting issues with plugins like Flash or Java to solve common Firefox problems as well.
Hope this helps!

Whenever I start Firefox, my home page is displayed, and then another tab of a page I looked at in the past. I don't know how to do stop to load to the top of this additional page at startup and can't seem to find information on how to disable this junk page. Any suggestions? Thank you!!
Maybe you inadvertently set both pages to be your Homepage"(s)"?

When I start Firefox, I always "Welcome to Firefos" tab. I tried to change the options for mu, but when I close Firefox, the options return to the origional options before them, I changed.
Looks like your current profile does not work correctly.
Create a new profile as a test to see if your profile is the source of the problems.
See basic troubleshooting: make a new profile:If this new profile works then you can transfer files from the old profile to the new profile (be careful not to copy corrupted files)

When I start Firefox, just my use of the homepage (my g-mail) to open. All of a sudden, my homepage and some free computer game page opens. How can I get this other page to open no more?
Thank you!
Do you have the same two tabs when you launch a new window (Ctrl + n) or only at startup?
You can check your extensions in case something snuck in. You can view and clear the page modules. Either:
- Command + shift + a
- "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions. Then, when in doubt, turn off.
Typically, a link will appear above at least an extension disabled to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links in the last step.
Who closes down the extra page?
