I have a yahoo search bar, which was installed during a download and the installation of a http://gtopala.com/of SIW.exe system information application. This is the freeware version which is add-based software. However I wasn't expecting that the search function would be such a nusance and interfere with the functions of Firefox.
The search bar behaves as a tab App that I cannot move or get rid of. There no option to pin the object when I right click on the bar or to modify it in any way using the function 'group your tab' to the right of the tab toolbar.Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > appearance/themes).
- Makes no changes on the start safe mode window.

progress bar under download Dock always visible folder
I was wondering what to look for. It seems strange to the progress bar to download under the icon in the dock for the download folder is still visible, totally black or, sometimes showing a little blue. Is it that I just never noticed it before or what? I'm intrigued.

How to make the progress bar display in the icon in the taskbar for WIN 7?
How to make the progress bar display in the icon in the taskbar for WIN 7? I see Eclipse Helios can show the loading progress bar in the icon in the taskbar of WINDOWS 7 at startup.
Is not the feature that provides JavaFX, you must write a native connection called technology such as JNI to make specific Windows API call for updating the icon in the taskbar for the application.
Maybe you could go through the Eclipse source code to see how Eclipse and see if you can make use of the same mechanism in your application.
More tips on how you can implement this are outside my area of expertise.

I want to click to open the message, but it is to open when I select it, and I can't get rid of the open under the messages pane.
The preview area is called the messages pane. You can activate the message on and outside pane using either:
- F8 key
- Press the Alt key to display the classic menu bar > View menu > page layout > the message pane
I don't know why I can't find it in the new menu (3 bars). There has got to be somewhere.

Why on gods green earth can not get rid of this ANNOYING leOptionsonglet?
Options tab is displayed when I open Firefox, and I can't get rid of it. What brain surgeon he thought it would be a good idea? HOW can I get rid of him?
One of the possible reasons are that if the Options page has been added as a second 'Home tab' in which case it will be displayed in each new window (Ctrl + n) and every time that you click the Home button.
To check that you can go to the Options page and select general in the left column. To the top of the page, in the start section, check the box of the Home Page:
Looking for a vertical bar separating two addresses of character. A simple example with short URLS:
https://www.mozilla.org/|about:preferences
The bar certainly can be hard to spot with long URLs, but when you find it, delete everything to the right of the bar, then the bar itself (I suggest to remove the last bar so things don't accidentally get it together).
Was she?

I downloaded ZoneAlarm firewall. There you install Chrome and choose its search engine when you download. I had heard that it was removed easily later. I have reset Google in the search bar upper at right.
Now Firefox starts OK, but every time I will use a tab to open another search ZoneAlarm window is in the address bar and in the area of research of the Center, and Google search is in the top right search bar. How can I get rid of all ZoneAlarm search everywhere?I have the latest version of Firefox and Windows 8.1.
You can check if you have the search engine of ZoneAlarm file in the browser\searchplugins folder in the Firefox program or in the searchplugins folder in the Firefox profile folder.
You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder currently in use:
- Help > troubleshooting information > profile directory: see file (Linux: open the directory;) Mac: View in the Finder)
You can delete the search.json file and the possible search - metadata.json and the search.sqlite files in the profile folder of Firefox to reset the default search engines.
Firefox will rebuild the file search.json from the default search engines in the "browser\searchplugins" folder in the program of Firefox and the searchplugins folder in the Firefox profile folder.

Some program installed a yahoo toolbar that I don't want.
I read all the messages. Nothing shows under Tools - Add ons - extensions!
Nothing appears in the Control Panel - programs
I even tried to uninstall firefox. I rebooted. When I installed firefox, once again, he was there!
How can I get rid of this thing?
Thank you... Mike

I can't get rid of an unwanted side bar, this is a site that I had listed on my toolbar bookmark (?) in the top of my page.
This problem occurs more often when you clicked on a link on a website to bookmark the site. Do not click on "bookmark this site" or a similar link/button on web sites.
To correct each of the affected bookmarks, make sure that "Load this bookmark in the sidebar" is selected/checked by doing one of the following:
- Open the Favorites bar (Ctrl + B to open or close the bookmarks bar), right-click on the offending bookmark, choose 'Properties', last question at bottom above the buttons ' Save/Close.
- In the library window (bookmarks > show all bookmarks), click on the offending bookmark, click on the button "More" at the bottom of the details (right-hand) pane, item is the last item above the word "lower to."
If this answer solved your problem, please click 'Solved It' next to this response when connected to the forum.

When I open a new window or click a link that opens a new window, the new window has two blue bars along the top of the screen. The top bar is the one that I expect to see with the firefox logo, the name of the Web looking at page and the reduce, enlarge, close buttons. The second bar, below, has a tab orange on the left side who says "Firefox" with an arrow pointing downwards and then on the right side has him minimize, maximize and close buttons. These buttons are the same buttons on the blue bar to the top do. Below the second blue bar is the normal toolbar, but the upstream and downstream buttons do not work. How can I get rid of the second blue bar. He began to appear after the last update I did last week.

I put a theme on igoogle - but it seems now to be integrated into my firefox because it is behind the url box, behind the bar at the bottom of the page and bookmark tab. How can I get rid of him. I always change themes, but they remain on the google page, as they should. This has nothing to do with my screen saver and my fund screens - they are different and ok - seems to be stuck in Firefox in particular.
This has happened
Each time Firefox opened
is a month when I changed themes on google
I got it! Thanks - I thought about it. I didn't know there were Add-ons for the themes! Continued to search did the trick - that and ask...
