Hi John,.
You have already reinstalled Windows with Toshiba Recovery disk (factory settings)?
If Yes, it could be a hardware problem, otherwise, it looks like a software problem or driver.

Hello
I bought my work laptop from my employer. During the startup of my employer's legal name is still displayed on the splash screen ' "(the screen with the HP logo).
-J' already started back and ran the EREPLOGO. EXE utility to remove the logo (ereplogo.exe/e). The utility said that the logo has been removed;
-in the BIOS 'view custom logo' is unchecked, so it will not use an image of the partition tools hp;
However, during the startup the company name is still displayed on the top of the screen... :-(
(1) how can I change this text to start or remove it completely?
(2) what can I do to display the specifications of hardware during startup instead of this "splash screen"?
Thanks in advance,
SJW
PS I have the latest BIOS (F.60 Rev.A, November 30, 2015)
Hello
I managed to change the line of text with the BiosConfigUtility64.exe.
With "BiosConfigUtility64 getconfig:config.txt", you can write all the values in the bios and a text file with "BiosConfigUtility64 setconfig.config.txt", you can set all the values after you change the values you want to change. In my case, that I had to change the value of "property tag", which is the value that appears in the home screen during the boot process.
Later, I discovered the tag 'property' can also be changed under the Security tab of the configuration of the BIOS (F10) normal... until I knew what the property tag, I associate the line of text to security so I did find the text before :-) field
Best regards

After the system is booted, the logon process takes 20-30 minutes.
Microsoft Windows Vista Business SP2 [Version 6.0.6002] / ThinkPad x 301 2776 - A23
The problem was discovered in November-December 2013.
After the system is booted, the logon process takes 20-30 minutes (the mouse cursor on the black screen).
I faced the same behavior in "windows boot" mode when Kaspersky Anti-virus is also uninstalled.
After 30 minutes, as soon as it was possible to run msconfig, I checked and made sure only microsoft services are running.Dear Carlos, thank you very much for the help! The problem was solved by executing the steps suggested in this discussion. Please close this message.

Eliminate the F1 of the Win 7 Pro boot sequence
I am running Win 7 Pro on a Dell Optiplex 755. In the course of booting did not require that I press the F1 key. Due to an accident, I did a complete recovery system (system returns to the way it came from the factory) now every time I have start or do a reboot I have to press the F1 key. It is a problem when I install something that requires a reboot. How can I fix?
I resolved to myself. I found that my bios has been looking for a floppy disk at startup drive, and there is no floppy. I've eliminated who, and now everything is fine.

Performance - remove igdkmd64.sys monitor - its by slowing down the boot process
Hello
I am running windows 7 Home premium SP1 64-bit and the monitor above suggests that I try to delete the driver above because it slows down the startup / boot process
Can someone please suggest easy steps to remove the same and if there are implications for the removal of the driver
Hello
What is there to process you followed to remove it... It's actually not a bad file... Its graphic driver Intel. Igdkmd64 sys is the Intel Graphics Kernel Mode Driver for Microsoft Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista, and Windows XP 64 - bit operating systems.
the igdkmd64.sys file could be the driver Intel Graphics. Have you tried to download the drivers directly from the Intel web site? If this is not the case, try using this link:

Win 7 Boot shows the Win XP Recovery console
Installed Win 7 Pro from MS Store a session on a Win XP computer. The installation went well, but when it starts it shows the next time you start the menu - Window 7 and the Recovery Console options. In my opinion, the recovery console is XP and cannot be deleted in the start-up boot menu. Any thoughts on how to remove and start automatically on Win 7? Thank you
Removal of D:\MiniNT in the window of the System Configuration and you'll be fine. Windows 7 has been installed in C:\Windows as a 'clean install', which is normal when upgrading to Windows XP.

I have a MXP1700 and trying to force the boot process.
Using a standard PC with a port of comm DP9 it works when I select CTRL Break of my keyboard.
I have a LAPTOP with no pause button and can't get the system to stop the boot process using ALT B or ALT + B?
The cable uses a USB to DB9 adapter as the laptop isn't a comm port.
Other commands, I try to break the boot process?
Note the MXP1700 is not initialized on one side.
When I check the selectsw #1 or #2 it displays "invalid" on each... as it does not recognize the firmware on each partition.
I have never loaded the SW using Xmodem... is there a procedure that I can get to do this process?
Thank you.
Regarding the sending of the newline character, the sequence of keys (or in some cases, a menu item) will depend on which terminal emulator software you use (TeraTerm, HyperTerminal, PuTTY, etc.). You will need to check in the software that you use on the way to send the newline character.,.
For both your images of software showing as zero, looks like your flash is corrupted. You could try a "eee" reset which can help to recover it, but have a similar issue previously, it is likely that you will need a hardware replacement.

