White space between objects that are aligned

Hello

I creates geometric images in Illustrator to an animation in After Effects. I have four triangles which are all lined up to make a square. However, there are small spaces between each of the triangles, so seen at full size, there is a white X through the center of the square.

How can I line up the triangles exactly so there is no white space between the two?

Thank you

quinnigoth,

Assuming that the angles are right (in the direction of releavnt here), to ensure that they actually meet you can use Slam, possibly guided by the guides.

The X may be an artifact of the screen. You can zoom and see if the apparent gap increases or remains constant, and you can register under / Print in PDF format and have a closer look there, or print to a PostScript printer.

Yet another way to determine whether there are gaps could be to select everything and Pathfinder > unit. If you get a simple square, do not space.

  • Option to distribute white space between objects?

    I would try the functions alignment and distribution for the first time, the thought: "Yay!" All this time I'll save not manually objects moving. " There seems to be all the functions except the one I want to align/distribution possible.

    I have five images, all of the same height, but widths and I want to distribute white space evenly between them, i.e. If the gap is the same between each of them. When I have distributre manually I fit each image by a factor of:

    k = (D - G (N-1)) / W

    where

    D = total width available

    G = Gap

    N = number of images

    W = total initial width of the images.

    Then I align manually. Can CS6 this distribution?

    How can I add white space between areas that contain text fields?

    I use Adobe Acrobat Pro DC 2015.

    I'm trying to change an existing PDF. I need to add white space between areas that contain text fields to allow these areas to be developed and do not overlap the text and the text below fields.

    For example:

    1. 1.

    Progress/strategies:

    1. 2.

    Progress/strategies:

    1. 3.

    Progress/strategies:

    1. 4.

    Progress/strategies:

    The space between each 'progress/strategies' increasing needs. A text field is under each of them. If it's a Word doc, I could just press on enter. What is the best way to do this with Adobe Acrobat Pro DC?

    There is no easy way to do it. You need to move the text fields more apart and if there are static elements, then you will need to use the tool edit text & Images to move them, separately.

  • white space between the tables

    Hello

    I do an annual report and there is a lot of financial tables. I have 60 paintings and I need to align the tables vertically so that the white space between each table is exactly the same. So far I did it manually. I'm sure there is a better way to do it but I just have not found the way yet. My first thought was to do a 'parent' table with X rows and one column. So I put my child tables in the parent table and use a "row of the spacer" exactly the mm X I tried this but it really complicates things

    Then I tried 'space after' in the properties of the table, but I can't understand what this attribute.

    In other words, I would like that the vertical space between table 1 and table 2 is always exactly 5 mm of the force. How is that possible?

    I would like some inputs/best practices.

    / Best regards

    Thomas Lund

    Your table is placed in a paragraph.  Create a paragraph style that contains that space after that you want between the tables, and then apply that style to all paragraphs that contain tables.  That should give you exactly the spacing between your tables in the flow of the text.

    This will not work unless you are running off the paintings together in a story (which I recommend).

  • White space between images

    I have 5 flight path images lined up next to each other in a table cell. I reduced their borders to 0, the filling of cells and spacing 0 also. I even tried to reduce the images of padding and margin to 0. • How can I preview of objects that are outside of the artboard.

    Hello

    When I placed an illustrator file in Indesign, I would choose cmd + D > select "Show Import Options" and we have a preview of the image. On some occasions, the preview will include all foreign objects that are outside the artboard and other times, it only displays the image within the artboard or the bounding box. (See attached examples)

    Anyone know the reason behind this?

    Thank you

    Sutagami

    The only way I can reproduce what you feel is if I save to an .eps and am not aware of the artboard check box on the save dialogue. If you deselect this checkbox you will get all the content in the file, if you select this check box, you will only get the bounding box designated on the artboard. But you never said what you are recording format or what version of Illustrator that you use. I have to assume you are in CS4.

  • Elimination of the white spaces between areas of report

    Hello

    I'm struggling with the design of my application...

    On my page (topic 12) I have 3 regions report side by side, in column 1, 2 and 3.
    Between these regions report, Apex puts a lot of white space that I want to eliminate, but I can't.
    I tried with models from different regions (reports, width 100% region region) and I tried with firebug to see what HTML object to manipulate.

    In the HTML page header, I put:

    < STYLE TYPE = "text/css" >
    <!--
    TD.t12ContentBody {width:auto ;}
    ->
    < / STYLE >

    So far, nothing seems to work. Does anyone have an idea?
    Application design gurus welcome...

    For a better understanding, I put my application on apex.oracle.com:
    Workspace: app
    Login: [email protected]
    PW: riponi

    Thank you for any input,

    Roger

    Hi Roger,

    I've adjusted the template of your PAGE - the region was in a cell that had a width specified 100%. It was originally the three reports to be distributed across the screen. Obviously, as this is only for testing purposes, this setting should be ok - but in real life, you create a copy of the page template, set it and use if necessary.

  • How to remove the hairline of white space between two forms in color

    I'm setting up a complex visual image in Illustrator. I used the processing step and repeat certain geometric shapes, and then color them in with the paint bucket using a swatch file direct. Then I deleted the original geometric shape contours, leaving just the plug-in software component color fill. Everything is great, except in two or three apparently random locations there is a hairline white between two forms of color component software plug-in. I don't want to change the dimensions of the forms to try to hide the white space, because who is going to introduce another problem. Any suggestions?

    You can butt them using the spacing to distribute at the bottom of the palette alignment function.

    Select your items, and then click one of them to designate it as the 'key' object (this is one that will stay in place while others move in relationship with him according to your actions).

