Which explains the staff of HP is a lot less replying to a thread, but poor in the solution?

So far, the guys were impressive, your metric "time to first response" must be really good, I love how fast you get in return.  With regard to 'time to solution', from my experience, it is awful.

Look at my three sons, they are all on the same subject, none of you were able to give me (and others, I'm not alone) the answer.

Last frustration must be asked to download a form from the AppStore tool that does not exist.  ????

Question is simple, I'm under OSX 10.9, I a C4780, I changed my router, I don't have the CD with the printer, the WPS process generates an error on my printer.

How to bring this printer on the wireless network again?

Thank you.

Sylvain

Hi @sylvainstgermai ,

Because the printer is not yet recognized by an ad-hoc connection, most likely, it's a hardware problem.

    Thank you!

    The BEST way to get help when you ask questions is:

    1 ask questions on SPECIFIC things

    2. tell us EXACTLY what term, value, etc. ask abaout

    Book says join faster that the subquery in this example because the analyses involved. The "cost" to the subquery appears lower than the cost for the join. So it is confusing to me - aka How should I be interpreting this.

    OK - what BOOK are you talking about? There is not much interest to mention a book if you're not going to tell us which book it and provide a link to it and even a page number. This gives us the SCOPE of your question.

    This "cost for the subquery" are you talking about? Be specifc. It is in one of the plans that you posted? What plan? Whose cost is it? For example, you could say:

    I have a question for the foreground below. Why is the cost to the xx line lower than the cost of the second plan on line AA?

    This question refers CLEARLY to the info we're talking. The way in which you stating the question, we try to guess what plan and the lines you want to say.

    subquery plan:

    join plan

    as you can see the subquery plan has less of a cost. Could someone explain from these outputs as to which query is more efficient. I need to start from somewhere.

    Are you talking about line #1 in each of these plans?

    Please edit your post and tell us EXACTLY what you ask in the topic and refer to values and SPECIFIC lines. Also post a link to the book and a reference to a page number you got the information from.

    The optimizer generally chooses the REAL implementation with the lowest cost plan. It is not clear whether the plans that you have posted are ACTUAL spending plans that Oracle really determined and used or just explain plans.for what Oracle thought it might use.

    If the statistics are not up-to-date these plans do not yet reflect the reality of the data.

    And if the amount of data is a small number of blocks or other of these plans can run better than the other in reality.

    You can find this Oracle white paper "Explain the Plan explaining" useful

    the optimizer's decisions are based on the object (and maybe system) statistics: so it's a good idea to provide as much information as possible in these statistics. Basically, there is nothing wrong with statistics automatic collection job - so I would count on that if I don't have very good reason to use anything else. Of course, there are some situations in which it's a good idea to add a few adjustions for automatic collection: sometimes, there is too much created histograms, sometimes there is too little (basically you have histograms when the distribution of the data is not yet). And if there are columns with correlated values who serve together in boundary conditions then create extensive statistics may be a good idea. To make these adjustions, you can use the routines of pref dbms_stats. And sometimes, it may even be a good idea is not to collect statistics for an object and use the sample dynamic (dynamic statistics) for more detailed information on the cardinality of distribution and join.

    In the book of my opinion Jonathan Lewis cost base Oracle Fundamentals still contains the best explanation of the use of optimizer statistics - and Christian Antognini Oracle performance troubleshooting also provides a lot of valuable information about statistics and their gathering. Of course the documentation also explains the basics in detail: Managing optimizer statistics - 11 g Release 2 (11.2). And if you want to get a shorter summary, then you can always take a look at the Web of Tim Hall site: https://oracle-base.com/articles/misc/cost-based-optimizer-and-database-statistics.

  • Catalogs and Collections?  Which is the correct way / better to organize a large library of images?

    Hi all

    I decided to spend time in organizing and creating a backup decent system for my personal iibrary of images which is about 500Gig.

    I used CaptureOne for years, but to do research the best software to use for this purpose, decided to jump in the use of Lightroom.

    I am now reasonably confident with the basics of importing and creating catalogs / folders / Collections etc., but there seems to be a slight fracture on how people break there images using these tools.

    Some people recommend that this is done by creating multiple catalogs is to say every year or even by use / event because it prevents LR latecomers under duress of a large portfolio.   Others say to keep catalogs to an absolute minimum and sort all Collections projects instead.

