• What happens in a batch file when you try to redirect the output of a command in a text file? How did it break the lot?

  I have a lot that downloads the files, and I want to redirect the output to a text file.  The lot is set up similar to the following:
  Set ftp = c:\ftp.txt
  hdir = Set / mydir
  Define ldir = c:\temp
  echo open monsite.org > ftp %
  echo user > ftp %
  echo pw > ftp %
  echo get myfile.txt > ftp %
  echo mget my*.dat > ftp %
  to echo bye > ftp %
  -I - s FTP: ftp % > "c:\temp\ftp.log."

  This lot works perfectly if I redirect the output of the ftp command, but, when I redirect the output, I get a logfile with 3 lines as follows:
  no connection
  mget my*.dat
  Good bye

  I tried the commands different redirect, with undesired results
  > & (which causes only the batch to close by anything in the logs)

  Why is - what this redirect would break the batch and the ftp script in particular?

  This is now fixed; was a simple mistake really, but thanks for all the help anyway.

  We have this application called localization, manufactured by Hyland Software. Whenever I've upgrade VMware Tools on our ESXi hosts on all virtual machines, it breaks the granting of licenses for the application and localization will not work until the licensing is completely redone. No idea why this is happening?

  Below is the reading of the application regarding the issuance of licenses, and attached is a screenshot of the error in the application. I'm certainly not asking someone to solve the problem of the application, but what on earth could possibly VMTools change that would have caused this? Thanks in advance!

  They probably linked the license to an individual (or several) attribute of the "hardware" of the virtual machine. Think of it regarding a physical system - changed nothing in the operating system (at least not GUID, MSN, etc.), it was something that the operating system has access to related material. You could probably bug them enough and get them to reveal madness method they use for this, but I don't know if it would be really useful. You can leave virtual to older material , to some extent, which means that you can reduce the number of times you have to repeat this process.

  You may have another problem like your drawing game for a recovery or a blending mode. You can be on the run inside, if you have activated your type to outlines. You might even have an opacity mask in your panel of transparency that you don't know.

  I created a swoosh with the pen tool and used a brush of calligraphy on the line. When I "vectorize" it described only the stroke of origin, not the calligraphy brush... How can I get the calligraphic brush as an object (I think Im saying this right) I want to be able to add such n gradients to the swoosh. All the it doesn't when I click on the swoosh and is hit gradient fill different rooms with the gradient

  Why must be a bug? You have a customs provision and must find a way to fill. But, what is your real sort order? You have only the three departments? If so, you could add a column in your query as

  DECODE(DEPT,  20, 1, 10, 2, 30, 3, 4) SORTING
  

  put this column in the same group as dept and sort after this new column.

  Nothing has been deleted. Perhaps if you explain better what it is you are looking for, a person might be able to help. You mean maybe predictive text? All these settings are in settings > general > keyboard.
