• Why is there no user interface for moving the cache locations/profile?

  OK, so it took me a long time to find how to move the location of the cache and the reason is that it is done by an entry that does not exist originally, so a user need to know the channel config even magically set it.
  (this is browser.cache.disk.parent_directory for those in the same waters as me) and it still did not move the location of the profile...

  and it does not work so well for me (i.e. all) but why have I not copy and change things? It is created automatically the first time you start so FF cannot use the same method to create a new profile in an empty space?

  There never was a user interface for these parameters - Mozilla is "stingy" about adding prefs that will be only once required by the installation of the user interface. Also, I assume that the developers are convinced that a power user who thinks that even on the displacement of the cache will be searching for instructions on how to do it. (BTW, when you move the cache profile is moved to the folder path profile, its origin "local settings" folder - thus it is automatically moved out of APP DATA.) You can still use this pref to put the cache exactly where you want. I use a small partition for the TEMPORARY files and the cache of Firefox, so they don't one of my biggest readers logics frag.)

  Regarding the difficulties with a profile in motion, developers have threatened to remove Firefox profiles altogether for the last 3 years or 4 and WONTFIX had no Bug filed all improve or add new features to the Profile Manager. This will probably happen this year some time.

  Between you and me, there is a new Profile Manager application just went Beta, which will probably "be released" just as the existing profile manager is extracted from Firefox. It is very schweet and is always at the point where the developers are in response to reports of bugs on features to include and adding the items that are important. I have tabled a minor Bug on the characters allowed in a profile name, which was fixed in 3 or 4 weeks.

  Earlier we faced a similar question of the necessary validation is triggered when the click on the button 'Cancel' in the edit page. At this point, we immediately applied = true for > Cancel button and the problem is solved.

  It is the same for the af:menuItem IE (immediately apply = "true" to get around the validation of the user interface [client side], its support by almost all components of the adf).

I have a function (cut in this example) that I can call very well by itself of the extendScript window or if I set directly to the onClick callback, but when I try and call the function from a reminder and analyze arguments, the onClick is not working and the service runs once when the script runs first? what I am doing wrong?

• deployment of a BPM Application large Oracle with several projects of the user interface

  I'm working on a large application with Oracle BPM 11.1.1.5.0.
  
  I use JDeveoper 11.1.1.5.0 to build the application.
  The application has many tasks user with a lot of the UI (one for each task of the user).
  
  My problem is, whenever I make a small change in the project, I need to deploy this, which includes a master project and five or six projects UI (for now) for tasks of the user.
  As demand grows, I'm sure that this will certainly become a problem.
  
  So my question is if I do this the good sense? or should there be a more effective way?

  Hi Luke
  1. as a general rule, there is NO need to have a user interface project for an individual task. As initiator, approver, reviewer, LegalApprover etc etc, you have like 10 tasks (.task files). You can have just a single project of TaskForms UI and have taskDetails.jspx generated for each of these tasks. This is appropriately.

  2. any Application workflow must have only 2 deployers. Deploy resources are for real Workflow stuff that will have the main BPEL or process, BPM, human tasks etc. Basically, everything that goes into the workflow project. And another official of the deployment is that the REST of things means that the UI TaskForms project and other project support as useful projects, WebServices, EJB projects (if you have Web services). All this will be deployed as a SINGLE EAR.

  Lets take an example JDeveloper IDE point of view.
  1. application Name: SalesOrderApp
  2 workflow project name: SalesProcess (he is a a project jdeveloper project SOA or BPM Project type and has all human tasks, bpels, process bpm, rules etc.).
  3 interface user Project: SalesTaskForms (it is a form generated automatically for the first task you choose. Then for the rest of the tasks you can use this same project, to generate jspx for all others. WORK files. VIEW documents online on how to do it. I'll see if I can compile this list of URLS for you).
  3. support the EJB projects: MyEJBProject1 (some EJB project that connects to some specific to your back-end database project)
  4. support another Service EJB project: MyExtServiceProject1 (as another project EJB that uses data from an external source)
  5. some WebService project: SalesCreditCardValidationWebService (some WebService project to be deployed as. WAR file that performs a service).

  Try to apply the Concepts of SOA for each Service your application needs. Instead of putting all the EJBs and everying in one giant project, try to split their need logically commercial/sage and geenrate separate projects so that they can maintain as it is to other projects and other applications.

  Anyway, coming back, in the example above, you should have deployment just 2: 1 is the JAR file of SCA in the Workflow and another complete of the EAR file.
  (a) for the workflow project, right-click and generate a deployment profile to deploy all the workflow and NOT on the other projects of the user interface.
  (b) for each project individual genereate a profile of deployment such as MyEJBProj1, MyEJBProj2, MyWebService1, etc etc.
  (c) for TaskForms project, generate a deployment as SalesTaskForms profile. It is a WAR file.
  (d) at the level of the Application, create a new profile of deployment of the EAR type and now assemble all the projects in this EAR, with the exception of the Workflow project.

  First of all, you deploy file JAR of SCA of the Workflow. You need to redeploy this again only when you make changes to the workflow, humantasks etc etc.
  Deploy the full blown EAR file that has all the stuff (EJB JARs, TaskForm WARs, WebService wars etc.).

  At any time, you change your code taskforms or redeploy a java, ejb, EAR file.

  You should have a POT and an EAR to deploy at the end of the day. Infact this is how it should go into UAT, and production. They may not have many pots, multiple wars deployed. The reason why we have separated Workflow SCA Jar file is, because the workflow will not change frequently. And also older versions of SOA/BPM (before 11.5 FP) have a huge disadvantage. Whenever we deploy a workflow project, it will make existing processes VITIATED, unless you deploy a different version. This isn't a problem anymore for 11.5 + FP (Feature Pack applied). Therefore, be careful when you redeploy workflow project.