    If the Align Panel is not slammed shut, choose window > align.

    If the spacing section distribute is not visible at the bottom of the alignment palette, choose Show Options in the Panel menu.

    The spacing value to distribute the value 0. Set align it: the Key object alignment option

    Click on the button appropriate to spread (horizontal or vertical).

  • Combine two objects that are close?

    During the livetrace matrix forms often get broken during their visit to vector, for example:

    http://img594.imageshack.us/img594/9189/closej.png

    I can't find an option to merge narrow shapes to unite and get rid of the whitespace. The only options I found that apply are if shapes overlap. Since these objects so much that I'd really like the ability to select several objects and unify their fractures livetrace railways, get rid of the white space. is this possible?

    These lines are often a few aberrations of the illustrator of smoothing onscreen, even when the adjoining paths, in fact, coincide.

    During the livetrace matrix forms often get broken during their time at vector

    There is no form of raster (in the plural). There is a raster image (its shape is rectangular). The image raster does not get broken. The raster image is not "transition to the vector."

    The autotrace program just trying to draw objects entirely new and distinct - traced - forms whose try correspond to groups of same color pixels in a raster image. The defintion of 'same' depends on the user specifies parameters of sensitivity.

    I'm not picking apart you with semantics simple here. Unrealistic expectations about matrix are epidemic these days, mainly because of claims of selling overvalued.

    I can't find an option to merge narrow shapes to unite and get rid of the whitespace.

    Fusion (Boolean union) is not logical for the railways without intersection. As long as the paths are not in reality, the distance between them has nothing to do with it. Imagine a circle of vector of one side of the page and a square of the vector on the other. What it would mean to "merge" the two forms into one?

    Without additional specific criteria, these two forms could be "merged" in your sense, in an infinite number of ways. If the accuracy of the autotrace (assigned by your settings and the real colors of the image) translates autotraced paths that don't, in fact, intersect, the autotrace will not be automatically some specific criteria to "merge" the railways without intersection.

    The only options I found that apply are if shapes overlap.

    Who has a sense, because that would be the areas of intersection itself that define the criteria by which the railways concerned are met.

    So if your autotrace is, indeed, yielding undesirable completely without intersection of the paths that you think should be a path, you must decrease the sensitivity of detection of color matrix settings so that the colors of the almost-but-not-quite-the-same pixels are interpreted as a region of contiguous color. But be aware that a change in parameters will affect matrix for the entire image, not just for this particluar region. So there may be other compromises in other areas of the image.

    Such is the nature of the matrix. It is not a clear and precise 'conversion' of a 'format' (raster) in another (vector) 'format'.

    Think of a fence of stone compared to a close of brick of the same size. Closing of natural stone is composed of stones of irregular shape, interconnected to minimize differences. The fence in brick made of rectangular bricks, same size, is perfectly attached.

    Matrix is an attempt to write a software algorithm that takes a particular brick fence (collection of same color pixel raster format) and to build an entirely new and separate stone Hedgerow (collection of traces in the form of various ways) of the same size. She does without any human intelligence or judgment artistic whatsoever as to what 'must' or 'no' be considered to be a "stone". How hard he tries to "custom chisel" each of these stones as more natual closely locking and minimize the gaps depends directly on the autotrace parameters. It's always a compromise compared to what would be done if the stones were individually carved by hand, eye and human judgment.

  • White spaces between and vertical shifting of images (and text) as a preview of the browser

    I built my site in Muse, but when I preview the, there are white spaces of different sizes that appear between images and text. In addition, an entire section of the Web site has moved down through an entire page. Here are a few screenshots as I can manage them. Unfortunately it is not yet hosted, so I can't post a link.

    Just a note: I'm build this page of my site as a portfolio to side scrolling. At the beginning of each "page", I added an anchor point, and I've added a 'back to the start arrow' so that the elements of different menu on the far left of the page (at the beginning) a link to their respective 'page' along the portfolio of horizontal scrolling. Similarly, the "back to the start arrow" menu link.  I don't know if this is part of the question, but it seems that it shouldn't be, because I got that simply making the page extremely broad and not very large.

    Here are a few screenshots.

    Thank you!

    Well well, the standard answer (and I should perhaps store them somewhere as a copy & paste NOTE): you must use groups and other methods of structuring as widgets. Your items may not stick together because they have no container parent to hold them together as in reverse, they can overlap with because they have no logic telling them everything that is left, right, above and below. Muse is not a page layout program and you not post a PDF file where everything is nailed in place. dumping everything on the page without which concerns the way in which it will interact in your browser never gives the result you expect.

  • How to I get rid of the low gap between objects that overlap

    Hello

    I can't get rid of a small gap/line between 2 objects, on that I've used the form generator tool.

    I do the following:

    1. I have 2 objects overlapping

    2. I remove the red section, so I find myself with a pink circle and a red object inside, using the tool shape

    3 if I place an object below the 2 objects, in the same color as the Red object, I get a small line between the 2 red colors. It almost seems like the pink circle and the small red object is not aligned, but they are.

    Skærmbillede 2014-10-28 kl. 13.46.32.png

    I tried to disable Anti aliasing and line up on the grid of pixels, but nothing seems to work.

    There is no way to have 2 objects on top of the other, without going through the bottom, we do a small line/gap?

    Hope you can help me.

    Thanks in advance!

    Actually nothing to do with the form generator tool. The same thing will happen if you built this same object using pathfinder functions.

    It's a problem of screen refresh. It happens because the circle in the background is still there and gets returned due to anti-aliasing.
