  So I fixed that on my own and that's how I did it.

  You must uninstall IE 8 completely which will bring you to IE 7 (in my case) and then install IE 8 via the site updates or microsoft.

  Uninstallin IE 8 by going to:

  Add Remove programs--->

  Scroll down to IE 8--->

  Click on delete.

  IE8 updates must be removed also, if not then click the box 'To see the updates' on the top of the window to scroll down, look for the IE 8 security updates and delete.

  Resart your computer and install IE 8.

  This worked for me and may or may not work for you.

  If yes then there are other methods to check the site in GA, I suggest to try those.

  I finally configured my site in dreamweaver and have a menu spry acceptable and even managed to post videos. I'm at the point where I want to start getting comments on my site and I'd like to track visitors, so I signed up for google analytic and got the tracking code.

  When I went to advanced settings. Since I was a menu spry that stays on the same page when you click on the menu options, I copied and pasted the advanced tracking code indication: before the < tag closed position.  My video stopped working, and the google analytic dashboard showed no activity, even if I visited the site several times to test.

  I finally got my site back to the operational and still want to track visitors, but I am a little worried about all spoil by pasting the analytical code. Any suggestions on inserting the code and tests when you use a spry menu?

  Is there a recommended way to test things without fear to alter for always the original file? I'm probably wrong assuming limits because I assume that the index file is connected to all the other files and therefore less editable without consequences for other files.

  I would test the memory for problems. Go to www.memtest.org and download the CD ISO file. Burn the ISO on a CD - R blank file by using an Image-to-Disc project. Then boot from the CD and let it run for an hour or two.
