Why firefox is now save my history to view private and available in regular firefox as well? It is a disappointing failure.

I just went to the private viewing mode and inserted the first letter of a web address and the address of the web all appeared. I then went to firefox regularly to test this and the same web address private-read has shown there as well. It's never happened before.

can you try to reset firefox and see if that can solve the problem...

You can be full-screen mode (if you have a title bar, menu bar, toolbars or to tabs). The F11 key activates / turns off Mode full screen or not.

You can get UN-ticked (unchecked) some toolbars (checked = display;) UN - check = not displayed)

  • Since the update of Firefox, my laptop does not save my history. Where is my story?

It will save the history during the session, in that you are, but when you reopen the browser there is no saved history. Cannot find anywhere to change. my other browsers are save the changes, but we prefer to use Firefox but it's too awkward right now.

-> click on Firefox and click on Options -> privacy-> history-> section Firefox will: select "use Custom Settings for History" -> UNCHECK the box ' Permanent Private Browsing Mode ' -> place the check on:

1 remember my browsing history 2) remember the history of 3 downloads) remember Search History 4) accept Cookies from sites-> click Exceptions... button and click on 'delete all Sites' 4A) accept third-party Cookies-> keep until: Select they expire

  • Firefox does not save form history

Recently, I've erased recent history, including the form and historical research. I've now disabled this box and I am using a week evey of particular form, but he continues to not remember the details I entered several times since I erased from history. In the privacy option, it is located in "remember history". If I change to "use the custom settings for history", it shows that "remember form history" is checked.

This seems to be an error or do I have to keep the privacy setting "use custom settings for history"? I use Windows 7 on a Toshiba laptop from 64-bit.

    Thank you.

Firefox doesn't have this form to complete related pref which is controlled by the setting in Options > privacy

    • Browser.formfill.Enable

If you have more (other) prefs, then they must have been added by an extension.

Now I would like to be the one to choice what I want and how to configure it, I don't need a browser to make that choice for me, if it continues I'll go to safari or opera. Thank you

Firefox didn't do. At some point, you may have added an add-on or installed
a program and the installer has changed things on you. Mouse in the search window.
On the left, click the icon. Look for and click on Manage search engines. Put everything
    upward as you wish.

    If something prevents you from working on it;
    Download the Mozilla search reset

This module is very simple: installation, it backs up and then resets
your search and homepage to their default values, preferences
and then to uninstall. This affects the search bar, the URL bar
    research and the homepage.

Look through your list of modules and make sure you know what each of them is
    and so. In addition,
Windows > start > Control Panel > uninstall programs.
Go through the list and a web search to check that you have not
    know what they are.

  • Why is the excessive MSIE browser history if I use Firefox?

I am running SP3 Windows XP (32-Bit Version) with MSIE 8
The system is common with all Microsoft updates and application vendors

Whenever I start, clear the history of navigation for Firefox and Internet EXPLORER 8. Then I run Disk Cleanup.

If I use Firefox, why the excessive browsing in Internet history EXPLORE? Why is there no browsing history in Internet EXPLORER in all?

After having investigated further, I found the answer to my own question. I see that another person, also had the same problem.

Thanks to the-edmeister. for the question me "what kind of story is in TEMP? I just took a peek, and the answer was obvious. In addition, no, I had not installed IE Tab add-on.

It seems that some applications will always choose the MSIE browser, regardless of the browser is configured by default. TEMP storage area used by Internet EXPLORER, in my case (C:\Documents and owner Settings\Temporary Internet Files), was excessive, for the following reasons.

    (1) I checked "Preserve favorite Data" in MSIE properties. Preserved MSIE TEMP data on more than 4,000 of my favorites. Since it has been verified, MSIE would not delete the data, and it slowed the removal of history.

    (2) Windows Live Mail also downloads additional data when you view e-mail messages, such as: JPEG, GIF, etceteras, in the area of storage TEMP used by Internet EXPLORE. My problem is that I get hundreds of emails a week, and I have hundreds of emails stored in personal folders.

    (3) I changed my selection to 'Search for a newer version of stored pages': 'whenever I visit the Web page".

  • I'm using firefox 9, why can't I save as image on google image?

I'm using firefox 9, why can't I save as image on google image?

Try Firefox SafeMode to see how it works there.

A way of solving problems, which disables most of the modules.

