Whence this giant puddle of memory?

So I'm mopping up a giant puddle of memory from under my computer and I noticed that the memory is just outside IMAQ learn model 2 VI. Turn, when IMAQ learn ringtone 2 decides that a template image doesn't have enough contrast, he gets scared and wets on the memory on the floor. A VI which allows to wash your computer desk with RAM is attached.

LabVIEW development team-two things, please:

1: Please correct the leak memory in IMAQ learn 2 ringtone and if possible, put the version fixed so I don't have to wait unnecessarily.

2: I read that the contrast test is that there must be at least 2 levels of grey in the image that are populated by at least 10 pixels each. This seems to be true. But just for fun, could someone please confirm that this is exactly (and without exception) how the criterion vi IMAQ learn ringtone 2 contrast works so that I can reverse reverse and use it to keep IMAQ learn model 2 VI to create a vortex of memory at which no bit can never escape.

Thank you

Root

Root,

What version of vision do you use? I ran this VI with the Boolean value selected for about 10 minutes with no leaks. When your leak, and what importance is it? While the CPU is of course jumped 50% on my computer, I have never had a leak.

I looked through some recent corrections of the view Readme files, and it seems that the IMAQ learn ringtone 2 has been updated with 8.6.4. I don't see anything about it being due to a memory leak, but apparently it is used to "hang" with low contrast images:

"The IMAQ learn model 2 VI may crash."- Readme

You can find the download 8.6.4 here.

You must have Vision 8.6.0 before installing the 8.6.4 update. Also, if you want to update your companion of Vision, we had a 8.6.1 update for it.

Hope this helps!

  • In the VI library OR: extract, control of the channel numbers are loaded automatically every time that the VI is open with "count to five: a 2 three 4.0 five." Whence this string of data?

    Even after the removal of the string "count to five: a 2 3 4.» 5."since the control of the chain and its replacement by another string, the original string returns after that the VI has been saved then reopened. Whence this string of data? I have attached a copy of the library feature. In my application, I was able to work around the problem by replacing the chain with a constant string control. But I'm still curious to know what is happening.

    Thank you

    Chuck,

    Chain drive was scheduled by default with the string you see.  To change it, enter the new string, right-click on the control and select

    Operations on the data > default font of the current value

    Now, save your vi.

    Hello

    I have a PC running Windows XP Pro on which I run several programs. After the opening of a few applications, I have this message "not enough memory".
    When I have this message, I can't open another application, or those in Windows... I have 2 GB of memory and only 700 MB are used.
    If I open the calculator several times (about 65 times), I have the same result.
    Sometimes, I get no error message, but the application does not open.

    Someone knows why?

  • This will cause a memory leak?

    Hello

    I have a question about how AS3 garbage collection.  This will cause a memory leak?

    var firstVector:Vector.<String> = new Vector.<String>;
    var secondVector:Vector.<String> = new Vector.<String>;

    firstVector.push("foo");
    firstVector.push("bar");
    // firstVector now contains foo,bar

    secondVector.push("baz");
    // secondVector now contains baz

    firstVector = secondVector;
    // firstVector now contains baz

    'Foo' and 'bar' exist in memory somewhere now?  In other languges such as Objective-C, if the first vector cannot be erased first before being assigned the second vector data, the first vector data, then that is not accessible, still exist in memory.

    Thank you!

    I think that they stayed in the memory, but we can't reach them because they do not have a reference variable.

    in java, we know that the String class is immutable.

    ArrayList - vector in AS3 - is also immutable too.

    so when the flash vm excute the first line:

    1 - vm will create two ref first, vm and the second table set the size for them like it by default size

    2 - the vm will creat a new string 'toto' in reference 0 of the firstarray - you learned in Assembly.

    3 - Add a new string 'bar' in 1 side firstArray address in memory

    4. new 'baz' and assign the secondArray mention

    the importance is here

    now when you equal first with the second, just by moving the pointer in the first table to the "baz".

    Baz has therefore two now first and second reference table

    foo and bar will remain in the memory, garbage will delete them after some time cause there are no variables that were

    You can also call garbage collection operation by:

    flash.system.System.gc ();

  • I deleted the iTune movies, but the memory said 355 GB of movies was still in memory. Erased from the music/ITune... rebooted Media/Movies...emptied bin... now it says the 355 identical Go is 'other' files. How to recover this 355 GB of memory?

    I deleted my MacBook Pro iTune movies to reconquer 355GB of memory space. But it still says that the movies were there; so I deleted them music/iTunes Media/movies directory, empty the Recycle Bin and rebooted... but now the same Go 355 is listed as 'other '. How can I recover this incredible memory huge piece? Thank you.

  • Is this use of normal memory on my hosts?

    I have 5 ESXi 6.0 Update 2 host this Win7 home, computers desktop 32 bit display

    393 x 2 GB desktop computers each = 786 GB

    3 x 2.5 GB desktop computers each = 8GB

    5 hosts x 192 GB each = 960 GB

    So I have a total of about 800 GB of dedicated to these desktop computers and 960GB in my hosts. Memory percentage seems correct below? I took this screenshot to 06:00 when there was not a single office in use. During the day, I saw the memory % column go to 94 to 97% on each host and of course the CPU % column shows a much higher percentage.

