Where Acrobat saves temporary files?

I have Acrobat X value of AutoSave every 5 minutes. It just crashed, but when I opened it the program, he did not invite me to retrieve the automatically saved file. Where is he? Can I open manually?

Here's the location of the automatic backup on Win XP folder: C:\Documents and Settings\utilisateur\Application Data\Adobe\Acrobat\10.0\AutoSave

Win 7: C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Acrobat\10.0\AutoSave\

No, it's impossible to open the tmp folder. File folder gets deleted automatically once you close Acrobat.

No doubt you can set less time for AutoSave so if snacks, Acrobat crashes, you lose the minimum data.

Kind regards

Deepak

I use to manage my DSL modem via an ip address. When I enter FF8 I wonder where to save the file. Why and how can I prevent the FF8 to do this?

And now, whenever I'm in an ip address that I wonder if I want to download the file.

This happens when the modem server does not send the file in text/html, but with a different MIME type.

I tried adding index.html in the event that the server can send this file as text/html.

If your DSL modem has a support Web site, then you can try asking it there advice on how to configure the server modem.

    Hello

Starting at all things Apple, so looking for help, while I still have some hair left.

I am at a total loss, so I hope someone will hold my hand and guide me through the first steps. Once I downloaded a few MP3 files on my PC, where to save / move then I them to iTunes, so that I can then transfer them to my iPod? The following questin I ask will be ' and how do I do this?

Thank you for those who started on MS-DOS and grew through the windows (and now Android).

    Ken

First (to be sure) you have installed iTunes on your computer - correct?

    http://www.Apple.com/iTunes/download/

Then, you can find these useful for importing music into iTunes:

12 iTunes for Windows: importing music and video already on your computer

12 iTunes for Windows: import songs from CD

Then finally, sync them to your iPod:

Sync your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch with iTunes on your computer via a USB - Apple Support

    or

  • where to save the files under options the file name is duplicated how to remove an additional folder with the same name

Under Options in Firefox, I clicked on save the files under downloads, but the file name twice and an additional file with the same name is created in the folder, i.e.:

    G:\Akbar's Songs\HAMARA DOWNLOADS\HAMARA FORUMS DOWNLOADS FORUMS

As you can see the file repeats, how can I fix it?

Also the music files, I download from a site of downloads as a WinRar file and I need to open it. Y at - it an option where the file opens automatically in the folder I chose?

Thanks a lot for your help.

Hi Akush, when you install 7 - zip, make itself the default application to open .zip and .rar files. So if you double click on the .rar file, it should open in 7 - zip. If you prefer to decompress immediately, right click the file and look for new 7 - zip items in the menu. I can't think of a way to do this automatically, however.

  • Firefox 20.0.1 - option 'Always ask where to save the files' not 'Downloads' folder not going.

    Firefox 20.0.1 on WinXP SP3.

Previously, when I always selected "ask where to save files" Firefox would start from the default download folder - it I had shortcuts to locations which usually to record on.

Now Firefox insists on starting from the root of C: - and I don't know how to change this behavior.

I would like it to start from the default download folder it used to. This is the place where I got these shortcuts and I do NOT wish to place these shortcuts to the root of C:.

go to Subject: config find (or copy/paste form here) browser.download.folderList right-click on it, select modify and change the value to 2. Release of firefox, restart it and check again.

    Thank you

  • BlackBerry 10 when the update fails, where are the temporary files?

    Hello

My phone was about 1 GB of available and did an automatic download of the 10.3.2. When I tried installing it says that I need an additional 480 megs. I tried to use the link to date, and it failed (with a msg saying that the update has been interrupted). Then, I deleted about 1 GB of data and tried again. Always has failed, but now I find myself with only 300 megs free.

It seems that the update has eaten to the top of my storage somewhere, probably with temporary files, but I can't find them. Where can I look to see where these files are located so that they can be removed? Control of the storage of the device shows nothing out of the ordinary.

    Hello

They are not in an accessible area of the user. Indeed, given the penalty, I actually recommend that go you to an auto-loader in order to avoid any corruption that chess can be introduced. I hope that you already have a backup.

    Good luck!

  • Designated where to save a file LOOK?

The location of the ridiculous file for the looks is frustrating.  I would like to record my resembles a specific location on my drive... is it possible to designate a folder to save the looks?

Also... the Panel of LOOKS that is set by default at the bottom of the screen seems to give the possibility of opening different folders in each tab, just as the project Panel first, but unfortunately when I click on the small + symbol assuming that you invite a dialogue to select this folder I would open it... rather simply duplicated the default folder.  I have a tab there with my desired folder.

You can specific to the location of each folder, simply open the appearance tab to the maximum (square icon) and you will have a directory at the individual tree a new folder.