(If you use it, switch to the default theme).

    • You can open the Firefox 4, 5, 6, 7 SafeMode pressing the SHIFT key when you use the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
    • Or use the Help menu option, click restart with the disabled... modules while Firefox is running.

Do not choose anything at the moment, just use 'continue in safe mode.

To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before using the shortcut of Firefox (without the Shift key) to open it again.

If it's good in Firefox Safe mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to understand that one.

  • Why Firefox will not save the binary to install iTunes?

The latest version of iTunes (11.1.4) caused problems for many users, and the Council is to uninstall/reinstall iTunes. After you have uninstalled iTunes (and cleared out the folders) I tried to download a new installation.
Firefox asks me if I want to save the file and I click Yes and... nothing happens.

Have read elsewhere that as it is a binary file, Firefox he treats like a mixed content file. However, I don't see any warning about it and there is no option to download it in any case.

Is there a setting that I have to fix or is this a bug?

Finally I had to use IE8 to successfully download the installation program.

I think I found the answer.

If I put my download options for 'Always ask me where to save files', then select desktop, nothing happens.

If I put my download options "save files...". "and then browse to change folder by default on the desktop download, the downloaded files OK.

If it's strange just at the binaries I don't know but it works with iTunes Installer.

As I prefer all downloads to go to the office in any case, using "save files...". "suits me better.

  • Why firefox built-in PDF Viewer makes windows 10 crashes

I have a computer with Windows 10. For about two to three months from now, from time to time, my computer/windows crashes when I open or save a PDF in Firefox, which is extremely upsetting.
I just found out a few days ago that Firefox no longer uses the adobe reader plugin, but uses rather its own PDF Viewer built-in. When I changed the setting to use the external adobe reader software to open / download the pdf files, it seems that my computer no longer crashes.
So my questions are: why the bult - in the PDF Viewer gives windows crash 10? Will be corrected this problem and when? and finally, why Firefox forces to use its own built-in PDF Viewer when it cannot work properly with windows 10?
This was the most overwhelming problem that I had with my computer for a long time!

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox, Tools/menu key > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.

    • Put yourself in the DEFAULT theme: Firefox, Tools/menu key > Modules > appearance
    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode safe

Why Firefox is not saving my log in info after that I used the option "Remember Me"?
Whenever I get on a frequently used site where I have already indicated on the Firefox browser to save my log in info, I still need to manually connect. The latest versions of Firefox are not like that. I am running Firefox on both my Imac (OS 10.5.8) and on my Mac Book Pro (Snow Leopard), and on each machine, the latest version of Firefox does the same thing. I don't have this problem with Safari, but I prefer to use Firefox then please let me know if there is anything I can do to solve this problem.

  • Why Firefox log out of Web sites every few minutes?

I'm having a problem where I get connected off Web sites automatically every few minutes. No matter what the website is (Facebook, e-mail, forums etc.) once I have connected, after a few minutes of browsing I'll be disconnected again. I tried to reinstall Firefox and have cleared my cookies/cache several times, but it's always the case. I use Firefox for years and it is the first time something like this happened so I guess it could be linked to the last update. Someone at - it ideas?

A user who has value Firefox "never remember history" and therefore automatically part in private browsing mode has reported this problem. I don't know that we figured how why they have been affected - that is to say, private navigation changed?

Not sure that this is a factor in your case, since did you a Reset.

  • Why will not erase my browser history?

This latest update has been awful for a very basic computer like me user. I have used Mozilla with happiness for years, but the amount of time I spent trying to get back to the way I like it starts to get me back at all. Chrome is looking awfully good right now.

I already spent hours trying to get rid of the Yahoo thing that appeared suddenly like my search engine, and now my browser history will not clear. I used to be able to show the history and delete. Easy! Now even when history says that it is clear, even when I closed all tabs before closing mozilla (with the exception of my Google home page) when I reopen it Mozilla four tabs are back. It should, based on my my use prior, only open to my home page if I want to restart my previous tabs he asks me. Why is this happening?

I'm a very basic computer user and this diversion suddenly my browser and search engine is a bit painful actully and frankly I'm sick of trying to fix it.

Yay, love the internet. Found a way around it and what was the problem. I clicked on the wrong thing when settting to the top of my homepage apprently. Complaints about upgrade are still standing. Very frustrating.