    I am sure that there is no absolute right and wrong and a lot is probably down to personal preferences, but can I ask the community if you would mind throwing some advantages and disadvantages of each method please?

    Many thanks for any help

    John was soon

    Some people recommend that this is done by creating multiple catalogs is to say every year or even by employment

    It is a horrible idea which defeats the entire purpose of the Lightroom library Module. Any who recommend what needs to explain how it is preferable, because it isn't better somehow, in my opinion.

    If you have multiple catalogs, you can not search for your set of photos. You find not all photos with particular metadata, you can find the photos with this metadata in a catalog.

    because this would prevent late LR under the constraint of a major portfolio

    A problem that does not exist. People in this area and other forums report catalogs more 500 000 pictures works well.

    Others say to keep catalogs to an absolute minimum and sort all Collections projects instead.

    Most people I know (including most of the people in this forum I've read) say to keep everything in a single catalog. Use keywords and other metadata, no collections, as your tool main body. Smart Collections are used as a mechanism of research (not a mechanism of "spell"). Regular collections are used to group the pictures together for a specific task, such as the creation of a book, slideshow, web page, etc. (again not a mechanism of "spell".

  • Please explain the guidelines related to the Platform.invokeLater and reuse of cell in tableview

    Hello

    1.

    Whenever I see tableview in JavaFX 2 + I see

    1. @Override
    2. public Sub updateItem (last element of the string, Boolean void) { }
    3. Super .updateItem (element, empty);
    4. if (item != null) {
    5. button.setText (item);
    6. setGraphic (button);
    7. else
    8. (setGraphic)); /
    9. }
    10. }

    11. So basically, this method is called for each item in my list. Now my questions:

      + where element can be null? I have a list < String > so I don't see the point of what's going on

      + Why does the (null) setGraphic else? Or more if the item is null then null graphics also.

      I understand that this code is related to the loading of data that you highlight and reuse the cells, but it is not clear to me how it works. Please explain a little bit what happens and what makes the super.update done too if possible.

      2.

      1. Platform.runLater (new Runnable() { })
      2. public void run() {
      3. final Node scrollBar = comboBox.lookup (".scroll-bar: vertical ');
      4. scrollBar.setOpacity (0,);
      5. }
      6. });

      In the present code why can't then I just directly called search & 'SetOpacity?

      I suppose that if I call it directly then it will run right in this moment. But if I wrap in this executable, then it is added to a queue of javafx, which will process my application when it can then perhaps do not stress the UI? But I don't know, can you tell if it is correct or not I think?

      I think it's very important for all developers who start with FX to understand the purpose of the present code.

      Thank you

      Desmond

      (When you have two questions, please post two separate interviews. It makes it easier for people to seek and find the answer in the future).

      So basically, this method is called for each item in my list.

      No, actually.

      The cells are just for rendering in your list items. If you have a lot of articles (or even a lot), so some scrolls off the screen, TableCells will not be created for them. In addition, the user scrolls around, the cells that represent the items that scroll off the screen can be used for items that are now visible. The updateItem (...) method will be called to update the cell to display the new item in this case.

      If relatively few cells is created. On the other hand, the updateItem (...) method can be called in quite frequently in certain circumstances as the cells are re-used.

      + where element can be null? I have a list of , so I don't see the point of what's going on

      There are two possibilities:

      1. The cell is empty. Note that in a table with very few objects, the table is filled with empty lines. Those are always represented by cells, which have the empty flag set to true and the item the null value property.
      2. NULL is a valid value perfectly put in (some implementations of) list. Therefore, it is possible that you really have null values in your list. In addition, in a TableView property to the value of the column for a given row can be set to null.

      + Why does the (null) setGraphic else?

      If the cell contained a non-null value before and is updated to represent a null value, then you will need to remove the graphic. (Otherwise you may find yourself with buttons in the empty lines, which is probably not what you want.) This can happen if the lines are removed, or possibly during scrolling like cells are reused (the latter is possible, but it is difficult to see what happens to implementation). In trees, the cells can become empty as nodes in the tree are reduced.

      What makes the super.update makes

      The default TableCell performs a lot of work. He calls the behavior by default until your custom implementation is called. This default behavior includes up-to-date of the item and empty properties to new values, saving listeners of the mouse to the selection behavior and editing behavior if the cell is editable, etc..