I wonder why the dynamic value query is executed before the boot process? Logically, it makes sense to run after them.
For example, I test a stored procedure that is supposed to delete a record, and I'd like to create this test report should be deleted as part of the startup process before execution of the stored procedure call to delete this test record. Apparently the dynamic query of value not returns not the test report in as long as the query parameter to call the stored procedure under test, which makes me think that is executed before the startup process of design...
Please advise...
Thank you

Satellite L300D-13s will slow down the boot process
Whenever I start the Satellite L300D-13 s computer laptop (using Vista Home Premium with factory settings) I am presented with a Please wait"" message. The startup process can take up to a minute! Is it because of McAfee installing and executing a Bios check, because this does not happen on my desktop PC (Vista Home Premium) except if an update has been installed?
Apologies for the fundamental question, but this is getting frustrating that this happens every time you start and I don't know why. Please help if you can?
Thanks in advance...
Hello
There are different reasons why your Vista runs slowly.
The main reason is the enormous amount of processes that are ruining to the background of the OS.You should know that the laptop uses different features that are controlled by drivers and tools.
If you want you could disable some processes using the MSCONFIG. Check the Startup tab.
Verify that the processes are not really important to you and turn it off.
Welcome them

U940-11N SATELLITE - cannot get into the BIOS or Boot Menu
Hello
I am currently in the processing you want to perform an update of the operating system on my laptop. When I bought the laptop in a well known department store, it came loaded with Windows 7, despite the operating system preloaded in Windows 8 when buying.
I already disabled fast closing down, such as recommended elsewhere on the forum. However, after the closure of many downs and startups, based on all kinds of combination of keys to try to get the menu of boot or bios, I can't do it. It starts directly to Windows.
I tried to boot from an aswell as a bootable USB external DVD drive.
I tried F2, F12, F10, ESC and DEL at the start, but nothing. With pressure repeated, with continuous waiting, with the FN button, just in case... just nothing!
Could someone provide an overview of this please?
Kind regards
JamieThanks for the feedback jamieb!

Pavilion 500 - 206t: Boot Manager does not appear in the sources of boot UEFI
I had a working system, until I installed Fedora on it...
I have since removed Fedora, but cannot get the windows partition to start for the life of me.
In the bios, I don't see "Microsoft boot manager" in the list of Sources of boot UEFI in the boot order.
I have the original, untouched windows 7 x 64 partition, the HP recovery partition and 10 windows partition, I recently did a clean install, but still no start.
I've deleted and recreated a 100 MB EFI partiton and a partion of 128 MB msr by using diskpart.
formatted fat32 EFI, left the msr as-is.
C:\Windows\Boot\EFI\ files on the EFI partition in \EFI\Windows\Boot
Creates the via bcdedit boot manager entries.
I tried:
- Bootrec /fixboot
- Bootrec /fixmbr
- Bootrec /rebuildbcd
I also used boot bcd with uefi function to copy the files on
I used an installation disc USB win10 to the foregoing as a win7 disc does not have the USB drivers for the keyboard and the mouse.
Am I missing something for the HP Pavilion?
Thanks in advance
Repair of windows did nothing.
I created a ultimatebootcd USB drive (http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/) and used parted Magic/clonezilla in order to image the old windows and partitions of hp recovery (not the entire disk) to a USB external HDD (plugged into USB 2.0 port)
Then I deleted all partitions with parted magc.
Install win 7 on the system with no partitions, it's easier to reduce windows on partition of 100 MB, but you can adjust it later, also don't you bother with the product key, ignore her.
Restart the ultimate boot CD, choose parted Magic then Partition editor and create an important partition for windows = or superior to what it was when he was photographed. If your new installation of win 7 took the entire disk, simply to reduce the size of the partition and create the large partition to restore to, don't forget the restoration of 15 GB HP as well. If you don't see all the partitions or get an error in the score editor, see this link: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1619381
don't worry about formatting new partitions.
To restore, you will need to rename the image files on the external hard disk created in the second paragraph above. The partition names will be changed, see this link: http://drbl.org/faq/fine-print.php?path=./2_System/102_restore_image_to_different_partition.faq#102_restore_image_to_different_partition.faq
After the restoration, start windows installation disk and repair, it will be your old windows partition, restored. Save and reboot the old partition. If everything is successful, you can delete the newly installed partition win 7 and use msconfig in windows to delete startup entries. You can use parted magic to cultivate the restored partition, if you wish.
Then, install windows 10 to get a true EFI boot.

Even if you have installed a third-party software ('Parallels' and a 'Promise' device driver) who is likely to cause a kernel panic, the kind of panic you are most likely caused by a hardware failure. I suggest that you take the machine to an Apple Retail Store or other provider of services allowed for a stable service and guaranteed, if necessary.

Print the Windows Task Manager process list
Is it possible to print a list of 'Processes' that appear in the Windows Task Manager? I would like to have a paper copy of the processes running on my machine, but I have not determined how to print list. (I need to compare the processes running on my machine with the processes running on the machine to another, separate). Help, please! Thank you
In the Task Manager, go to Options and uncheck Always on Top. Then
optimize the process. When finished, select Alt/Impr. Then start/run or use the Win key
and the letter R.Either passing said, type mspaint and then press ENTER. Once done go to Edition and paste,
then save the file.Or
You can also use the command tasklist command line. For example, in
Start > run, type
/FO CSV TaskList > [click OK] C:\tasklist.csvThis will produced a spreadsheet Excel Task Manager information
