Why anyone cannot repair vista print spooler errors?

many 'experts' both 'fixes' so much useless information... I can't be alone in here... I tried every recommended around work
of all the sites I find... and always impossible to add a printer on a vista 64 pc!

Hello

1. What is the exact error that you are experiencing when you try to install the printer?

2. What is the model of the printer, and who is the manufacturer?

3. What are the steps that you have tried to solve this problem?

4 is this a wired or a wireless printer?

5. is it a standalone printer or a network printer?

6. What is the exact error that you are experiencing?

I would like you to explain to me so that we can help you in a better way.

Method 1:

I suggest you follow the steps mentioned below.

a. click Start> select Control Panel> in programs and features> select turn Windows features On or Off.

b. click + sign of Printing Services.

c. Select LPD and LPR. You must remove the Internet printing Client. Restart your PC to ensure there is no error in the spooler service.

d. try to reinstall your printer software/driver.

Method 2:

I suggest to stop the spooler service, then restart and see if the problem is resolved. Follow the steps mentioned in the article below.

  • Vista print spooler stops

The print in Vista spooler stops when I try to print. He said the strategy adopted by the DEP. All printers disappear. I have to manually restart the spooler service (it is set for the recovery of the car) and it can print for a bit, but the spooler stops again.

    Hello

Since it is a DEP issue with a printer that could be a problem of IE (which concern Explorer and other functions of the system),
a spooler problem, or both. Frankly I don't know that I have 1 but I'd probably use these
    Methods.

EricLaw IEInternals - a peek at Internet Explorer from inside. -Understanding DEP/NX
    http://blogs.msdn.com/ieinternals/archive/2009/10/10/understanding-data-execution-prevention-crashes-in-IE8.aspx

The problem might actually be an add-on or another program to the origin of the problem and you should check that
    1st.

What antivirus/antispyware/security products do you have on the machine? Be one you have NEVER on it
machines, including those that you have uninstalled (they leave leftovers behind which can cause strange problems).

Start - all programs - Accessores - system tools - IE with no Addons - does this work better?

IE - Tools - Internet Options - Advanced - tab click on restore, and then click Reset - apply / OK

IE - Tools - Internet Options - Security - reset all Zones by default level - apply / OK

    not better?

Close IE and try again IE or IE with no Addons

IE - tools - manage Addons (for sure disable SSV2 if it is there, it is no longer necessary but Java always install
"(and it causes problems - you never update Java to go back in and turn it off again)." Search for other possible problems.

Windows Defender - tools - software explore - look for problems with programs that do not look right. Permit
are usually OK and "unauthorized" are not always bad. If in doubt about a program to ask about it here.

Could be that a BHO - BHOremover - free - standalone program, needs no installation, download and run - not all
are bad, but some can cause your question. (Toolbars are BHO)

    Startup programs
    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/79612-startup-programs-enable-disable.html

Also get Malwarebytes - free - use as scanner only. If you ever suspect malware, and it would be
unusual with Prevx market except for an occasional cookie of low level (not a big deal), update it, then
    run as a scanner.

    http://www.Malwarebytes.org/

    I would add prevx so.

Prevx - Home - small, fast, exceptional CLOUD free protection, working with other security programs. It comes

the entire facility was updated too.

I rebooted several times, all cleaned and everything, I'm stumped.  Any who have suggestions or you know why nothing works?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you!

    Holly

Actually, no.  What I was referring to came from http://members.shaw.ca/bsanders/CleanPrinterDrivers.htm .

Usually, this will do a good job of cleaning of the drivers with Windows 2000 and later versions (not the case with Windows NT 4).

If the print spooler service is not running, or you want to make sure that there are no remains of printer driver, follow the instructions below, or use the cleanspl.exe of Windows 2000, XP, or 2003 Resource Kit (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=9d467a69-57ff-4ae7-96ee-b18c4790cffd&DisplayLang=en).  cleanspl.exe Windows 2003 Resource Kit tools works on Windows XP.

