I helped a café owner to untangle its WiFi (it had both an old, disconnected and a new active WiFi router, and had the same channels as the business side) and used my scanner for Mac to try to optimize my home network. But I still have a low coverage in some corners of the House. An iPhone would be a perfect device to determine interference and blind spots, because it is much more portable than my laptop. But Apple does not allow this use.

  Why Apple does not allow this very convenient using an iPhone? I just read about a hack that allows it to display the power of a cellular signal in detail. But you can't do it for WiFi. It makes no sense to me. Apple could do this job if she wanted to.

  Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that temporarily disables hardware acceleration, restores some settings and disables add-ons (extensions and themes).

  If Firefox is open, you can restart Firefox Safe mode in the Help menu:

  • Click on the menu button , click Help , and then select restart with disabled modules.

  If Firefox does not work, you can start Firefox in Mode safe as follows:

  • On Windows: Hold down the SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
  • On Mac: Hold the option key during the startup of Firefox.
  • On Linux: Exit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox-safe-mode
    (you may need to specify the installation path of Firefox for example/usr/lib/firefox)

  When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "start mode safe."

  

  If the problem is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, theme or hardware acceleration.   Java does not work on my computer. It's the new computer with windows 8 and internet explore 10. I downloaded Java and using Explorer to desktop.

  But whenever I go online and website requires Java I get same error message "ClassNotFoundExeption". Same error I get if I go to the Java Web site and press the button Test Java. I tried different things that have been proposed on Java.com and Microsoft.com but nothing has worked. I have newest Java and had no problem in downloading. I appreciate any suggestions.

  The initial problem was never solved?  I still can't get Java to work and I tried everything above except set up a new user account that has no meaning.  Using Windows 8 to 64-bit, Java 32 bits and I have installed and uninstalled several times on the desktop.  The site I can access works fine on my Windows 7 laptop and I have the same settings in Java on two laptops.

  I use a tabbed ACC pane. the code above there should be an action item saying "Update status" and it should appear in the toolbar action... but this isn't the case!

  Now working, actually the mistake I made was that runnig this socialinvocation on Simulator app where we have not native apps like FB, twitter, etc. by default... so it therefore does not display the POST option in the action bar when you go to the Facebook tab (for example)...
