  Usually, I use the shortcut keys to get to my tools. It's 'B' to get the brush and B"to switch between the brush and the spray brush. To the extent where it is in your screenshot, you seem to have already as the active tool - it's just that you have the "spray" brush selected. Click on this (dark gray) icon to switch to the regular brush (or simply use 'B' on your keyboard).

  I use PE4.0.  Does anyone know of a feature or other software that will allow me to create a video progression of the journey through a card? You have seen him before - often in older movies. I'm going to load the map (0) on the video 1 track and map (1) on the video 2 track. With track 1 visible, I will use the "erase" effect standard to introduce track 2. This should give the appearance of a red line running across the map. I can play with the settings "to delete" to speed up or slow down the progress.

  Any thoughts?

  Personally, I like my 'line' to draw in Photoshop and overlay above (video Track 2) my image of a card (video 1 track). Then I animate Track Matte video overlay track 3, "reveal" my line to the speed I want.
