Which edition of my dng files Miss soften skin, choice of camera calibration. How do I get back them?

I've seen many options for the calibration of the camera. I only get "Adobe Standard". Lack also the drop down menu of choices that come with "soften skin". Thanks for your help.

  • I have some encrypted files accidentally and cannot access it now. How can I get back them?

I've been messing around with the parameters of property on some files and I found the encryption option and clicked on it.  I couldn't say it makes all the difference (ignorance), so I did not bother to deselect it.  It was a few months ago.  My computer recently crashed and I wiped it and reinstalled the operating system.  I keep all my files on an external hard drive, so I didn't save anything.  I went to access these old files after the computer is running again and realized that I can not open them now.  What should I do to decrypt?  Thank you!

Since you don't back up your encryption keys, the data is inaccessible forever. Delete and move. There is no backdoor to EFS encryption. Next time be more careful about the use of the advanced features such as encryption without having to learn first about them. I'm sorry for your loss. Restoring to factory settings formats the disc, and which erases
everything what he. You probably get something new, but you can
try to do a search on the web for a recovery program that unformats the reader
    like here: http://www.easeus.com/resource/unformat.htm

If you unformat the drive successfully and can recover lost files
back, the first thing you should do copy on an external
(CD, DVD, USB sticks, external hard drives, etc.).
    Two other points/questions:

    1. why restore you to the factory settings? This is usually the worst
approach to solve a problem, there's a lot of extra long hard
work and often leads to problems of its own (as it did here).

    2. I assume you have no backup on external media from your
photos of important files etc. In this case. you played with
the fire. You can read this article on the backup that I wrote:

The email you see in sent items. Is - this mail you thought you deleted a long time ago? If so, it almost sounds like you had an old identity.

Two reasons the most common for what you describe is disruption of the compacting process, (never touch anything until it's finished), or bloated folders. More about that below.

    Recovery tools:

If you use XP/SP2 or SP3, and are fully patched, then you should have a backup of your dbx files in the Recycle Bin (or possibly the message store), copied as bak files.

To restore a folder bak on the message store folder, first find the location of the message store.

Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

In Windows XP, the .dbx files are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in the Solution Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder options | View.

Close OE and in Windows Explorer, click on the dbx to the file missing or empty file, then drag it to the desktop. It can be deleted later once you have successfully restored the bak file. Minimize the message store.

Open OE and, if the folder is missing, create a folder with the * exact * same name as the bak file you want to restore but without the .bak. For example: If the file is Saved.bak, the new folder should be named saved. Open the new folder, and then close OE. If the folder is there, but just empty, continue to the next step.

First of all, check if there is a bak file already in the message. If there is, and you have removed the dbx file, go ahead and rename it in dbx.

If it is not already in the message, open the trash and do a right-click on the file bak for the folder in question and click on restore. Open the message store up and replace the .bak by .dbx file extension. Close the message store and open OE. Messages must be in the folder.

If messages are restored successfully, you can go ahead and delete the old dbx file that you moved to the desktop.

If you have not then bak copies of your dbx files in the Recycle Bin:

DBXpress run in extract disc Mode is the best chance to recover messages:
    http://www.oehelp.com/DBXpress/default.aspx

    And see:
    http://www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#4

A general warning to help avoid this in the future:

Do not archive mail in default OE folders. They finally are damaged. Create your own folders defined by the user for mail storage and move your mail to them. Empty the deleted items folder regularly. Keep user created folders under 300 MB, and also empty as is possible to default folders.

Disable analysis in your e-mail anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer of protection that devours the CPUs, slows down sending and receiving and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs, account setting changes and has even been responsible for the loss of messages. Your up-to-date A / V program will continue to protect you sufficiently. For more information, see:

  • What can I do? I just change a pdf file, after you finish and save the changes, the stroke of the Acrobat Reader and lost all my changes, how do I get back them, he had a lot of work.

What should I do toget back the changes that I made a PDF doc because Acrobat just stops?

    Hey Woisix,

The auto save feature prevents changes to PDF since be lost after an unexpected interruption.

Open the file to which you were changes. When you are prompted, click Yes to open the automatically saved files.

If auto-save is turned off, then restart of the Preferences dialog box.

Open Edit > Preferences > Documents and check "automatically save document changes to temporary file every XX minutes" and specify minutes for how often you want to save changes to the PDF files.

If this feature has been disabled, so it is not possible to recover lost in the PDF file changes.

  • Link and other programs missing HP Touchsmart program - how can I get back them?

I had problems with the music library in the TouchSmart software, so I contacted HP and they told me to do a restore system from the recovery partition. I did this and everything seemed to be going well until I started the TouchSmart software, before I did the system restore, I had quite a few programs in the program bar at the bottom of the screen which included the clock, calendar, RSS feeds etc... etc... but after the restoration, I noticed that many of these programs were lacking including link program

    2 questions: -.

    (1) how can I get all these programs back, so that the program bar includes all programs he did before I did the restore

    (2) how can I get the link back program? I ' ved uninstalled the program and let the HP update software install-it seemed to do this, but the program is still in the application of HP's TouchSmart.

    Help...

I managed to solve the problem-

Fortunately I did a set of food DVD

I restored my first system using the image on my HDD - did not seem to restore the system correctly

I then tried the DVD restore that I created - Hey Presto they were working - system returned to a State where I had it first, including program link in the Touchsmart software.

  • I can't restore my backup files. How can I get back them?

If you have already backed up your files and was able to access the data, you know that it can be very frustrating.  Often users will try to recover their data from disks to find that one of the drives does not work.  At first glance, this seems to mean that you can not return to your data.  Fortunately, there is a solution.

This thread applies to CDs of backup created by using the "backup feature" of the available menu F11 HP system recovery when starting.  For more information on this feature, take a look at this document.

You will need to download and install 7 - ZIP.  Here's a direct link to their site.

After installing 7 - ZIP, launch the program and navigate to your CD-ROM drive.  You should then see a series of files named * number *. WIM.  Double-click on the first of these files and it will open showing your C: drive.  You can then navigate through the files and select those you want to keep.  To keep the files just select and click the button "Check out" at the top of the application.

I hope some of you find this useful!