      It is not clear to me how it works

      It's not really supposed to be. It is object oriented programming: you're supposed to only rely on the feature (which it does) rather than implementing (how it does). This frees up developers to JavaFX to vary the implementation (to improve performance, for example) from one version to the other, as they did quite significantly from 2.2 JavaFX JavaFX 8. All you know is that some cells are created, they can be reused, and the updateItem (...) method will be called whenever the modification of the element in a particular cell. Which may be because the property that the cell is the changed view, either because the cell was re-used for another element. The cells can become empty due to reuse. No guarantees are made as to how and when reuse will occur. (Make these guarantees would greatly limit the ability of the JavaFX team to change things in the future)

      In the present code why can't then I just directly called search & 'SetOpacity?

      It's not easy without a context, but I guess that this code is in a (...) Platform.runLater to ensure that the nodes were posted on the screen.

      The problem is that research based on css will not succeed usually until a render pass is filed, which is always after the step was established, but can not be immediately after. The Platform.runLater (...) here forces the code to execute after all what is currently pending on the Thread of the FX Application.

    12. Explain the interpretation of the Plan

      Hi friends!

      I ve an anomaly in time of response of two databases that are equal between the two when I run the same query.

      On the first DB, when I run the query it takes 20 seconds, but on the second DB, the same query at 02:40 minutes.

      This Don t of sense to me, because the first DB contains a lot of data as second DB...

      I ve got the plan to explain both, but I Don t know how to interpret.

      It's the first DB EP, which is the fastest to execute the query (20 "):

      ********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************

      SELECT STATEMENT CHOOSECost: 4 K bytes: 934 K cardinality: 4 K

      ORDER of 17 SORTING BY cost: 4 K bytes: 934 K cardinality: 4 K

      FILTER 16

      13 LOOPS IMBRIQUEES SEMI cost: 4 K bytes: 934 K cardinality: 4 K

      TABLE 11 ACCESS BY INDEX ROWID IMO. IDDPAR cost: 4 K bytes: 892 K cardinality: 4 K

      BITMAP 10 ROWID CONVERSION

      9 BITMAP AND

      5 BITMAP OR

      2 BITMAP CONVERSION TO ROWID

      1 INDEX RANGE SCAN NON-UNIQUE IMO. IDDPARX10 Cost: 306

      CONVERSION OF BITMAP ROWID 4

      3 INDEX RANGE SCAN NON-UNIQUE IMO. IDDPARX10 Cost: 3

      14 INDEX UNIQUE SCAN UNIQUE IMO. Cardinality of PK_IDDPAREX1: 1

      ********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************

      And it's the second DB, for the same query of course EP (2'40 "):

      **********************************************************************************************************************************************************

      SELECT STATEMENT CHOOSECost: 6 K bytes: 886 K cardinality: 4 K

      7 FILTER

      4 LOOPS IMBRIQUEES SEMI cost: 6 K bytes: 886 K cardinality: 4 K

      TABLE 2 ACCESS BY INDEX ROWID IMO. IDDPAR cost: 6 K bytes: 850 K cardinality: 4 K

      1 INDEX RANGE SCAN NON-UNIQUE IMO. IDDPARX5 cost: 298 cardinality: 11 K

      UNIQUE 3 INDEX SCAN UNIQUE IMO. PK_IDDPACX1 bytes: 417KO cardinality: 43 K

      TABLE 6 ACCESS BY INDEX ROWID IMO. IDDPARE cost: 1 bytes: cardinality 1: 16

      5 INDEX UNIQUE SCAN UNIQUE IMO. Cardinality of PK_IDDPAREX1: 1

      **********************************************************************************************************************************************************

      As you can see, second EP is as simple, but its effectiveness is much poorer.

      I m intends to interpret my experience with Plans to explain, but it is virtually zero. The most obvious difference I found is the BITMAP CONVERSION OF LINES and CONVERSION of bitmap to LINES Kael'thas appear in the first EP.

      I searched ´ve documentation CONVERSION BITMAP and I ve include, more or less. But I Don t know what measures to take to optimizer are Oracle do the same conversion on the second EP.

      I Don t pretend that someone to teach me everything on explains Plans for interpretation, I m aware of the track of this.

      But would like advice on how I can solve this problem. Any suggestion will be welcome.

