The problem is that I don't know if update the path of the VI with the scripts will cause to update where the build specification looks like when you perform the compilation

My laptop heats up and stops

I bought my laptop in the United States and use the same card. Perhaps that is the reason, but I'm worried seriosly as my mobile after an hour of use would become very hot and stops. I don't know what the problem really is, but lately it seems to stop even quickly.

Your laptop will most likely use a 'universal' adapter so it does not work perfectly well in the United Kingdom as well as in the United States.

Your problem is more likely to be an accumulation of dust in the CPU-heatsink that will reduce its effectiveness to the point where heat build-up causes the thermal protection circuit to opertae and cut the power.

Clean any buildup of dust and also ensure that there is sufficient air to circulate through the cooling system. Leave many spoace around and under your laptop.

SOLVED: Slow wireless internet passthrough after firmware update

If I first bought a Nighthawk in July 2014 and it was great for a while. Then in the notice happened a few months my streaming services are jumping and more than usual buffering (which was almost never with the Nighthawk).

I have a connection of 110Mbps (Comcast and through a SB6141 modem), but all of a sudden was only getting 10 Mbps (or less) passthrough on 5 G wireless band (at the beginning of the speed test would sometimes up to 50 Mbit/s, but on a few seconds would fall to nothing..)

Cable speeds were very good. Always 110Mbps +. Tried several different channels and factory reset the router, wireless speed was still slow. Connected to the Netgear website and submitted a support ticket within 2 hours they sent me with an RMA number and the next day a new unit has been FedEx would be for me. Support rep Tech says it's a problem of material known in some units... I was super impressed with the customer service, it was seriously a no replacement of hassles that took every 15 minutes of my time.

EXCEPT when I got the replacement router in the next few days, he had the SAME PROBLEM. As soon as the new router is on and I'm connected, I've upgraded to the latest version of the firmware, done a factory reset and down Speedtest. And I had the same problem: speed internet passthrough on all my wireless devices has been terrible. Less than 10 Mbps when I have a connection 110 + Mbps. (Wired speeds were great, it was not a problem of modem or provider).

Again contacted support and they asked me to download the latest firmware on laptop and upgrade the router manually, do a factory reset before and after the upgrade. They also told me to try to disable WMM (made no difference speed passthrough, but lower my laptop connection between 433Mbps to 54Mbps speed!).

I tried this... still slow passthough wireless speed.

The only thing that has changed since I first got a Nighthawk in July 2014 (and I've run speedtests then and had a speed 110 wireless + Mbit/s at the time), is that the firmware has updated several times... makes me think...

I downloaded the Netgear support the past 5 versions of the firmware for the Nighthawk. http://downloadcenter.netgear.com/en/product/R7000#sear...

I then manually downgraded the Nighthawk to each previous version (do a factory reset before and after each installation) and ran Speedtest every time. Once I have got down to the R7000 Version - V1.0.3.24_1.1.20 (released 12/02/14) and ran a Speedtest, the PROBLEM has BEEN RESOLVED. Speed wireless devices (laptop, HTC a M7 and iPad Air 2) were all back up to 110Mbps or more!

Hope this experience helps someone else... If your are affected by the passthrough slow internet speeds and it is not your connection speed (i.e. radio parasites) that is the question, there seems to be a serious problem with the latest latest versions of couple... Try downgrading to the R7000 firmware version - V1.0.3.24_1.1.20

UPDATE: Yes, I actually tested the speed with several different devices (a laptop HP HTC a M7 and Nexus 9) each on 5G band, all compatible with the latest updates ac. I also used a few test sites of different speed (speedtest.net, comcast speedtest, cnet speed test), not had the same result all devices and hosts.

However, I actually got in touch with Netgear L2 support for the last month... beta test a few different versions of the firmware of the Nighthawk and even spend more than an hour on the phone one night with a nice guy who told me he was on an island in Southeast Asia, part of the Philippines... This is where Netgear technical support is to halfway between China where they build them and Taiwan where engineers are. After trying all tweak he could think for an hour and not get better speeds wireless, he finally dropped out and wished me a Merry Christmas lol. Not one of these beta firmware made a bit of difference, and I hate the hours that they made me screwing around with them!

