Why is my PDF invisible except in Mode full screen?

After copying pages from a PDF into a second PDF, the second PDF file can only be displayed using the full screen. I am able to open the document very well with a web browser or read it in the Mode full screen. I would like to be able to see it using normal page view so that I can highlight text, which cannot be done using the full screen.

What happened twice with two different documents - once a few months ago and once earlier. I copied pages of dozens of times without problem since the first time I had this problem, so I'm not sure what's going on with these two files. A I flip a switch or something, and if so how do I flip it back?

Thanks for any idea!

Hello MegDC,

Please open the PDF Document (file-> properties) Properties dialog box and tab select "Initial view".

Uncheck 'Open fullscreen mode' option under the Options section of the window, save it and then restart Acrobat.

Kind regards

Ana Maria

How to download a PDF file to view it full screen in Adobe Acrobat Reader 11?

On my Windows 7 computer using IE 11, I can do first passage in full screen on the page with the download link.

    See http://www.davispicturesandpoems.co.UK/pictures/9627909.html

Then I click on the download link. When the PDF downloads in a new window using CTRL + L. The images in the PDF file now display without no title bar - like I need (this can be displayed by moving the slider to the top of the screen).

My problem is that when I tried this on the computer of my daughter who also use IE 11 and Windows 7, the title bar was always available (I don't know which version of Adobe Acrobat Reader, she installed).

Is what I do make sense?

And why two computers behave differently?

    Help appreciated.

    Hi davwilli,

I can see in the screenshot above, you open the PDF in internet explore and not in the Adobe Reader software.

So, I would recommend you right click on the download link on the Web page you have above comment and choose the option "save target under" and then once the pdf file is downloaded and saved on your system, you can open it in Adobe Reader and then use the option full screen.

    Kind regards

  • How do a linked PDF open mode full screen?

I would like to as the recipient of my pdf link to immediately view the fullscreen of document when the user clicks on the url. Y at - it a change in the url that will accomplish this, or option, I can put in my profile (better)? Thank you.

Open the file in Acrobat and go to file - properties - Initial display and check the "open in Mode full screen."

The user still needs to confirm that the file is opened in such a way, however.

With the help of 4.3 LR, I export a slideshow as a PDF.  Even though I disabled the transitions in LR, the transitions automatically start full screen mode in Acrobat X.

My goal is to present the ths slideshow with a click of the mouse or arrow key, to move to the next slide in mode full screen. Any ideas?

    Thank you.

Yes, because Acrobat has its own parameters of transition which have priority over the settings in Lr.

In Acrobat, go > edit > Preferences > full screen and under , select .

  • The top of my browser shows when I switch mode full screen @ youtube. WHY?

The top of my browser shows when I get home mode full screen when watching youtube videos. It wasn't like that yesterday, and I have not changed a thing. I want the old way back if it is true full screen.

To be honest, I found a "update" of firefox button that has deleted all changes without removing the passwords and others.

has worked like a charm and fixed it.

  • I can only access buttons of menu on the first line when I use mode full-screen, why?

Many Web sites I visit have on the first line of the web page in a series of menu options that do not respond when I move the mouse to select options. If I use the mode full screen these buttons work correctly. These buttons work correctly when I use IE or Chrome. I am running Windows 7 and this has happened in the last two weeks.

Recently, the extension of the Yahoo! toolbar and the extension of Babylon have been reported to cause a problem like that. Disable or uninstall the modules.

  • Sending PDF files to open exclusively in mode "full screen".

Flash has this ability with the projector files. I wonder if Acrobat has the same capacity. I tried without success.

If you embed a script of the document with the following code, the file opens in the mode full screen:

    app.fs.isFullScreen = true;

However, the user will still be able to switch to the normal display mode, and it will probably not work if the file is opened in a browser.

In addition, it won't work if JavaScript is disabled.

  • Mode full-screen Windows 10

I installed Firefox on a new computer with Windows 10 and initially failed to enter fullscreen (F11) mode. After some tests, I came up with a procedure that works, but involves starting Firefox twice each time - a minor annoyance.
I have 1 'Favorites' tab and the other tabs open with a working fullscreen and close Firefox normally (I don't get the warning waited on the closure of several tabs). The following steps find Firefox upward and mode full-screen:

    1. launch Firefox. It gives a blank page expanded with the address bar and the bar tab with a single tab.
    2. press F11. Curiously, square set full-screen mode, it replaces the page 'Restored' size.
3 maximize. Window extends to its appearance after step 1.
    4. stop Firefox. Window goes away.
    5. start Firefox a 2nd time. This time, it will come with the 'restoration' page Firefox (with address & tab bar) which shows the tabs that were open at the previous close and gives the opportunity to select the tabs you want to come this time.
At this point F11 will toggle in and out of fashion full screen properly, so steps 6 and 7 can be either order.
    6. press F11. He's going to full screen (i.e. address & tab bars disappear).
    7. click on the button "restore". Earlier closing tabs are restored and F11 is fully functional.
    Issues related to the:
    1. Why don't I get the warning for closing multiple tabs? (It seems more to be an option.)
    2. because (in XP at least) the "Restoration" page should appear only after a forced or abnormal stop, why is she even get involved? (Both the cases referred were normal).
    3. why Firefox doesn't come until normal the first time, with only the tabs that have been pinned and F11 functional?

