• Characteristics of SAN and how you use them

  We are considering purchasing a Dell MD3000i, half filled with SAS 8x15k the rest filled with 7 x 1 TB 7.2 k.

  Due to a limited budget, we cannot go for Equallogic fantasy play all.  This will be our backend for our virtual machine environment.  Right now we have an Infortrend 16bay SATA to iSCSI box that works, but it is not that we will get the best performance out of it.

  The question arose about snapshot and virtual disk copy software licenses.  We wonder how 'you' use these features.

  We thought on the shots and it's a great idea, we do not understand how snapshots taken a whole lun with 10 virtual machines on it would benefit unless there was a major disaster where several machines were lost or damaged.  Currently, we do monthly backups of our model and our VM server machines with VCB VDI.  We also backup data using Backup Exec servers.

  So with our backup strategy, I don't know how the shots or virtual disk copy would benefit.

  Any ideas?

  All the basic features of SAN are nice haves, but should be part of a comprehensive solution that fits your needs.  Snapshts based table are nice, but you pointed out the falls.  You get a point in time for your LUNS together, so if you're not isolate VM per LUN, then you get an all or nothing approach.  And, if you're not using VCB and/or creation of backups, then you get inconsistent backups.  But as a lifeline, they have a nice to have.

  The bit of functionality that is useful is dedup, if accessible to the public, is who can recover some drive for you, as well as mirroring for DR functionality.

  This means you have Streaming Server License and that you can not use unsigned applications. You're bound to use only the applications 'live' & 'vod '.

  If you want to try other applications just for the purpose of learning, you can install Developer Edition.

  I am trying to install a handler for IO VISA in my code that will read the data of the TCPIP socket.  The data are to be pulsated in connected equipment.  I did the following successfully:

  Opens the default resource manager,

  Opens the ethernet device,

  Set the attribute to TCPIP NODELAY

  Set the timeout for 5000

  Installed my manager

  Permit in the event of e/s

  I now expect this event to launch every time that data of the impulses from the device.  Am I correct in this assumption?

  In my event handler, I perform a viRead for the maximum number of bytes that I expect to get.  From what I see the event handler does not run.  I looked for examples of code for this and I can't find nothing explicit.  I read about the viAsyncRead, but I don't want to read until that data is from the device... or am I wrong here, too.  This is my real first shot using VISA with ethernet - in general, I did the serial port RS232 work with a timer async and the Windows entry queue.

  You might consider treatment initially interaction with your generic device such as a TCP/IP connection.  This will allow you to specify a callback function in the time you connect, which is triggered in response to a number of events.  One of these events is called TCP_DATAREADY, which seems especially about your situation.  The particular event detected is specified in the parameter to the callback function xType.  In the body of the callback function, you can then run the various VISA features you want.  An example that shows this approach is called a server side finger.cws.  You should be able to find this example by searching in the finder for example CVI for TCP.

  Go to the Explorer. Look for *. CFA on your D drive. Select all and delete. Repeat this for *. PEK. Then go to the directory of Adobe Premiere Pro preview files and remove the complete directory in this directory. It will end with. Safety valve in the directory name. Then go to the PR and select Edit/Preferences/Media and clean the media Cache. Then save all the remaining files to your disk storage and clean up afterwards, the rest of your D drive by deleting everything that is no longer necessary.

  I think that your solution would be to set up a group of different RADIUS servers with the new server of the new group and use the new group to authenticate your vty. The config might look like this:

  AAA server Ganymede group + vty_TAC

  Server 10.50.60.70

  enable AAA authentication login vtymethod group vty_TAC

  10.50.60.70 host key radius-server *.

  I set up this kind of thing and it worked fine. When I set it up I have explicitly configured (so named) two different RADIUS server groups and referenced groups of specific servers for each authentication method. I did not understand if it works to keep the default group Ganymede + and use it for your authentication normal or if you may need to configure a default group for this.

  Try it and tell us what is happening.

I also have two network cards integrated with my motherboard. Now, is it possible to use the secondary router for my virtual server for my test environment?

  So far, I connected the external port of the ISP router on the internal port of the router Cisco-for the basic configuration. I guess, I need to connect the secondary of my host network adapter to the router cisco-but then, I do not know how to configure vmware to use secondary nic as NIC default.

  Right, I found the solution, but I thought I'd share it for people who do not know.

  Router installation as follows:

  ISP-router to Host (NIC_1) to the host (192.168.0.1) connectivity

  ISP-router-Cisco-router (Internet Port) (192.168.1.1)

  MUST be on different subnets

  Cisco-router to Host (NIC_2) (in the NIC_2 adapter properties, all checkboxes except VMware Bridge Protocol MUST be deselected HOST, so please use NIC_2)

  VMware, Virtual Network Editor, full of connection Type must be selected as MANUAL that points to your NIC_2

  AND

  the parameters of the Virtual Machine to the network card, ' Custom: specific Virtual Network ' should point to NIC_2.

  This will allow you to use your second NETWORK card for your virtual machine (but the MAC address will be assigned by VMware... does cause no problem at all)

  Your virtual, in my case, Windows Server 2008 R2 operating system, will be no connectivity until you assign a static TCP/IPv4 address.

  This will isolate your virtual network on your home network.

  I hope this helps the other.

  you will need to find an official clock that has an RSS feed, create a script server to load this power and send to your swf file after your swf calls the script.  You can then analyze the flow in your swf file and use it to display the clock that you created.
