  Problem: you try to open a PDF file in the browser. You would expect instead to see the PDF file you see a page (resembling a normal PDF page) - NOT a pop-up message with an OK - but with a message telling you that you must consult the document with Adobe Reader and tell you to download.

  Cause: the message is true. You must use Adobe Reader. You are using a browser that isn't using Adobe Reader.

  Solution: Download the PDF - the one with the funny message - on your desktop. So in fact open in Adobe Reader.

  Note: This is only a solution for both Mac and Windows users.

  Click 'Start' > right click on 'My computer' > select 'manage '.

  Click the (+) sign next to "Services and Applications" > select 'Services '.

  On the right, find and right-click "RPC Remote Procedure Call ()" > select "Properties".

  Select the "Recovery" tab, then successively in first failure, second failure, etc. "restart the Service"

  Validate the change OK
  Stay in the services menu.
  On the right, find and click on "Print Spooler" > select "Properties".

  I have a problem with one of my clients running Adobe Drive 2.1. Operatingsystem Username of the user on the Client computer Standard has been changed (MAC OSX) and Adobe Drive connects now its cache file to the old user profile folder. If I try to change it in the settings of the player, it says something like "can't be done, try again later". Think it must be a rights issue. Tried different ways with new users of the system, drive reinstllation with removal of preferences a.so. always with the same result, I can't change the path to the cache folder in the Adobe Reader, and this prevents me to connect to the cmis server. If the client cannot use the connector and the bridge to manage the connection to the cmis server - a little awkward

  I think there must be a file with the path to the cache of the Adobe Reader is hard coded, but I have not found the right file again (looked into the contents of the package of reader to Adobe via the Mac Finder). Can you give me a hint where I can find the entrance to cache-path?

  To change cache path manully, please follow the steps below:

  Assuming that the original cache location is User/wear/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CS5ServiceManager/diskcache, the new cache location is User/userB/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CS5ServiceManager/diskcache

  1. quit Adobe Reader and kill CS5ServiceManager

  2 copy the files under User/wear/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CS5ServiceManager/diskcache for User/userB/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CS5ServiceManager/diskcache

  3. launch the Terminal, enter the following commands:

  CD 3.1 User/userB/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CS5ServiceManager/configuration

  3.2 ls - al

  you will see .settings file

  3.3 .settings CD

  LS 3, 4 - al

  you will see a file with the name org.eclipse.core.runtime.preferences.OSGiPreferences.11.prefs

  3.5 org.eclipse.core.runtime.preferences.OSGiPreferences.11.prefs vi

  change the value ' system/cache_location' to ' / user/UserB/Library/Application Support / Adobe / CS5ServiceManager / diskcache '

  4. relaunch Adobe Drive, go into Control Panel, you will see that the path of the cache has been updated.
