Where will my deleted emails? OE

OS = XP. Server IMAP (1and1). After a few household on Outlook Express 6, I deleted a large number of files. I also go to Tools/Options/Maint/Clean Up Now and emails compacted. Nothing is checked in the Maintenance tab. Now, all the emails that I remove from OE stopped going to the basket. They simply disappear. I can drag emails to trash and they are visible. I have remove usually by highlighting the button Delete email (s) and pressing, then later to purge. To try to fix it, I deleted the "imap 1and1.deleted messages dbx' and 'delete items dbx '. But the I deleted files have disappeared, the .dbx file that they were in did appear to reduce much (or at all). I restarted. If I delete e-mails from 1and1 webmail they go in the trash and are visible on OE. I hope I gave you enough information to help out me. 1and1 tried but it was useless, I'm afraid. Thank you very much. Sue

I'm unsure of your Setup, as I don't know is that 1and1, and OE has a record of spam itself.  Ensure that messages you delete are not just being scored in reading and you have the updated files to read messages to hide | Current view.  If this isn't the issue, then try to go to the file. Identities and setup a new identity to give you a new message store and then add your accounts here and see if they behave properly.  If so, then use file | Import | Messages to bring them from the old identity.

I use the Apple Mail application on my iMac.  I have two gmail accounts that I use frequently.  My question is, what is the path for email.  I guess that when you delete an e-mail, it goes in the trash?  Then check in but when?  I wouldn't be able to recover all emails deleted at least for a month or two?   Thanks in advance for your help.

Yesterday, August 22, Mozilla has undergone a massive rupture and complete in the treatment of Yahoo. Initially I thought it was a virus. I immediately passed to Google Chrome & worked on it without difficulty throughout the day. Yahoo was to push all the data/items on the left side of the screen. Who set to date, August 23. HOWEVER, with Yahoo mail problem. Out of the blue, it is impossible to delete emails Yahoo on Mozilla. If you single click to select a list of deleted emails, they automatically opens. I hope you can help!

You have corruption of dbx files.

Spend most of your messages out of the Inbox and move the messages you want to record off deleted items, and sent items. Locate the OE message store and then close OE.

Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

In Windows XP, Win2K & Win2K3 the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder Options icon | Opinion, or in Windows Explorer. Tools | Folder options | View.

With OE closed, find the Deleted Items.dbx and Sent Items.dbx files and delete them. New files will be created automatically when you open OE.

Compact all folders as described below.

To avoid this in the future:

Do not archive mail in the receipt or sent items box. Create your own user-defined folders and move messages you want to put in them. Empty the deleted items folder daily. Although the dbx files have a theoretical capacity of 2 GB, I recommend all a 300 MB max for less risk of corruption.

I can't print my side windows, so I send files to my Mac via a connection from Server (smb://my ip address) for printing.  On mac, I deleted a file in the shared folder and really needed again, but he does not appear in the Recycle Bin of my mac or windows.  any ideas?

A warning came saying the file will be removed from paques1861, and if it should continue... but I thought it would be MOVED immediately into the trash...

Well you can not say you were not warned.  Being deleted and moved to the "Trash" or "Recycle Bin" are not then same thing and already stressed Robert with shared network files deleted immediately just as according to the warning message.

When a file is deleted if it was direct delete or havening been sent to the "trash" and or 'Recycle Bin' and then emptied the computer, physical or virtual according to file the deleted file system was on, it reboot immediately with the appropriate recovery disk containing the software needed to restore or recover the deleted file then from this moment forward diminish the chances for the success of the recovery.  Even a immediately restart with the recovery disk appropriate containing the software needed to restore or recover the deleted file does not guarantee recovery will be successful, however, it is at this time the best chance occurs and it goes down from there.

Thus, if it is not prepared to handle this situation by having the tools at hand and or cannot use another computer to set up the necessary tools to deal with a problem like this then lets hope an a a backup of the file.

  • Outlook express 6 will not let me delete emails

I can't delete emails from my Inbox on my outlook file Express 6. I can read them and then they show that I have, however none will remove.

[I swear to you that I had already answered in this post!]

    1. move all the messages that you want to keep out of the folders Inbox, sent items and deleted items and in other local OE folders have created you for archiving (backup) of such messages.

    2. Note the location of the store of your identity (http://www.insideoe.com/files/store.htm#storemain).

2B. turn on "Show hidden folders and files" via start | Control Panel | Folder options | View (see http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial62.html).

    3. close OE.

    4. in Windows Explorer, navigate to your storage folder, find & delete the files Inbox.dbx , Outbox.dbx, Sent Items.dbxand Deleted Items.dbx.

    5 empty the trash.

To avoid such problems in the future, comply with the following restrictions:

N ' not use Inbox or sent items to archive messages.  Move them to local folders created for this purpose.

-Empty the deleted items folder daily.

-Frequently perform a manual compact of all OE while records that "work offline".  More on http://www.insideoe.com/files/maintain.htm

-Do not cancel automatic compacting, where it would happen and do not try to close OE via Manager tasks or stop your Automatic compaction machine can take place.

  • I have problems with Windows Mail where if I delete an email it comes back and does not show as being deleted.

original title: windows mail emails will not remove properly

I have 3 email accounts Windows settings on my computer. Two work well but we do not. When I try to delete an e-mail message from any folder, it is always visible until I have let the record can return and then it is transferred in the deleted folder. If I try to remove it from there it remains, but when I leave the folder and back then it will be deleted? Please help very frustrating

Try to compact and repair the database and see if that fixes the problem (see www.oehelp.com/WMUtil/).  If not, then look for antivirus or other 3rd party program interference (see www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3 of many antivirus programs are not compatible with WinMail).  But suffice it to compact and repair the database could solve the problem.

    Hello

This could be a problem with the e-mail application on the computer that could request an update.

You permanently delete emails or they are stored in the folder to be deleted?

If the mails that remove you are not important, I suggest trying to permanently delete and check if you still find in the Inbox when you start Mail app next time.

In mail application Windows 8 to remove the mass once emails at a time, you must hold down the ctrl key and right click on the email you want to delete. Move delete the folder and delete the emails from here too. Close the application and restart it to see if it returns back. If so, you can proceed with the following methods:

    Method 1:

Download and run the troubleshooter modern UI App and check. Check out the link:

You are right. Indeed, the gMail app, produced by Google (available at m.google.com) produces a sync two-way e-mail with own correction.
