Where to save downloaded models?

Hi people, I got a set of templates for Dreamweaver CS3. Where should I save them so they will be accessible (and previously viewable) when go to file/new?

Thanks in advance,

JO

The advice of John are on site.

Are you received the 'models', plain old html files vanila, or have they already been created as models of DW, because they already understand the editable and non-editable regions and the file extension ends with tpl.

If they are already the TPL files, and then follow the advice of John set up.

If they are NOT currently TPL files, you wil need to open the document html of the page and save the page as a template

FILE > save as template

Know that you must always define a site DW pointing to the file that keeps all your model files.  If you have more than one package of model - in other words: will create several models - then you need to separate the file, so that you have different folders containing all the separate files for each 'package'... If that makes sense:

Each newly created template is saved in it's own separate models folder in the root of the tree of your files.

These can help when it comes to working with models:

  • 14 Firefox forgets where to save downloads

    Firefox version: 14.0.1
O/s: Windows XP Edition family version 5.1.2600 Service Pack 3 Build 2600

When I try to record a series of image files on the same site in a destination directory using a right click > Save Image under..., frequently (but at random intervals) Firefox forgets where the record of the previous file.
I can correctly save multiple files in the expected folder, then find that the Save As dialog box has forgotten the target folder. Sometimes, it restores the default download folder, but sometimes, it comes in a folder that I used for downloads (on a different Web site) days. It can then return to a different folder, I also used for downloads (from a third party site), also days ago.
Occasionally, I navigate to the folder target for each of a succession of downloaded files, then Firefox starts to remember where files go - don't forget again, later in the series. This means that I have to pay attention to what makes Firefox and wasting time check which folder he thinks is the target, rather than to focus on the task, I'm in show.
I don't remember meeting this stupid behavior and worse in previous versions of Firefox. So far, I noticed only when you use the right click > Save Image under... but cannot download some he did not appear with other methods.

The current versions of Firefox don't forget not the directory download, based on the URL, so if the URL changes then the default folder can be selected if he has not selected a folder for this server before download.

You can disable this feature to not forget the download via the prefs directory Boolean browser.download.lastDir.savePerSite on the topic: config page.

The pref browser.download.lastDir.savePerSite does not exist by default (it's a hidden pref), you will need to create it.

Create a new pref Boolean with the name browser.download.lastDir.savePerSite and set it to false.

You may need to clear the "Site preferences" via clear recent history to delete already stored data.

    Hello

When you start a download you can change the disc, folder and name of the download file
as you wish. So, no matter what the default value is fixed you can modify as you wish. Notice the
the path back to the top when you start a download.

You can change the default value.

  • How to fix: downloads of Firefox is set on "ask me where to save files" permanently

I recently reformatted my computer Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit. It is also the same OS that I used until I formatted it. I installed the latest version of Firefox as usual. But after a few days of use, I noticed that whenever I am downloading something or save an image he'll always ask me to the place where to save my files.

Even if I repeatedly put in a specific directory. I already searched this thread:
    http://support.Mozilla.org/en-us/questions/977944

There are some posts that I don't understand, but I have tried the reset of the Director of downloads and last directory. I also tried to make a new user, but nothing is done, I was not yet successful. I have not tried to uninstall firefox and put it back, because I want to avoid this at any price, because I think that it's a hassle for all my work recently marked with a bookmark and all my emails and details of work in the browser.

Any idea on what to do to solve this problem? It is not a very big problem, but if you think about it, it will be sometimes annoying in the future.

    Anyone experienced this before?

P.S. I don't have this problem until I formatted my computer.

You seem to have some download extensions installed.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance).

    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode without failure.
  • Firefox 20.0.1 - option 'Always ask where to save the files' not 'Downloads' folder not going.

    Firefox 20.0.1 on WinXP SP3.

Previously, when I always selected "ask where to save files" Firefox would start from the default download folder - it I had shortcuts to locations which usually to record on.

Now Firefox insists on starting from the root of C: - and I don't know how to change this behavior.

I would like it to start from the default download folder it used to. This is the place where I got these shortcuts and I do NOT wish to place these shortcuts to the root of C:.

go to Subject: config find (or copy/paste form here) browser.download.folderList right-click on it, select modify and change the value to 2. Release of firefox, restart it and check again.

    Thank you

You set downloads to always go to a folder or to ask you every time.

    • Options > general > downloads section

      • ' Save files to: "and choose a folder (always stops in this case) {This is the default setting for Firefox, you can change the folder or move in" always ask me... "} {"below}

  • Error: failed to create or save new files in the folder where it was downloaded during the upgrade from Windows Vista to Windows 7

Attempt to upgrade Windows Vista to Windows 7

I try to update my Windows Vista to Windows 7. I bought to download the rom update the Microsoft store and downloaded, but when I try to start the upgrade I have a stateing message that it is impossible to create or save new files in the folder where it was downloaded. I checked the security permissions in the file and made sure that no programs are 'read only', but it won't always go beyond this point!

    Hello

What is the edition of Windows Vista installed on the computer?
Make sure that you upgrade to the correct version, some versions of Windows cannot be upgraded with the installation disc you are trying to use. For example, you cannot upgrade a 32-bit version of Windows to a 64-bit version, or upgrade a higher edition of Windows like Windows Vista Ultimate Edition, to a lower edition, such as Windows 7 Edition Home Premium. If this is the case, you will need to use the custom during installation option.
Before you attempt to upgrade, please run the Windows 7 upgrade Advisor:
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/downloads/Upgrade-Advisor
Also, check if your computer is compatible for Windows 7, using the Compatibility Center:
    http://www.Microsoft.com/Windows/compatibility/Windows-7/en-us/default.aspx
To learn more about the upgrade process, please visit the link below:

The classic way is to select always ask me where to save files in the Options tab. To open it, click on the menu button at the top right and select Options, the corresponding feature is in the general Panel, downloadssection.

  • Save downloads and import bookmarks do not work

Hi, I have a few problems with firefox lately. First of all, I couldn't save my download. The map is linked to the default Downloads", but I can not change the map option is grayed out. In addition, change the 'ask where to save' option is not helped either. If I try to download something, while the "ask where to save" option is selected, nothing happens. No window pop up no error messages, nothing. I have tried everything on the mozillazine site http://kb.mozillazine.org/Unable_to_save_or_download_files, unfortunately to nothing does not. Then then I tried a complete uninstall and reinstall. This did not help my problem. In fact, it became worse I tried to import my favorites. Support on restore again did nothing. No window pop up an error message. I have tried pressing other random options as backup, import and export of html code. All these options do nothing as with the download.

    Can someone help me please?

    Hello

Unless you selected the option 'Remove my Firefox personal data' during the uninstall, your profile folder has been preserved. Firefox works correctly if you use the Reset function?

If this isn't the case, then other software on your computer may prevent it working correctly. It works fine when you start Windows in Mode safe?

If Firefox works Windows safe mode, check your settings in your firewall and anti-virus. If you have rules set up for Firefox, can help to remove and re-create them manually.
