Why home page opens up to maximum to see in Start menu, but at the opening of the Office [shortcut], it opens its doors to view minamum?

Operating system is windows xp sp3 32-bit

home page is currently "My Yahoo", although it doesn't seem to matter which is my home page.

browser is IE8

Three options.

1: take the corners of the window and drag it to the format full screen. Do not use to expand. Close all other windows first via the taskbar and the latter. Windows will remember the size of the last closed window the next time that you open the program.

2: any shortcut you use to launch the window, right-click, and select Properties. Under the 'Run' drop-down list, choose "expanded".

  • Why Firefox page opens when I run the application it even when I have a selected homepage

I recently selected latest version of Firefox and vere from the overview page opens as well as my home page. I want to just my home page to open when I launch the browser.

OK, so it seems that there are two things that can happen here:

    • "See what's new" is now defined (as well as your regular home page) as your home page. You can re - choose your homepage simply only one page of the home button sliding. The details are in How to set the home page.
    • If you tried the solution above and it does not work, it may be that Firefox isn't able to save this preference for some reason any. In this case, reset Firefox will fix this. Instructions to reset are here - Refresh Firefox – reset settings and Add-ons. After resetting Firefox, you get to choose your homepage again.
  • Custom home page opens in a new window

For the passage of the last days, Firefox does not open my costum home page in a new window. It will show only my tabs from the last use.
    I tried:
Homepage of setting empty. Save and put the link back in.
Talk openly about: config and change the homepage.
    Opportunity https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/searchreset/
Remove all toolbars new and updated
    Entered into safe mode

    and nothing has worked.

I can always click on the home button and the link opens

You can check if you have a user.js file in the profile folder to initialize some preferences at each start of Firefox.

You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder:

    • Help > troubleshooting information > profile directory: see file (Linux: open the directory;) Mac: View in the Finder)

Note that Windows hides certain default file extensions.
Among them are .html, .ini and .js, .txt, so you can only see a user no file extension name.
You can see the actual file extension (type), if you open the properties of the file via the context menu.

The user.js file appears only if you or another software created, therefore, normally, he wouldn't be here.
You can check its contents with a text editor if you do not create this file yourself.

The user.js file is read whenever you launch Firefox and initializes the preferences to the value specified in this file, so set of preferences via user.js can be changed temporarily for the current session.

  • Firefox 23, home page opens in a tab

    I installed Firefox 23.

When I start firefox, it loads my homepage, but it load it into a tab.

In the past, it would be just to load the home page, without the leg.

Is there a way to go back?

    Thank you.

The options have changed on the Options > tab of the Panel. The element check box to hide the tab bar when only one tab is open has been deleted by developers (see first and last elements "Changed" on the page of release notes for the elements of the box removed panels of Options of Firefox 23.0 - https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/23.0/releasenotes/ ). A workaround to hide the tab bar when only one tab is open is to install the following add-on:

  • When I open firefox, my home page opens as two other tabs that I have my favorites, but don't ask don't not to save.

Well enough what it says above. I haven't recorded telling me to reopen these pages, but when I launch Firefox, I have three tabs open automatically:

    (1) home page.
    (2) BBC radio player.
    (3) a message board that I use.

I can't find a way to stop the loading of these pages.

I'm guessing that you have these other loaded into your homepage layout.

  • How can I change the tab settings so that when I manually opened a new tab, my home page opens in it?

Internet Explorer provides the following options to open a new tab:
"When a new tab is opened, open:
    -A blank Page
    -The new tab Page
    -Your first homepage.

On Firefox 3.6.10, the only option is the new tab page. If you click on 'Close' an empty page is displayed. There is no option for a new tab, open your homepage.

In addition, you cannot right click the home button to 'open in a new tab '.

Y at - it a shortcut for this, and if not, can firefox include this option in the next version?

Middle or {Ctrl + click} Home button-click to open your home page in a new tab. Or you can add this functionality via an extension.

  • Windows 8 - How to open the PDF documents and start application Menu choices in the Office of current work?

I have recently upgraded to Windows 8 Professional.

A question that I have, is that whenever I try to open a PDF document, it always opens in a new window dedicated, with a totally black background.

Is it possible to open PDF documents on the desktop, so I can see the content PDF, on the same page as all my other apps open?

Under earlier versions of Windows, can I go to the start menu, then select all applications, and they are listed in the form of office, as all my other applications already open.

In Windows 8 Professional, I have not found a way to reproduce this behavior again!

It keeps taking me to a completely different screen.  The one who looks like he could have been created for use with tablets.

I hate this behavior on my regular PC and want to know if there is a way to use the old and classic views.

I don't want to open the application menu in a separate window.

So, two questions: 1) is there a way to open the PDF documents in the current working window?   (2) is there a way to disable the display of screen separate application and return to the old start menu request window, in the current working window?

  • Why Visual Studio Cross Tools cmd keep appearing in my Start menu, although I do not use it?

I use guest a lot, because I find it faster than the Solution Explorer.  I do not use any shortcut to launch this. I use the Run dialog box.  I also have Visual Studio, and there the command prompt "cross tools."  He annoyingly keeps appearing in my Start menu, and I don't use it. The name of the exe for this command prompt is not yet 'cmd', the letters I type in run to start the regular command prompt.  I don't remember the running process.  Why does he appear here?  There is really nothing to do with Studio, so I think that it shouldn't go in the Visual Studio forums.

You may need to install one at a time to find the problem, we

and make sure that you do not use Windows Update to install the drivers of 3rd material part

Find them directly in the hardware manufacturer

and when you see the problem update right click on it - UAC prompt - then hide it

Download updates but let me choose whether to install them - if you select this option, Windows will download the updates on your computer, but not install them automatically. If you want to install updates, then you must install them manually. You should only select this option if you have a reason to not install updates automatically. Only advanced users should use this option.

Check for updates but let me choose whether to download and install them - if you select this option, you'll be alerted when there are new updates available for download and install. You can then choose to download and install the updates that you want. This option should really be reserved for people who know exactly which updates they need, or those who have little access to the Internet.
