Hello julianfl,

Often we see odd behavior as the result of a program from loading at startup.

To solve these, we use the clean boot troubleshooting.

When I insert a DVD in my Media Player, I get a BSOD that has the above noted the error code and wrote the installed nv4_disp.dll is the culprit.  However, I can play in Real Player DVD and Roxio Movie Player NVIDIA said that I had an oroblem of Microsoft.

    What is it?

Your long explanation sent me on the right track in that I got rid of the blue screen problem.  However, WMP said that he could not play DVD unless I have reduced the screen resolution or installed a MPEG-2 decoder.  Reduce the resolution did nothing so I installed a NVidea video decoder and DVD will now be read.

  • Satellite A110: I want to play a DVD but it says: not compatible

    Hi I have a question.
I have a toshiba satellite a110. But when I want to play a dvd, it says:
    is not compatible...
    :(

Can't watch movies, how to... :(

I have installed some software dvd - ram also uninstalled, restarted the laptop.

    Someone?

    Hello

Are you using the Windows operating system that has been preinstalled on the A110 Sat?
AFAIK almost all Toshiba laptops come with WinDVD program.
I also assume the Sat A110 supports this software and you must use it to play the DVD s.

One question; What DVD did you play? An original or a copy?
The portable DVD Player supports different DVD region code settings.

Please check if the region code that was chosen on the CD/DVD drive supports your DVD media!

For example; you will not be able to play the DVD we s if the region has been set for region 2

  • Loud noise clicking noise when you try to play a DVD

HP Pavilion d4995t desktop PC with High Definition Realteck Audio Ultimate.  Vista Premium o/s.  I play my sound through my HDMI cable to the speakers in my monitor. When I try to play a DVD in the DVD player, I get a loud clicking with no sound from the DVD.   This only happens to the DVD.  CDs play sounds without problem.  If I copy the same files to DVD on the hard drive, I can play from the hard drive and the sound works.  If I connect speakers to the audio output and disable the HDMI output, I can play the DVD in the DVD player and games sound through the speakers without noise.  I ran his tool from Microsoft without success.  Updated all the audio drivers.  I reloaded Vista, which corrected the problem.  But as time passed the problem comes back.  I suspect that the problem was caused by a Microsoft Update. Someone at - it suggestions?

    Hello

Yes, sometimes after installing the Service Pack for Vista through Windows Update.

  • Microsoft stops working when I want to play a game installed

I recently bought a game on big fish site, and when I go to turn it on, a window of microsoft windows is telling me that the game has stopped working. Ive checked with the site and everything seems to be working there. It happened also when I bought games at walmart and when I want to play games that comes with the windows program. I bought my computer new last summer and it is a laptop, don't know why it doesn't let me play games.

You mean updating the graphics card driver, uninstall, it should not be necessary, and since it is a laptop there very probably a chipset, not a card.

natashawraight, if you go to the website of the manufacturer of your laptop, it should have the drivers you need.

  • When I want to burn a CD in Windows Media Player, it shows "Windows Media Player has encountered a problem when burning the file to disk". What's wrong? How to fix?

When I want to burn a CD in Windows Media Player, it shows "Windows Media Player has encountered a problem when burning the file to disk".    What's wrong? How to fix?

I tried several times to remove the selection to burn and create a new a new but it keep "Windows Media Player has encountered a problem when burning the file to delivery" appears what should I do?   What problem is it?

    Hello

    1. what file format you are trying to burn?

    2. have you made changes on the computer recently?

    3. What is the security software installed on the computer?

If it's something you downloaded, it may be copy protected by DRM, in which case you may not burn it to a CD or DVD.

Here are a few things to try:

    1. make sure that the disc is clean.

    2. try a different brand of blank discs.

    3. stop all other programs that are running.

    4. make sure that the hard drive does not use disk compression.

I suggest that you follow these steps and check if they help to solve the problem.

    Method 1:

Try to use the Troubleshoot utility to see if that solves the problem.

    a. open the troubleshooting Windows Media Player settings Troubleshooter by clicking the Start button, then Control Panel.

    (b) in the search box, type "convenience store" and then click Troubleshooting.

    c. click on show all and then click the Windows Media Player settings.

    Method 2:

Select a recording speed (write) more slow for the CD burner.

Change settings for burning a CD or DVD in Windows Media Player

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/change-settings-for-burning-a-CD-or-DVD-in-Windows-Media-Player

    Method 3:

If you have any third-party burning software, I suggest you temporarily Uninstall it and then try to burn the disc using Windows Media Player.

Note: Reinstall the software after the trial.

    Method 4:

Temporarily disable all programs that could activate themselves, while burning is in progress, such as screensavers or anti-virus programs.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/turn-Windows-Firewall-on-or-off
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/disable-antivirus-software

Note: Run the computer without antivirus software or firewall is a potential threat to the computer; Be sure to activate security software after completing the troubleshooting steps and after identifying the problem.

    I hope this helps.
