Only one of these printers may also appear online at the same time. Sometimes I use the laptop in a dock and connect the printer to one of the 2 station USB ports, and sometimes I connect the printer to one of the 2 USB ports on the laptop.

  This happens because you have connected the printer to different USB ports.  The same thing happens when you connect any device (e.g., a mouse) on different USB ports, but unlike "Printers and faxes," Device Manager shows only the devices not present ("ghost") if deliberately do you.

  You can try right-clicking on the Mozilla folder > restore previous versions and copy to another location. Once copied, you can browse and copy backup files needed. Please note that the restoration is not present in every version of Windows 7.