Since the first opening of this problem, it seems that the updates have been applied to Firefox, Windows 10 or both, and itself has the problem. So "thank you" to the one who fixed it.

  • the desire of firefox kiosk mode when the mode full screen allows a URL one exit (other than ALT + F4) required for the enterprise timesheet entry. No opt. No navigation.

using win 7 SP1, firefox 18 with kiosk software component snap-in r_kiosk - 0.9.0 - fx.xpi to x 86. Mode full-screen kiosk uses a URL to the entry of company time sheet. Firefox is not company standard and should only be provided for this purpose. We are apt to virtualized delivery via AppV and have a solution, BUT... Really like the absence of toolbars providing no other choice to the user. Do not click no right, no navigation. Perfect except there is no fence or exit option except STROKE keyboard such as ALT + F4. I'm not talented enough to modify the XPI file to provide a booth full screen BUT with an option to close simple enough for 3500 users. Advice appreciated.

    Hello

You can see the kiosk for Firefox modules. A quick search on addons.mozilla.org gave me this result: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/r-kiosk/. Have not tested it myself, but I hope that it is close to what you are in demand!

  • Satellite L40-17 t - how to get the mode full screen of low resolution?

    Nice day!

What should I do to get a resolution 800 x 600 mode full screen for Satellite L40-17 t?

You must remove the graphics driver and should only use a common Microsoft Windows driver that supports only the resolution 600 x 800 and 768 x 1024.

But I really don't understand why you want to use 600 x 800? Is the resolution 768 x 1024 high?

  • Toolbar problem. No mode full-screen.

Before I could click on an internet destination and happen mode full screen without an extra full box or click on F11.  Now to a toolbar which requires an additional step.  My laptop does not.  How can I fix my desktop computer to fix this problem?  I use the Windows XP version.

The site opens to the taskbar and you must click on it to see? This is probably the opening off screen.

Right-click the minimized on the taskbar window button, and select move. Now, use the arrow keys to get to the screen. Close all other windows except this one and use the cursor to drag the message to the desired size. File | Output and Windows will remember the size and location when you open it again.

When I opened my browser, I now only have one quarter of the screen and manually do full screen by right-clicking and selecting full screen.how do I restore it when I open something it shows full screen?

See if it works for you.

I don't have any other browser except Internet Explorer. So I have to use it as an example...

Open Internet Explorer > do not click the button full screen top right > manually use your curosr to expand or drag the window to full screen > exit Internet Explorer > re - open IE.
It opens in mode full screen now?

Do not forget this: window remembers the size of the last time it was opened. If it was opened and closed in fullscreen, it opens in full screen the next time.

Another method which can achieve the same result > if your browser icon is a shortcut.
Right click on your browser shortcut > properties > shortcut at the top tab > in the position to RUN, use the pointer, and then select Maximized > click OK when finished.
It opens in mode full screen now?

  • Microsoft Surface Pro does not open in mode full screen without the toolbar on the right projection

I created an interactive pdf designed for the Microsoft Surface Pro 3, set to open full screen mode. Recently, I think I did something for the preferences settings and now whenever I open the file: (a) I get a warning that it will open in mode full screen (I just want it to open it without the warning); and (b) the toolbar is always right if the presentation is not really in the entire screen. Help, please.

It's kind of like a dashboard on the right side. The tools that are available are 'tools to fill & sign' (exoanded to: add text, add Checkmark, initial Place, place of Signature). Showing also but not expanded not is 'Send or collect Signatures' and 'Working with certificates.'

I have been a little more troubleshooting on mine, and now I'm fairly certain that the toolbar appears because the document contains few fields to fill. I removed these items and now the file is opened in mode full screen without the list toolbar.

  • How to disable the prompt mode full screen

    I have a folder level javascript that puts all of the PDF files in mode full-screen.   This is a super simple script; app.fs.isFullScreen = true;

My problem is that he always asks the user, informing them that Acrobat is trying to put the course pdf mode full screen.  I would like to disable this prompt.  I want Acrobat always go full screen mode and never prompt the user.  Can I turn off this prompt in javascript?  Help, please

Is there a way to do that is set programmatically via Javascript?  I have 60 inch monitors who will view and browse several PDF files.  I want these pdfs to always display full screen, to fill the monitors.  It is so can be accessed via Javascript, these preferences and power "deselect" alert when switching mode full screen for all PDF files, instead of having to individually?  I looked at the docs of javascript; but I think not app.fs will give me access to these properties.