BUT today, they released vR7000 - V1.0.4.14_1.1.50 http://support.netgear.com/product/r7000

And to my surprise it actually worked! Not only my high speed wireless is returned (120 + Mbps)

But now everything works (at least for now).

P.S. Maybe it's in my head, but I swear to you that since the last firmware update when running speedtest now or file transfer (while heavy streaming) I can hear the router doing a greater slope electric buzzing/hissing noise is a little disconcerting... I'm not sure my brain fried by overclocked wifi will be worth a high speed in the end...: eek:

I have a request where I build a dll and the functions in the dll must be packaged for use in other software. I am creating the function wrapper for text file automatically. Ideally I ould like to use only the file of the project to do, but there is some information that I don't see in the file.

I don't see where the prototype of the function. For this reason, I tried to build to the VIProtoInfo I can get all the parameter names, if they are controls or indicators and can determine is that they are chains, but I do not see the data type of other types of controls. Close file causes Labview to freeze

I have a Labview program that contains a while loop in which a file is created whenever the loop runs. The file is created at the beginning of the loop and closed at the end of the loop, after that some data is written on this subject. The created file are .raw pictures, and they are about 2.8 MB each.

The program works well at the beginning and creates the first file with no problems and then continues to create the second file, and written in. All goes well until he tries to close the second file with the function to close the file. Then, it freezes completely. There is no error, nothing. Only, he stops and stay there for as long as I don't force-stop program myself.

I searched the Internet and found that the creation and closing of a file to each loop is perhaps too for LabVIEW and it causes crash, but I don't really know how to change this, since I have to create a new file each time.

I have no problem with the aspects of your VI file.

What I see that could be the problem, is that you have a structure of the event buried in the VI. Scrolling ListField

I read many more posts scrolling ListField and they helped me to get that much, but now I'm stuck. I have my list field in a VerticalManager with scroll work. I set it up so that there are 5 visible rows in the ListField. However, when I scroll down past the last visible line (there is currently a total of 9 lines of the list), paint lines is no longer the text of the line. I developed a custom implementation ListField, who has a foreground and background color. The idea is that each line is focused, switch foreground and background of color - the selected line a deep Navy with white text and unselected lines have a white background with marine text. Works very well for the visible rows, but when I scroll beyond rank 5 to reveal the invisible lines, they just paint with the Navy background and white text. Here's my class of custom list field (which was based on something that I found on a forum or in the knowledge base):

I have a situation where I have to convert the ISO date format Date [YYYY-MM - DDTHH24:MI]

Front-end for the date and time, I can enter in 3 different ways.

Input 1. what date / time is completely known

Date: 5 April 2015

Time: 23:56

Input 2. When the date is known, but the time is unclear (the hour is UNK)

Date: 5 April 2015

Time: UNK:56

Entry 3. When the date and time are unknown (month is UNK)

Date: 05-UNK-2015

Time: UNK:56

Here, I am facing the problem with the Time parameter. Please find below scenarios:

Scenario 1: If the time is complete (as input 1) then I'll pass the data type Date in 2nd parameter (5 April 2015, which contains the time internally)

Scenario 2: If the time is incomplete or partially known (as input 2) then I'll pass the Varchar2 data type in 2nd parameter (UNK:56 as string)

Problem statement:

Consider scenario 1; If date & time is over so I'm passing the data type Date (April 5, 2015 23:56) Varchar2, then time will be 5 April 2015 00:00, however I need to get the time (23:56)

Note:

-I can't use the overload of functions.

-I can not change the way call function which I now call.

-I can't do second parameter date because in scenario 2 I have to pass the string "UNK:56".

Please suggest me, how I can address the issue. Your help would be very appreciated.