    Some information about cleanspl.exe:

    • cleanspl.exe did a very thorough job of cleaning the print spooler stuff, but it does not remove the dependence of the spooler service on the Lexmark service (see Special on Lexmark printer drivers information).

    • You can use it to clean the stuff of spooler on another computer (i.e. remote).

    • When you run it, it asks you if you want to remove things that are actually delivered (and installed by default) with Windows.  In most cases, you need No corresponding guests (you won't remove the Port TCP/IP Standard or BJ language monitor).

  • Cannot set default printer. Error code 0 x 0000709

Printer Deskjet HP3510 instaled on Hp laptop running windows 7. Cannot set default printer. Error code 0 x 0000709. Removing software and old computer

    tgwright,

Thanks for the additional info. With the doctor print and scan does not locate a corrupted software/driver problems its time to turn to the operating system itself. Others who have had similar problems with the same error indicate a corrupted registry key, the origin of the problem:
    http://goo.GL/t94JG

    http://goo.GL/uejgi

Beware these solutions indicate the change of information in registry (very dangerous if you don't know what you're doing). If you are not familiar with the registry or have never been here before that I would suggest seeking additional support in some way (local / Microsoft IT / PC repair service, etc.).

    Good luck!

  • 0x800706b9 print spooler error

    I have a 8.1 Microsoft Windows and a HP Desktop 2512.

My computer no longer recognises my printer. I keep receiveing an error of 0x800706b9 print spooler

I tried the net start spooler command, but that has failed. What to do next? Help, please!

    Hey @crod57,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that you are no longer able to print from your computer Windows 8.1 for the all-in-one printer HP Deskjet 2512 as your computer reports a 'print spooler error: 0x800706b9'. I would like to help you today with the resolution of this error of print spooler. Now, just so you know, the print spooler is a feature of your operating system. It is integrated with your Windows computer. Essentially, it's the printing system built into your computer. Printers rely on the print spooler works to print. The spooler is not specific to HP. So, I will be able to offer you a few steps of standard troubleshooting on the computer. However, if the problem persists you may need to talk with Microsoft Product Support or your computer manufacturer to solve this problem of operating system. That being said, can I please have you follow the steps below to resolve this issue.

    Step 1: Check print spooler:

    1. Open your screen to Start by clicking the Windows button on the lower left side of your computer screen or by selecting the Windows key bottom left of your keyboard, to the right of the Ctrl key
    2. In the start screen, type run
    3. Click Run to launch the run dialogue box
    4. In the run box, type services.msc and click OK
    5. When the Services window opens scroll down until you see the print spooler
    6. Click Print Spooler once just to highlight
    7. If you Start in the upper left corner that indicates that your print spooler is actually stopped (not good). But we will leave that for now.
    8. If you stop or restart in the upper left corner, this indicates that your print spooler is actually started. Please click on stop to stop the service momentarily.
    9. Reduce this window which will allow us to come back here

Step 2: Check the spooler folder:

    1. Reopen your splash screen
    2. Computertype. Click on the computer (or on This PC) when it fills so
    3. In the computer window, select your Drive C
    4. Click on Windows
    5. Click on System32
    6. Click on the reel
    7. Click PRINTERS. You can get permissions to a warning, just continue beyond that.
    8. PRINTERS of the folder must be empty. If there is no file here, they are corrupt print jobs. Right click on anything in that folder and 'delete' files.
    9. Close the PRINTERS folder

Step 3: Start Spooler and audit dependencies:

1 open the Services window we previously minimized

    2. click on print spooler to highlight

    3. click on Start in the upper left corner

    4. If you get an error message please take note of this

    5. If the print spooler starts successfully you will see "stop and restart" as your options at the top left

    6. then, double left click on print spooler. A print spooler properties window is now open. Click the connection tab at the top. Can you please make sure that it is set to Local System account and make sure that the check box is selected to "Allow the Service to interact with desktop".

