BREAK THE BOOT PROCESS

I have a MXP1700 and trying to force the boot process.

Using a standard PC with a port of comm DP9 it works when I select CTRL Break of my keyboard.

I have a LAPTOP with no pause button and can't get the system to stop the boot process using ALT B or ALT + B?

The cable uses a USB to DB9 adapter as the laptop isn't a comm port.

Other commands, I try to break the boot process?

Note the MXP1700 is not initialized on one side.

When I check the selectsw #1 or #2 it displays "invalid" on each... as it does not recognize the firmware on each partition.

I have never loaded the SW using Xmodem... is there a procedure that I can get to do this process?

Thank you.

Regarding the sending of the newline character, the sequence of keys (or in some cases, a menu item) will depend on which terminal emulator software you use (TeraTerm, HyperTerminal, PuTTY, etc.).  You will need to check in the software that you use on the way to send the newline character.,.

For both your images of software showing as zero, looks like your flash is corrupted.  You could try a "eee" reset which can help to recover it, but have a similar issue previously, it is likely that you will need a hardware replacement.

    PS I have the latest BIOS (F.60 Rev.A, November 30, 2015)

    Hello

I managed to change the line of text with the BiosConfigUtility64.exe.

With "BiosConfigUtility64 getconfig:config.txt", you can write all the values in the bios and a text file with "BiosConfigUtility64 setconfig.config.txt", you can set all the values after you change the values you want to change. In my case, that I had to change the value of "property tag", which is the value that appears in the home screen during the boot process.

Later, I discovered the tag 'property' can also be changed under the Security tab of the configuration of the BIOS (F10) normal... until I knew what the property tag, I associate the line of text to security so I did find the text before :-) field

  • Unit test: is there a way to make the dynamic query of the value of running after the boot process?

I wonder why the dynamic value query is executed before the boot process? Logically, it makes sense to run after them.

For example, I test a stored procedure that is supposed to delete a record, and I'd like to create this test report should be deleted as part of the startup process before execution of the stored procedure call to delete this test record. Apparently the dynamic query of value not returns not the test report in as long as the query parameter to call the stored procedure under test, which makes me think that is executed before the startup process of design...

    Please advise...

    Hi Reyes,

Restart your computer and start pressing on the keys on your keyboard. On a computer that is configured to start to multiple operating systems, you can press on the -key when the Boot Menu appears. On the Advanced Boot Options menu, select Disable the Driver Signature Enforcement press .

This will disable the drivers at startup.

    Hello

I am running windows 7 Home premium SP1 64-bit and the monitor above suggests that I try to delete the driver above because it slows down the startup / boot process

Can someone please suggest easy steps to remove the same and if there are implications for the removal of the driver

    Hello

What is there to process you followed to remove it... It's actually not a bad file... Its graphic driver Intel. Igdkmd64 sys is the Intel Graphics Kernel Mode Driver for Microsoft Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista, and Windows XP 64 - bit operating systems.

the igdkmd64.sys file could be the driver Intel Graphics. Have you tried to download the drivers directly from the Intel web site? If this is not the case, try using this link:

  • Satellite P70-A-11 q - Windows 8.1 stops during the boot process

    Hello.
I have a q P70-A-11. almost from the first day I got the camera that I have problems with starting.
The OS is installed on a 250 GB SSD.

Treat it as I turn on the laptop and its still the boot stops down unexpectedly without an error message.
This happens almost every time 2nd, I try to start the laptop.

I know this isn't a lot of information but I don't have any newspapers, or something that I can help you.
    Concerning

You are right. There isn't a lot of information on this virtual path, it is not easy to say what the problem is.
What is your laptop preinstalled with original OS that you got with it? I presume that the only change is upgrade SSD, right?
So if I understand you well you traded original HDD with new SSDS and original recovery image is installed.
This problem started immediately after the upgrade to SSD?
When you put the old HDD inside the same thing from happening again?

  • Satellite L300D-13s will slow down the boot process

Whenever I start the Satellite L300D-13 s computer laptop (using Vista Home Premium with factory settings) I am presented with a Please wait"" message. The startup process can take up to a minute! Is it because of McAfee installing and executing a Bios check, because this does not happen on my desktop PC (Vista Home Premium) except if an update has been installed?

Apologies for the fundamental question, but this is getting frustrating that this happens every time you start and I don't know why. Please help if you can?

    Thanks in advance...

    Hello

There are different reasons why your Vista runs slowly.
The main reason is the enormous amount of processes that are ruining to the background of the OS.

You should know that the laptop uses different features that are controlled by drivers and tools.

