  @Robban, just to make things clear, for CS6 serial key will not work with the installation of CS5.5, because both are two different applications. So, as Mylenium says, you won't be able to buy CS5.5 now as its not available for sale more.

  Just since the 8.1 software there is no need to install a license on the vWLC file over, it is based on a model of confidence now.   If you are unable to disable advance, you can contact Adobe customer for help.  But as I said, you can install up to 2 devices.  I think if you try to install on a 3rd device, your other 2 get automatically turned off.  So even if you need to format C, you will always be able to get up and running quickly.

  Is meant by perpetual license "to use for as long as your operating system can run it."   CS6 is almost 3 years old and is no longer updated.  It is what it is.  Currently, 4 versions of the currently available version of creative cloud.