    7. then click on the tab "dependencies". Please check which dependencies are listed. I need to know this if the problem persists when you have completed the steps I provide in this post.

    8. click on apply and OK for any changes that you have made the log tab. Close the Services window.

Once the Print Spooler Service has started successfully, you should be able to access your printer HP Deskjet under devices and printers on your computer folder Windows 8.1. Also, you should be able to print. Can I please have you test the impression at this stage to confirm that the print spooler error has been resolved.

Please reply to this message with the result of your troubleshooting. I can't wait to hear strings attached good luck!

  • Devices and printers suspendusent/Print Spooler error causing printing issues

Hello fellow forum participants and Rangers.

As of recent, I had questions on our servers with regard to printing problems.  The problem would be to randomly appear and disappear without notice.  I tried to diagnose the problem by activating the event handler, but the event handler was not able to provide any specific error in addition "a timeout (30000 milliseconds) was reached while waiting for a response from the spooler service transaction.  Whenever I try to open "devices and printers", the window would without constantly/eventually without loading anything.  I would also add that the problem starts when the user connecting.

    I tried the things:

    (1) sometimes restarting the PC would magically make it work.

    (2) restart Printerspooler fix the problem

    (3) automatic setting rather than manual Bluetooth function has failed.  (has worked for most of the people similar/same problem).

    (4) we tried to reload the drivers.  Temporary solution, but the printing problem happen again.

Any help would be highly appreciated and sorry for the wall of text.  This question led me into the wall!  Thanks in advance.

    Hello Natoin1211,

Do you mean that you have restored the system to the factory default and you still get the error messages and bluescreens?

If this is the case, we are probably seeing some problems with the hardware or the recovery process.

I would recommend hardware diagnostics currently running on this computer, such as provided by the hardware manufacturer.

    Let us know the results.

    Best regards

  • Win7 print spooler error. Cannot install my printer.

I bought a new Samsung Mini laptop with Win7 preinstalled.  I tried to install my normally (a fairly new Samsung CLP 315 Color Laser) and the system will not allow it.  I get the following error:

Windows can't open add printer.  The
local print spooler service is not running.
Please restart the spooler or restart the
    machine.

I rebooted the machine and got the same error.  I went to the services.msc file and attempted to start the spooler service to and I got the following error in the column "description":

I tried to restart the spooler service to and I received the following error message:

Windows could not start the spooler on Local computer service.

Error 1053: The service did not demand launch or timely control.

I tried to download the current driver more than Samsung.  I have read every thread repair throughout the web and tried a thousand different repair attempts.  I used http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1538-sfc-scannow-command-system-file-checker.html to analyze the files on my system.  I even bought the software UniBlue Registry Booster for $29.99 in order to eliminate the problem... and I'm here!

I can't add a PictBridge compatible printer, not to mention my Samsung CLP 315, until the spooler service running.  I can't turn on the spooler service because Windows will not let me... I'm unable to print and I am unable to do anything.

I'm a PC and I want to that I was a MAC right now!

    Can anyone help?

most likely the spooler is a failure after install the driver.  Because the spooler is not running, you will need to check what drivers. print processors and language monitors that the spooler is trying to load.  Bruce has a few instructions.  I guess you ran the utility software troubleshooting print already.

  • 3 print spooler error code. The system cannot find the path specified

Can't download drivers for my HP photosmart 2575 on my new windows7 machine because it says my print spooler does not work, try starting in services and it say error3, specified path not found, look under properties and there is no way, anyone has any idea?

To save in Notepad as a reg file, after pasting the information into Notepad do the following in Notepad:

File > save as > and select "All files" in the drop down menu to 'Save as type' and then to 'File name' enter a name and Add .reg at the end of the name (for example. spooler.reg) > save

Go where you saved the .reg file, and then click it to add the information in the registry, and then restart the computer.

  • Cannot add Epson printer. get error - print local spooler is not running

I have windows 7 on my desktop.  I had my Epson installed a few months now, and it worked very well.