    Memory2.png

    Looks normal to me after that tell you what is running on the host computers.

    Hope you have a DR plan as that pushes your hosts... you can't manage a host failed in your configuration without turning off the virtual machine.

    Memory usage hit 97% will result in ballooning memory will be held and performance you VM is affected...

    I think that you need more memory or more guests.

  • Whence this credit?

    Ive easily spent over $5,000 on iTunes in the last 5 years.  I noticed today that I did not a bill on my CC within a certain time even though I have yet to receive a bill for iTunes 2 - 3 times a week.   I noticed today that I have a CREDIT for $536.00.  How can I find out where it comes from

    If you have purchased several iBooks, Apple was forced to grant partial credit for them.

    You should have received an email from Apple on this topic and you can check your payment history (and credit) by logging into your Apple ID account

  • Whence this accusation?

    Earlier, I tried to buy a song on the iTunes store, but there were two problems:

    (1) I had apparently managed to get rid of the agreement between the iTunes store and my PayPal account, a couple of months ago.

    (2) my internet is slow

    After meeting the first problem, I logged into PayPal to fix, and I thought that I had, but the internet is slow and I couldn't be 100% sure that I had returned the agreement. PayPal would say it was fixed and I was redirected to iTunes, but iTunes would say it has not been fixed and redirect me to PayPal. After a good 15 minutes trying to understand this point, I gave up and closed my MacBook and left in a few races. When I got home about 30 minutes, I realized I had an email informing me of a charge of $1.40 in the iTunes store from my account.

    I searched through the history of my purchase of my two Apple ID accounts (from iTunes) that I use and found no trace of a purchase for anything whatsoever to today's date. As these things usually do not appear in my activity of bank account until a few days later, I doubted there would be something there, but I watched anyway and nothing from me to the iTunes store.

    I am almost certain that my purchase request didn't pass, but if that were the case, I can find no record of the song anywhere. And I'm not buy twice. So where is this accusation coming if not appear anywhere else, except my email? And how can I be sure that this will not happen?

    When you set up (or in this case, re - establish) an instrument of payment with the iTunes Store, a small wedge is placed on your account to check it out. Once the account is verified, the hold is released. Money will not actually deducted from your account.

  • Whence this cache of thumbnails?

    I've been running a little obsessive CCleaner from today, and I noticed that once in a while my cache of thumbnails that happened up to three megabytes-ish without me opening the picture files. Clean it permanently, but he returns from time to time. I even used regedit to disable the thumbnail cache, but I get 3 Mb or more of him from time to time.

    Malwarebytes and McAfee say that I own. I just want to confirm that this is normal

    I was told that it's maybe just the size of the cache by default, it seems normal to anyone

    Thank you

    Quite normal.

  • Whence this margin of mystery?

    I started building a website in Dreamweaver CS6.

    Dreamweaver adds a margin of remarks 10px around the content of the page for some reason any. I can't understand why.

    All I have in the body is a header which contains the word "header" and I made the background of the Red header. However this mystery margin or the padding is always appear when I preview the page in my browser. See below:

    Can someone enlighten me as to why this is happening?

    Thanks for reading.

    By default, all browsers add their own margins and padding to HTML elements.   Many web developers use the method Reset CSS.  Or they to zero manually margins and padding in their CSS custom.

    {body

    margin: 0;

    padding: 0;

    }

    header, footer, section and aside {}

    margin: 0;

    padding: 0

    }

    H1, h2, h3, h4, h5, h6, p {margin: 0; padding: 0}

  • Whence this bounding box?

    Hello world

    I have question. In the image as an attachment, you see part of the grey square. There is now a blue box around this place.

    What is doing? How it is there? And how do I activate or disable? If I draw a rectangle, what it is not. It's one thing to styles?

    I really want to know. I NEED to know...

    Thank you for your attention and happy holidays!

    screengrab.PNG

    Yes indeed. But why can't I turn it on rectangles that I create? I have to change the object I create before I turn on skin? It is before can I see this "extra..." box

    No, it should be very easy to add text wrapping to any image:

    (1) draw a picture

    (2) select the image with the selection tool (the black pointer).

    (3) use the text wrapping Panel to apply the dressing.

    When I do that, there is no obvious for the dressing of text visible lines because the offset is zero.

    However, skin is definitely now:

    and if I increase the offset, the 'extra' box becomes visible:

  • Whence this padding?

    The site im working on is here.
    http://www.jameschetwood.com/site/about.html

    The css is there;
    http://www.jameschetwood.com/site/Untitled.CSS

    Their seems to be a layer of padding between the buttons and the top of the container, but I does not specify and I can't seem to turn if off. The buttons are links, if you browse around you see that if the size of the button changes, the padding seems to stay the same.

    Help, please!
    James

    This is the default margin on the

    tag.

    Try to add to your CSS:

    . Button p {}
    margin-top: 0;
    margin-bottom: 0;
    }
