  Are plug you the ethernet cable directly to one of the ports on the router to the ethernet port of the iMac, rather than through network extensions? If so, and it is not working, you have another ethernet cable, you can try?

• Why can't I set a data like 554 GB store?

  I WISH I could get a store of data that is more than 554 GB!  I have a Dell 2950 with 4.5 to set on a RAID 5 disk array configuration - and I try to define a store of data every time I am only 554 GB.  I realize, I might have to break my RAID 5 array into partitions of 2 TB drives, but I can not even past the 554 GB.  That's all it define me.  I can't increase the space at all and i/o control is not enabled for my hardware.

  2 TB - 512 bytes is the maximum size, as described in KB 3371739.  Resize your volumes to be smaller than this size, and you should be set.
