  I'm not an apple person.  I read on a few different forums that apple has changed what is called 'writing' in a recent update to apple.  You may need to find an Apple expert to show you how to make sure you are allowed to write to files or locations on your computer.

  You cannot define a KBSC to an existing effect or preset. If a custom preset is not possible either.

  Sorry, I agree that it is missing in action. I don't know of a workaround, unless someone has written a script. Scripts can be called with keystrokes.

  For me, this is a very basic request. Why after is decades, not possible to Apple to change the reminder application so that it can organize the elements of a recall by alphabet list? Is it really beyond Apple coding skills?

  Press 'Edit' at the top right of the list. Press and hold on the stack of the horizontal lines to the right of recall. Drag it to the order you want.

  The reminders app is a very basic application, mainly to remember things by an alert. If you want something more feature-rich, there are probably thousands of task management applications in the App Store. I'm sure that one of them meets your needs.

  I created processes of Action of different orders and I added many stop order between my workflow that I can perform such as that cannot automate in action.   Perhaps all the people here can do part of this script and at the end of all tasks someone insert in the same script.

  Is there a way to preserve my presets, especially my custom shortcuts when I update to a newer version? I went into the folder - Files\Adobe\Adobe C:\Program Illustrator shortcuts CS4\Presets\en_GB\Keyboard - CS4, but all that I could find was the default values (Illustrator Defaults.kys)

  I'm eager to keep all the presets, but keyboard shortcuts are more important to me.

  I already know the following:

  If you scan a document and save to PDF, it is normally an ordinary photo and so you can not highlight anything. However, I can highlight text inside some scanned in PDF format. I guess that someone (who and how?) used some kind of OCR software. If this is the case, Adobe Reader recognizes the 'image' in the form of text and you can score easily. So far so good.

  
  

  The questions are: who must activate OCR analysis? Is Adobe Reader itself has a function for scanning to OCR? If I received a document that is not yet "Scanned OCR", is it possible for me to activate OCR, and then highlight the text later?

  Adobe Reader cannot perform OCR. Adobe Acrobat has this feature.

  Sometimes I find annoying to look for a service without knowing its exact name. But fortunately, most services come with a very good description of what they actually do.

  There is no research in the services.msc, but in Windows 8 and 8.1, you can export a
  the list in .txt format and I think it is also available in Windows 7.

  On the menu at the top of the export services.msc - Action list. This list is available when called to the top in
  an editor such as WordPad or Notepad, or even Microsoft Word.

  Of course you can also click the column header to change the inscription which could help.
