  I assume you mean the icon that is displayed when you visit https sites. Note the "s", which means "secure". Secure pages are normally associated with the login pages or pages where you enter personal data such as credit card numbers. If the page you are visiting does not need to enter personal information, then chances are, it is not https, but rather simply to http. If it is http without the 's' then on the lock icon does not appear. The padlock icon at the bottom of the page. See the image below.

  No, it has nothing to do with the use of a data BINARY_DOUBLE type. Data types are data types, and locks are locks.

  The only way you'd see a lock type 'UL' (or queue) is if someone called DBMS_LOCK. This package contains procedures and functions to maintain your own user locks (hence, enqueue UL type), using the same queue and blocking mechanisms that Oracle uses internally.

  Whenever Eloqua creates a certain type of task, I need the external call to send an e-mail notification to the rep.  Why external calls task do NOT have the option of e-mail notification checkbox? See screenshot below.  Is there a way to force or to obtain this added option for task calls?   Any thoughts, Topliners?  Thanks in advance!

  

  Update on this post: I called support Eloqua and currently, they do not have the functionality to send notifications by e-mail for Eloqua 9 integrated tasks. There is no way to get this custom built/added either.  I then spoke with my SFDC administrator to see if there was a way to have SFDC auto brand e-mail notification area once a task with a certain subject line has been crossed to SFDC. He did some research and it seems that if Eloqua does not have a certain feature, SFDC won't it no more.  So there is currently no way to get tasks marked notifications to auto-email.

  I installed FMS and we are evalauating as a streaming server.

  If I understand the documentation, all multimedia files for dissemination should be stored in this directory:

  /.../applications/VOD/media

  However, if I want the file to be available (downloadable) over http, it should be located under webroot.

  /.../Webroot/

  Now my question is, why can't I just create a symbolic link from .../webroot/media to point .../applications/vod/Media.

  In general, we would like to do each file streamable and downloadable.

  My thought is, the sym link allow us not to have to download each file in two places.

  Am I missing something?  Are there security issues?  What is the idea behind having 2 directories?  I guess that the FMS can handle streaming and downloading a file at the same time.

  Jay is right.

  The server has been configured with two directories, because many customers is not available for download on HTTP support. Vod/media folder is for RTMP streaming only. Other clients need their media available on HTTP and RTMP. Webroot/vod folder is for these files.

  Here's how the configuration:

  If you look at the (rootinstallationfolder/conf) fms.ini file, you will see two parameters that define the location of vod media files:

  VOD_COMMON_DIR = C:\Program Files\Adobe\Flash Media Server 3.5\webroot\vod

  VOD_DIR = C:\Program Files\Adobe\Flash Media Server 3.5\applications\vod\media

  These parameters are used in the tag in the folder rootinstallationfolder/applications/vod application.xml configuration file. They say FMS it can stream files to one of these places.

  /Webroot is the Apache Web root. The Apache httpd.conf (rootinstallationfolder\Apache2.2\conf) file defines the location of the webroot folder. Whatever under this folder can be downloaded.

  For broadcast only, put the files in the vod/media folder. For the streaming + download, put the files in the webroot/vod folder.

• Why is there not a "right_click-> Send_URL" I can send a URL without having to open it first?

  Very easy to send a picture by clicking right on it and then selecting "send Image". Why is there not a corresponding 'Email Link' (i.e. send link) when the mouse cursor is over a hyperlink?

  The only way to do this now is to actually open the new page (in a new temporary tab), then use the "File->Email Link..." from the File menu, then kill the temporary tab.  Simply adding this to the right-click menu would make this soooo convenient.

  • Outlook Express places a backup of your dbx files in the Recycle Bin when you compact if you have at least SP2 installed. Other that that, e-mail messages do not go to her recycle Bin.

  If you have verified that you have lost all of a sudden Outlook Express messages, I would have responded with this:

  First of all, make sure Show all Messages is enabled in view | Current view. If this is checked, then two reasons common to what you describe is disruption of the compacting process, (never touch anything until it's finished), or bloated folders. More about that below.

  Recovery methods:

  If you use XP/SP2 or SP3, and are fully patched, then you should have a backup of your dbx files in the Recycle Bin (or possibly the message store), copied as bak files.

  To restore a folder bak on the message store folder, first find the location of the message store.

  Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

  In Windows XP, the .dbx files are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in the Solution Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder options | View.

  Close OE and in Windows Explorer, click on the dbx to the file missing or empty file, then drag it to the desktop. It can be deleted later once you have successfully restored the bak file. Minimize the message store.

  Open OE and, if the folder is missing, create a folder with the * exact * same name as the bak file you want to restore but without the .bak. For example: If the file is Saved.bak, the new folder should be named saved. Open the new folder, and then close OE. If the folder is there, but just empty, continue to the next step.

  First of all, check if there is a bak file already in the message. If there is, and you have removed the dbx file, go ahead and rename it in dbx.

  If it is not already in the message, open the trash and do a right-click on the file bak for the folder in question and click on restore. Open the message store up and replace the .bak by .dbx file extension. Close the message store and open OE. Messages must be in the folder.

  If messages are restored successfully, you can go ahead and delete the old dbx file that you moved to the desktop.
   
  If you have not then bak copies of your dbx files in the Recycle Bin:

  A general warning to help avoid this in the future:

  Do not archive mail in default OE folders. They finally are damaged. Create your own folders defined by the user for mail storage and move your mail to them. Empty the deleted items folder regularly. Keep user created folders under 300 MB, and also empty as is possible to default folders.

  Disable analysis in your e-mail anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer of protection that devours the CPUs, slows down sending and receiving and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs, account setting changes and has even been responsible for the loss of messages.   A CapsLock indicator should be part of installation Win7 OS normal and here's why.  I use a brand new Microsoft Wireless Keyboard 2000 s/n 0356100416937.  I can send you a photo or the retail sales receipt if you doubt this statement.  It is there no CapsLock indicator on the keyboard itself, probably to extend the life of the battery.  I also use an IOGEAR KVM switch to facilitate the transition between multiple computers.  Emule KVM switch a keyboard of 102 standard keys, so even if I load the last Ko-driver (MS Intellitype 8.2) the pilot reports Microsoft keyboard not detected.  Therefore, there is no way to determine when the CapsLock key is active.  If you have ever tried to enter a long password upper-lower case with the CapsLock key in the wrong state, so you can imagine my frustration with this keyboard.

  So, how do you display CapsLock indicator?