  • How to fix: downloads of Firefox is set on "ask me where to save files" permanently

I recently reformatted my computer Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit. It is also the same OS that I used until I formatted it. I installed the latest version of Firefox as usual. But after a few days of use, I noticed that whenever I am downloading something or save an image he'll always ask me to the place where to save my files.

Even if I repeatedly put in a specific directory. I already searched this thread:
    http://support.Mozilla.org/en-us/questions/977944

There are some posts that I don't understand, but I have tried the reset of the Director of downloads and last directory. I also tried to make a new user, but nothing is done, I was not yet successful. I have not tried to uninstall firefox and put it back, because I want to avoid this at any price, because I think that it's a hassle for all my work recently marked with a bookmark and all my emails and details of work in the browser.

Any idea on what to do to solve this problem? It is not a very big problem, but if you think about it, it will be sometimes annoying in the future.

    Anyone experienced this before?

P.S. I don't have this problem until I formatted my computer.

You seem to have some download extensions installed.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance).

    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode without failure.
  • all files have attached .lnk... .cannot open anything... joking ask where to save

See the "the (shortcut) LNK file Association fix" here: http://www.dougknox.com/xp/file_assoc.htm don't forget to read the instructions at the top of the page.

You also need the "EXE File Association fix" on the same page.

Be sure to check for malware, once the exe files work.  Use MalwareBytes Anti-Malware and SUPERAntiSpyware.

  • Scratch the full disc: where temporary files are stored?

    Hello

I just tried to open some files very large image (9 GB total) and when I did I got the message "zero a full disc. Now I understand why, that's happened, but it seems to have eaten a bunch of disk space that's not coming back. I closed since photoshop, rebooted my Mac, etc., but about 10 GB is still used where it wasn't before. I can't locate all temporary files anywhere (prefs only tells me that the scratch disk is my Mac HD, not the files, it's in). Can someone help me with this? Where are the temporary files Ps usually located on a Mac? I need these 10 Go back!

Mac OS x running Photoshop CS3

    Thank you!

Photoshop removes all scratch files remains when it launches and disassociates them when they are created so that they will automatically get deleted if the application crashes.  You should not be able to see them at all.

You have something else to fill your disk.

If your scratch disk is set to the OS boot volume, do not forget that the BONE will fill up space for virtual memory, and more exchanges of scratch your Photoshop files.

  • where does Acrobat store the file history

Have Acrobat 7.1.0 Standard in Windows 7.

Does anyone know in which folder Acrobat saves the file history? This is the 'story' that appears in file-> history

I have not installed on Windows 7, but on XP there: C:\Document and Settings\George\Application Data\Adobe\Acrobat\7.0\organizer70\files. MYD

It should be something similar on Windows 7, maybe something like: C:\Users\George\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Acrobat\7.0\organizer70\files. MYD

  • Remove temporary files Photoshop CC (Windows 7)

I found a bunch of discussions/websites on the temporary files, but they are either on previous versions of Photoshop for over 5 years so I don't know if they are still relevant or that they don't answer my questions. I create a new thread to make sure I have good things.

    1) Where are the temporary files generated by CC in Photoshop? This is the " " "C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Temp" folder? "

    2) what files in this folder are produced by CC in Photoshop? It's all files ending in .tmp or only those who have a certain prefix (like "~ ps")? Mine are some tracking numbers for the .tmp extension. Some are files, other files. Which ones can be deleted safely?

I thought that the normal behavior that temporary files written to the disk to work are purged after termination of the application, unless the software (or computer) goes down, that "cuts" the temporary files that were made at the time, allowing them to hang out regardless of closing and even Purge will not affect the. These are the files that I want to delete.

My Photoshop CC collapsed, but I had a few Mid-work failures of current as well as the computer crashes here and there and never made any cleanup after these things. The computer is freshly started now and Photoshop is not started, the files in this folder that relate to Photoshop so should be sure to get rid of, right?

Disk of my work is my hard disk MBR. Not have performance problems. My Photoshop CC works very well (in the measure of not slow or get crashes/errors anyway). I just want to make sure I know how to manually get rid of Photoshop generates unnecessary files that might still be floating there instead of function of software to do.

    Thank you!

No, you're OK because the TEMP files are only used to contain information about the files that you are currently editing. When you save the file, the file is complete in the backup, and you haven't needed anything that anyone else.

I read (don't know if it's true) that Photoshop cleans the TEMP files each time that it starts, so it will never a plus. But it's unusual, most applications leave a lot behind and cleaning litter is a good thing. My rule is

    * reset

    * Look at TEMP

    * Sort by date

    * Remove any more old than restarting.
