Where is that JPG, not only RAW files

When I open a camera RAW image, I have this big screen with all these tools:

Title bar: Camera Raw 7.3

Top bar starts with ZOOM, hand, white balance tools.

More on the side right are a number of predefined options such as the "Base", "Tone", "Curve", etc.

(I would like to upload a screenshot, but the insert image feature does not work).

I want to know is how I can get this same screen opening with JPG images, or how I can trigger this screen to open?

Thank you!

In Bridge open the file using cmd/ctrl-R or right click and select "Open in Camera Raw."

You set the font size to a size that is suitable for the size of the document.   Size of the document may vary everywhere.   To resolve this problem in action, I solved in scaling the document to a known size then use a font suitable for a document of this size.  When you resize an image using size with resample Images not only checked a single pixel is change everything that is changed is the DPI image resolution setting.  So if you size a picture 8 "wide you choose a font size is good for wide image 8" the Save action.  To work around the problem of changing the size of the printing I wrote a Script to use in such an action.  The script is used twice, there is a backup and restore script.   The first time that the script is used the script records the resolution DPI images in the metadata documents.  The second time that the script is executed, it retrieves the registered PID parameter deletes the record of metadata from images and set the DPI images that had been saved.    If the use of fonts for the document 8 "will be resized to fit the print original size.

In a script, you can calculate a correct font size to use.  Actions cannot retrieve information or use logic. They need to use the Plug-ing and Script where logic is needed.  When you make using Photoshop UI you use your eyes and brain.

I suggest you please update Camera Raw 9.1.1: Camera Raw of Adobe Photoshop CC and CS6 Installer

Once done, launch Photoshop and click Help > about plug-in > Camera Raw.

And check the version of Camera Raw, you see there, it should be the most recent.

  • Why my actions not treat RAW files correctly?

To begin with, I must say that CS4 has been one of the most reliable software that I've ever used.  This is a beta version.  Adobe makes good Microsoft look these days.  I was extorted by upgrading from CS3 because Adobe has not wanted to create a RAW file of plug-in for CS3 that would open the Canon 5 d Mark II. They wanted the income.

I am an engineer and I am pretty good with computer problems, but after spending hours just trying to install the update CS4 to CS3 on a machine fairly new, very fast Windows with no other software installed by me, I gave up.  It took 3 hours on the phone with a tech from Adobe to make it work (more or less) correctly.  CS4 still freezes approximately once per day on what the system lose whatever changes I made at the time where I finally get it shut down and restarted then a month I bought a laptop Windows new, fast ago.  I installed only CS4 and word on this computer (with all the latest patches and RAW plug-ins).  This is the big problem is in the processing of RAW files.  I have an action that works fine on my other systems I have written from scratch on the new laptop.  The action doesn't open a RAW file in PSD format, resize, convert to sRGB, change the mode to 8-bit, sharpen and save it as a JPG file.  But the JPG that looks not to the file RAW where it was made - color, brightness, contrast, etc. are all significantly changed.  When I come back from a mission and transfer the same RAW files on my other computer that CS4 is installed and perform the same action, the jpgs out perfectly.  Once more, Adobe responded to my low expectations.  Any ideas on what is the problem?

  • 5 LR does not recognize RAW files

So I don't use LR 5 no problem for 6 months and you have imported Sony, Fuji and Canon RAW files without problem.

Today it does not recognize RAW files more. View the new photos in the library module, I see "Preview not available for this file.

Then, when I try to import "this file is not recognized by the raw format support in Lightroom.

I have the latest version (5.7.1) and it is CR2 (Canon RAW), I'm trying to import from a 760D which is apparently supported

    I'm on a PC, Windows 8

    Hi mudmonkey5,

Canon D 760 support has been added in Lightroom 6.0 and I think that's the reason of not being able to import images into Lightroom 5.7.1

You can see this article which States you need to version 6.0 of Lightroom and Camera Raw 9.0 for these raw files: supported by Camera Raw devices

Or, you can use the free DNG Converter to convert the images in DNG and then, how to import them into Lightroom 5.

  • In Lightroom, after that I turned my RAW files to DNG can I delete the original files?

In Lightroom 5, after that I turned my RAW files to DNG can I delete the original files? I am fill hard drives at time (or so it seems) and I remember someone once telling me that after I converted my dng files RAW versions, I could delete my original RAW files.

    Is this true?

    Ideas?

    Entry?

    Thank you!

Yes, you can remove the original RAW files once convert you them to DNG. The only downside is that if you want to use the software from the manufacturer of the camera for a reason, so key information that can be used by the software manufacturer is deleted in the conversion from RAW to DNG.

  • Cc of Lightroom will not import my files, it is said that they are not recognized, why it doesn't matter that a DNG and not a raw file, I use a canon 5 3

Can someone tell me why Lightroom cc wants to import my files under a DNG, I used to import as a raw file, it says the files are not recognized, I use a Canon 5 3 and never had the problem before, he said actually the Raw Format is not supported in Lightroom.

    Thanks in advance John.

    Hi, dj_paige,

I managed to sort it out, the problem was when I used my Kingston card reader to import my images in LR Cc, it would not recognize the file format, so when I thought a little more, tired of importing directly from my 5 d 3, it worked very well, so now I need to find a card reader supports LR CC ,

Thanks for your reply, regards, John.

  • What is the best way to import only raw files in Lightroom?