Today, I tried to print a document and and I could not. My computer says that I have no printer installed, even if the epson scan works.

When I tried to reinstall the printer, a window appears and says "Windows can't open add printer.

print spooler is not running.  I tried to use Microsoft Fix to correct the problem, but it is still not resolved.

    Hello

Maybe you can try then - look at this file:

    C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\SPOOLER\PRINTERS

You see all the files in this folder? If Yes, remove all zeros in this folder and restart your computer.

  • Print Spooler error 1068: the dependency service or group could start. __

I tried - unsuccessfully - restart the print spooler on a box of XP with SP3.  I read the previous posts for this error and this box refuses to restart the service.

Is there an easy way to fix this without reverting to a system reset?  Can I run a repair?  If so, it will fix the problem?  I tried to run a restore of the system to a previous date and who could not do anything for me either.

When you attempt to start the Print Spooler Service, error 1068 means "the dependency service does not exist. the dependency service or group was able to start. »

Depending on your environment and your type of printer installed, your Print Spooler Service will have other dependent services that must run before the Print Spooler Service starts.  If the dependent services do not work, you will see an error 1068 or a similar message on the dependent services when you try to start the Print Spooler Service.

Some Lexmark printers add their own XP services and start the Print Spooler Service, lists them as dependencies and that is why these Lexmark Services must run before the print service spooler will begin.  It may be listed as the LexBce Server.

You now or have you ever have all installed Lexmark printers?  If Yes, do you still use Lexmark printers?

Depending on your printing environment, if you use another type of printer, you can have other Service listed tab in the Print Spooler Service dependencies.

Use the Applet of Services XP to check the dependencies of print spooler and options.

Click Start, run and enter in the box:

    services.msc

Click OK to open the Services Applet.

Locate the Print Spooler Service, right-click, choose Properties, and then look at the Dependencies tab.  Services listed there must run before the Print Spooler Service starts.  If they don't, you'll get an error 1068 or a similar message on the dependent services when you try to start the Print Spooler Service.

You should always see the service remote procedure call (RPC) and maybe a few others depending on the type of printer that you have installed (Lexmark printers can add some dependency Services to your configuration of XP).  All dependent services must run before the Print Spooler Service starts.

Dependent Services may vary according to the type of printer that you have installed.

The RPC service is also required for many other things to work properly and is usually still running and the autostart value.

If the RPC Service does not work and does not start automatically, you can have other problems, but start with the easy stuff first.

Of the Services Applet, find the service remote procedure call (RPC) and if it does not, right-click and start it and set it to automatic.

Then find and all the other print spooler dependency services listed in the Print Spooler Service Dependencies tab.  They will be lance automatically the next time you reboot your system (if that is your desire), set the startup type for these Services to automatic.

When everything works as you want, restart and check your Services again to be sure that they start correctly and solve any addition
    questions.

If the remote procedure call (RPC) service is not listed as a dependency for your Print Spooler Service, you must inform XP that the print spooler service depends on the RPC service.

Click Start, run, and in the box type (including important space after the "equal" sign):

dependent on the spooler of sc config = RPCSS

Click OK to assign the RPC service for the print spooler service, and then make sure that the RPC Service is running and start your Print Spooler Service.

If you still can not understand it, react with the items that you see the tab of the Print Spooler Service dependencies.

Don't forget to restart and check that everything works correctly after each adjustment.

Please note that using the above command will effectively remove all the current (and perhaps old) Print Spooler dependency assigned for the Print Spooler Service and assign it only dependent on the RPC Service.  It would be 'normal '.

The dependence of CPP Service would be typical of most facilities, or after you have uninstalled all the time some printers (Lexmark), but your printer may have a few other dependencies.  If it still does not respond, we'll fix it!

Do, or do not. There is no test.

I need YOUR voice and the points for helpful answers and propose responses. I'm saving for a pony!