      Thanks in advance

      Okay - so now that you have shown us the request, can you show us EXACTLY what the real "index_combine" referring to the fact that you used looked like and tell us if the execution plan has changed at all with this suspicion.

      Note: Oracle does not ignore the advice, so if your data structures are the same, and you have the right to hint, Oracle would HAVE to give you the plan you want. The only reason why he could not is if the presence of the indication caused Oracle to examine an alternative implementation plan which was (a) cheaper than suggested and (b) a plan which the index was illegal.

      Hello:

      Looking at the code examples is the following in PartialTriggers pc1::tt1

      TT1 I think refers to a picture of the tree. I don't know what pc1 or several settlers call. Sometimes I saw several colons in a row: tt1.

      Can someone explain this notation (several colons) and also reference in docs where this is discussed?

      Thanks for the help.

      PC1::TT1 refers to a child tt1 within the pc1 (same level as the current element) element.
      This is used to identify/describe a component with a hierarchy of components.

      In your case, it refers to treetable tt1 in a panelcollection pc1, which is the same level as the component you are talking about.

      As a developer, we need NOT worry how it is built (unless you try to do it programmatically).
      Always use the property inspector/Expression Builder to find/select components appropriate.

      Hello

      I use the Oracle 10.2.0.3 version.

      If my database is opened in READ ONLY mode, means that no insert/update/delete operations are allowed here.

      During the generation of the PLAN to EXPLAIN this, the PLAN_TABLE registrations for any SQL. But my database is opened in READ ONLY mode, means that no inserts can happen.

      So, how can I generate EXPLAIN PLAN for my SQL in this State?

      You can always do: 'explain the plan in some_table@remote_database' to avoid inclusion in the local database. Unfortunately 10g added an extraction of the sequence of the code "explain plan", and that's where the call fails if you have tried this distant approach on your version.

      Here's an idea that I have not tested. If you configure a link of data to your database from production to the database read-only, you could then do a "explain plan" in the database of production for the SQL statement by changing each object reference in the SQL statement to "object@readonlydatabase". In most cases this will allow the optimizer to recognize the statement as "entirely to distance" and get the optimizer on the readonly database to create the execution plan - which will be then written into the production database.

    16. Explain the use of "xfa.resolveNode" in layman's terms

      I know this may be a novice question, but can someone please explain when and why xfa.resolveNode is used form design? Is this a form of shorthand to prevent the referencing a parent subform?

      Thanks in advance

      Hello

      There are a few situations when you have to troubleshoot a node.

      1. When you reference an object that has the same name as other objects in the same container. In the hierarchy, you would see TextField1 [0], TextField1 [1], TextField1 [2], etc. The number in brackets indicates the number of instance of each object. If in your script, you want to reference TextField1 [2], then you will have to solve the node. There is a good reason to name objects as you drag them onto the form.
      2. You reference an object that is in a container/page/subform without name. The script should solve the container without a name in order to access the object inside. This would also apply if there are several containers with the same name (see 1 above). Again, another good reason for containers of name as you go.
      3. If you try to refer to a particular instance of an extensible object, then you will have to solve this particular instance. There are several examples of this in the samples of table here: http://assure.ly/lwQHm7.
      4. If your script is in an object in the main Magi and you reference an object on the Master Page (or visa versa), then you will have to solve the node.

      There's the main time that you would solve the node. There may be more, but I don't see any at this point.

      Resolve the nodes is unique to JavaScript scripts and not the FormCalc scripts.

      SOM stands for script object model. XFA forms have a number of models.

      Form the top object is XFA. This means XML Forms Architecture.

      Under the present are a number of objects in a strict hierarchy. These are called DOM or Document object models. There is the:

      • XFA DOM. You would sometimes script against this model, for example, xfa.resolveNode ().
      • Template DOM, which contains information about the form.
      • DOM, which contains information about the data structure and content of the data.
      • Form DOM, which contains the model data DOM and DOM merged. Most of scripting is done against the form DOM.
      • Layout DOM, that contains information specific page for example xfa.layout.pageCount ().

      Expressions of script object model (SOM) allow you to access the properties and methods.

      This draft is a work in progress (I'll finish later it): http://assure.ly/exTXaZ. The intention is to show how to create SOM expressions in different situations. Right now, it doesn't have any related text in it. Take a look at page 4 and more on expression of SOM.

      I hope this helps,

      Niall