I have hundreds of files who believed and jpeg files.  The simplistic 'treat raw and JPEG as separate files"cannot remove all jpeg files that some have slightly different names than the raw (several versions of each raw file jpeg) files.  The only way I can find easily select only the raw files in a folder is to move all the non - raw files to a different directory so that Lightroom cannot see them, do the import, and then return the files to the original directory.  Needless to say it's far too much work to consider moving to Lightroom so I have to do for each of hundreds of files.  Is there an easy way to filter by file name pattern and expansion?  I read on some plug-ins that sound as if they must have worked, but so far none seem to do the trick.

Yes, and that's what I thought. Just one question to be sure.

You can do all this with LR and you can also copy the images from the card or the camera in your specific directory/folder or any folder you like and or create a folder at the time of the breeding and importation. All your steps are wrapped in a single process, no bouncing around a program to another.

There is a good article on the net about how to change an import LR preset with a Notepad text editor, for the most part all you want to do.

I had been using the app bridge Photo Downloader for the year to get images of maps to the folder of my choice, the year and place the images in subfolders by date shot with the format 02 09 (day) (month) (0209). This chain of folder is not available in LR. He wants to do something like 2016-02-09 or something like that. But I edited a "Preset" I created to make the exact record of naming (0209) and put my pictures in the folder of higher level of the year. So now if I shoot images spanning 2-3-4 days then copy and import with LR, LR creates 2-3-4 record names and place these files in the top-level of the year folder.

  • Help! Photoshop CC 2014 not recognizing RAW files

Hi This is killing me. Any help would be appreciated.

Here is the story on Windows 7 x 64:

-J' owned photoshop CS6 everything has worked well (could open RAW files)

-Installed in CC 2014, everything has worked (could open RAW files)

-Installed CC 2015 (after removing the other two) it kept crashing. I have tried all sorts of things, checked all the fonts, etc... but no help.

-Anyhoo, I returned to 2014 CC (and deleted CC 2015). Now, I can open is no longer anycamera the RAW files.

I downloaded the lates 9.1.1 Camera Raw and DNG Converter here: Adobe - Adobe Camera Raw and DNG Converter: for Windows: Adobe DNG Converter 9.1.1 ran the executable, and it ends well. But nothing happens in photoshop. I start and constantly get this error when you try to open a NAVE or other RAW file "cannot complete the request because it is not the right kind of document".

I opened these same exact files before on the same machine, before to start messing around with trying to upgrade form CS6. I also tried several other cameras raw files.

In photoshop, when I go to help > plug-in, only two options I see are read and Embed watermark.

I've been playing with it for hours. Tried to uninstall, then reinstall CC 2014 and nothing. I find no information about Manuel installs for Camera Raw.

Thank you all, I did a system reset. It's the only thing that could fix. I liked the good old better plug-ins manual system.

    Better yet, integrate CameraRaw PS

  • How to replace JPG with weeks RAW file later?

    Hi there-

When the Canon S95 is out LR3 don't have not recognize or import the RAW .cr2 files. When you use the camera I would take pictures in RAW and JPG formats, use LR3 to import the jpg files and manually copy the. CR2s in a separate Directory. I can tag and otherwise works on jpg files in my directory main photo in LR3, while as the CR2s gathered dust in a different directory.

Now that LR3 supports. CR2 and I have a slow day, is there an easy way to replace all the files with the relevant RAW file jpg? Which the case for the last XMP data, ideally with the exception of the file extension they will be called the same.

Any suggestion would be great. Thank you.

    Thronsen,

You can import the Raws beside your existing JPEG files, but you can not replace them automatically keep the metadata.

Using Syncomatic Plugin from John Beardy, you could transfer Rating, Label, title, caption, keywords and Collections of JPEGs from Raws of the same base name, but I don't think you can transfer develop JPEGs to Raws settings, because they are not interchangeable in any case. After you transfer you need the Raws, you could delete the JPEG files.

  • CS3 extended bridge not preview raw files from canon 40 d

OK, I just loaded cs3 extended on my laptop and when I opened bridge the first time I got an error message was not the good King of the file. so, my next step was to update ACR 4.5. I intalled that and put the plugin in the file directory. It worked, but now my problem is that the bridge will not preview my raw files in bridge. I then went to tool and purge the cache and which also did not work. My next step was to update Bridge 2.1.1. so I went back to tool to purge the cache and it not even seen raws in bridge. I converted several to JPEG, and they appear in the bridge. I am at a loss of what to do next

    Thank you

The cab card must be in the right folder and there only one copy.  If you have copied it the old copy of my being present so delete or rename it.

The ACR plug won't in the master directory.

It goes into formats of Program Files/COMMON Files/Adobe/plugins/CS3/file.   Must be a here - Camera Raw.8bi file

I think that when you get this sorted out it should work.

For this reason, I could not spend my Photoshop Elements, so I'm stuck with the one I have at the moment. • Could not import RAW files or jpeg in Lightroom 6

I deleted the old version of Lightroom, as I had problems to import photos.  However, he must now be worse after downloading Lightroom 6. I can't import anything into Lightroom at all! Here are the error messages I receive. Can anyone help? I looked everywhere on this site but nothing of all the work of other suggestion (by dragging photos into Lightroom and changing permissions, etc.). I downloaded 6 Lightroom on my MacBook which has OS X Version 10.9.5. The first image is when I tried to import from my memory card. The second is when I tried to import the RAW files from my Dropbox account - they all files are "grayed out on ' so I can't import them. I'd appreciate really any advice on how to solve this problem!

I'm not a MAC person, but I don't think you want to import into System\Library.

You want to select a folder somewhere that is not in the directory system, but a directory that is designed for users to actually put their files, as in the Photos, Documents or an external HD.
