  To add to the suggestion of Bill on Windows 7, remember that Vista Starter, Home Basic, Home Premium and Ultimate out of Microsoft technical support on 10 April and there will be more updates, including critical after this date security patches.  Only Vista business and company will continue to receive updates.  You might consider this a good time to upgrade to Windows 7.

I would have thought the Tosh site would say that they have been abandoned if they were available, I am too naïve?

  Laptops vary according to the specific countries products so you can check what models are available in your country. I googled a bit and found that this NB10T-A-10V is offered in Belgium.
  I don't know where do you live and what models are available in your country but perhaps 10V is not available in your country but a model with another model name, but the same PU141E part number.

  If the reference is the same which means that the hardware is absolutely identical.
  A few years ago, I bought a small NB550. Currently, it was not available in regular online stores, but I found on eBay (offered by the dealer) and I bought as new with valid warranty product.

  The magazine you found is OK and I think you don't need original Toshiba charger.
  If you want to have Toshiba we part number is PA3716E-1AC3.

  Sorry to hear that you are missing that part. This really should be included and you should not have to buy the piece. I recommend to go back to your point of sale and they must replace it for you.