If you want you could disable some processes using the MSCONFIG. Check the Startup tab.

Verify that the processes are not really important to you and turn it off.

    Welcome them

Is it possible to disable the onboard in the loading process? Even though I'm sure it must be possible to have two cards installed?

A shame that there is no cat.

No, as much as I know you can disable only the LAN card and not the wireless network card.
The wireless network card may be disabled in Device Manager.

But have you tried to change BIOS options for the PCMCIA card.
I put t know what phone you have but the Toshiba BIOS options of configuration on the second page.
If the configuration of the device is set on all devices, you will be able to change the PC Card controller mode to: Auto selected, compatible CCIP or CardBus/16-bit

  • NetInstall/Netrestore will not complete the boot process.

    Hello world

I searched through the forums (and days of Google searches) try various process of troubleshooting with no progress. I hope someone can shed some light on what I'm doing wrong.

    So I'm under OS X Server 5.1.7 (Build 15S 7055) on a iMac (21.5 inch, end 2013) OS X 10.11.6 (Build 15 G 31).

Try to get a server NetInstall if I can image a full Lab of iMacs (same model as the server)

Server runs on a closed network offering DHCP clients through a Nortel switch. No firewall, no ports blocked (no connection with the outside world). File sharing and NetInstall are on.

Clients receive IP addresses and can see each other (sharing, ping, see Manager boot images provided by the file server)

When you launch Netboot (I use the method 'hold the Option key', but I tested with "n" just with the same result) the client displays all hosted images. For my test, I use a NetInstall image built from the 'install El Capitan' downloaded application from the App Store using system image utility.

When you attempt to start the client image will display the progress under the apple logo bar and it will take about 45 minutes to 1.5 hours to fill full and won't progress of there. Sometimes the progress bar only about 3/4 of the way to make and freeze there for hours.

Here are the journal entries of NetInstall for my last test:

    I know what I don't see is a BSDP DISCOVER/OFFER but I don't know why.

Verbose mode on the Client does not give me something that I can understand what it is to do (or not do).

I literally read the chapter NetInstall and followed the examples set up in OS X Server 5.0 Essentials book and I still don't see why its not working.

If anyone can enlighten us or if there is more information/papers/tips I can give you please let me know. (I hope, that I forgot to mention something that I didn't want to as it is lengthy and unreadable)

    Thanks in advance.

Oh, I should mention that I did whitelist the server on the client side.

I also tested the images via NFS.

(I wanted to change this in the original post and now I can't figure out how to delete a response...)

  • HP Pavilion 23: computer hangs during the boot process

Computer updates been made 2 days ago and has frozen black screen. Now does not start at the top. Starts the process and then freezes. He did start once yesterday and was going well for a few hours, then got a message saying computer had a problem.

    Error message:

    SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED (atikmdag.sys)

Now back to not start upward again, hangs with the HP logo on the screen.

    Hi there @ldgie25.

That the Forums are with you!  I understand that, after a few updates, your computer does not start correctly and freezes on the HP logo.   I'm happy to help you with this.

Since it was started once, but then had a blue error screen, I suggest using the computers HP - use Microsoft System Restore (Windows, 10, 8).   Follow the instructions in the section «restore your computer when Windows is unable to boot normally»  See if it will start normally after the restoration. If yes then you probably want to prevent the offending update to install again.

Please see the following for how to do this:

How to temporarily prevent an update for driver reinstallation of Windows 10 - support.microsoft.com

How to uninstall and updates to block and drivers on Windows 10 - howtogeek.com

Please let me know if it works for you and if it does not solve your problem, please mark this message as a solution. Bravo would be appreciated as well.

  • the boot process is damaged

Starting process on my Gateway Media Center desktop computer slowed to a crawl. Lately, its been put in front of the gateway logo, the selection of the operating system and the Windows screen with the blue scrolling dashes from left to right. Then the screen goes black and stays that way for 3 or 4 minutes.

Sometimes, it begins to start right here and the Welcome screen appears. Other times, it does nothing and I have to turn off and save. Once it starts, it works normally. I ran the restore of the system twice but no help.

The master boot record files could be corrupted? I have run chkdsk /f several times. No help. Is there a utility that can look at it and say what's the problem? Appreciate your help.

    tboneman2

It turns out that nothing of the suggested solutions were required. Before you run the sfc/scannow, I decided to run CCleaner. Wow! There is so much junk in the registry I couldn't believe it. Most of it was Apple Mobile files. I refused to allow Apple to install this program on my PC, then how is get all these files?

    Now, the computer starts normally.

    Thanks for your help.