• Update the user interface problems

  I have an application that has three buttons at the top of the other, but is never visible at a time.  On the initial configuration of the application, the user interface is correct, but once one of the clicked button events fire several buttons appear at the same time.  All buttons are dynamicslly created and stored in a table to access.

  Pretty easy.  Where the problem occurs is removeButton_clickHandler.  It passes through and hides all buttons and makes the Browse button active thus active / disable another image.  Turns on and off the visibility making:

  In general, you define the button visible = false immediately except the one you want to be visible.

• Best way to show the user interface elements

  I'm developing a plugin in which I want the user to be able to put on a mask. I would like to offer regular access to layer masks, but I would also like to be able to define the type of mask 'ellipse' or 'rectangle', similar to the red giant Colorista, for example.

  What then is the best way to make these masks? Should I make it myself and apply them directly on the pixels of the layer? Or is there some sort of overlay UI that I can use? I would like the user to be able to click on the layer and drag the rectangle to scale, for example. What is a nice way to do it?

  in my opinion, the best way (as far as the user experience is concerned) is to use a custom user interface and not to make the mask as part of the image.

  If you return the interface as part of the image, it will be affected by the following effects and displays the channel, will be limited to the size of the layer, and will force a new rendering whenever you want to show/hide the interface.

  In addition, so that the interface is interactive, you must use a custom user interface, otherwise AE will not tell you when and where the user has clicked on the chassis.

  a cutom UI will be a much more elegant solution in regard to these problems.

  Why only regarding these problems?

  because managing a custom user interface is a significant headache.

• CS3 strange disappearance of the user interface

  Hi all

  Just update my system to Vistax64 and installed my CS3 on here and his works fine. There is however a strange thing goes my palette UI and it disappears. I was just test it after installation (which has installed fine) and have been using it now for about two weeks. I tried searching on Google and stuff like that to see if anyone else has encountered this problem but not really found anything useful. Attached are some screenshots so you can see what I mean.

  As you can see, it's actually my Palette layers has no top border, position, or tabs. It's just empty. If I click it, it will collapse (minimize) and everything will be visible again (tabs, buttons to close the palette, etc.) if I click it again, it will expand just as it should look like. It does not only with the layers palette, but with all the windows that are docked on the right side if developed on. (not sure if I am making any sense, pictures tell the whole story)

  I am running Vista Ult 64 bit, 8 GB of Ram and 3.5 Ghz Quad Core processor. It works and works well, just, this produces every once in a while and its very annoying. Also happens in dreamweaver, flash and illustrator. I have reinstall photoshop twice just to make sure that it was not a faulty installation but it works and works well. Right next to this bug in the user interface.

  Someone at - it a fix for this or suggestions? Drivers have been updated for my card gtx260, all hardware drivers are good. Just this strange anomaly

  What method did you use to reset the preferences?

  Another thing to try is to disable all 3 plug-in third party who cannot behave in 64 - bit.

Thus, each jsf page must have a bean of support to do the above and a bean managed to retrieve/store data? It seems that backing bean is more than enough. Why do I need a managed bean? Is there a way to delete unwanted ui components accessors in the bean to support? Thank you.

  You need a support to programaticaly access bean and change elements on your page.
  But you do not need to expose each component on your page in the bean support - the best practice is to expose a few components that actually access you.
  So instead of using the auto-bind tge option that offers JDeveloper, create your page without a bean of support. Then when you need to access a specific object in your code, go to the attribute binding of this object in the property inspector, click the > change to his right and JDeveloper will give you a quick way to expose this specific component in a pod of support.

• Offset of the user interface after update of El Capitan

  Hello. Since I upgraded my Macbook Pro late 2013 to El Capitan retina, I've known GAL of the user in function, mainly opening animation of safari and switching between desktop computers. These issues are only to make my user base, I created a test user and concluded that the test user was not the offset of the user interface. I have reinstalled the operating system, as well as talked to apple. Apple had me reset the Pram so that delete files, including:

  / Library/LaunchAgents

  ~/Library/LibraryAgents

  / Library/LaunchDaemons

  / Library/Caches

  ~/Library/caches

  and many other files like these.

  None of that helped, my UI lag is still there and fine. Also, I'm not sure if this is relevant; However, my recovery HD (available from start by pressing the alt/option key) is not an option. I'm not sure if the files I deleted with apple support caused it or reinstalling the operating system has done this. IM thinking delete files because I reinstalled the operating system using the HD recovery.

  Does anyone know how to fix the lag in the UI? I know other people have this problem, google search and this forum but no clear answer has not developed.

  Please launch the Console application in one of the following ways:

  ☞ Enter the first letters of his name in a Spotlight search. Select from the results (it should be at the top).

• How to get TS::SequenceContextPtr to customize the user interface

  Is there a reason that UIMessages are not enough?

  Just off the top of my head, here are a few concerns with the not not using UIMessages:

  1. How the user interface is unknown when the file of the sequence is developed to set the value.  Without an event or some sort of synchronization you can do exactly that.  UIMessages not only to ensure the right information, but they help also with synchronization.
  
  
  2. The engine does not know this information, and view of execution manager knows that the information for the current execution it is linked to (which changes throughout the life of a series of tests).  Basically, recall of front end, model, and other factors may spawn short executions briefly related to the Manager view of execution.  So if you take the context of the sequence of the current run is perhaps not the right one.
  
  
  3. Writing a user interface will be couple the user interface to your specific sequence file.  At this point, you can use the network variables or global variables or global queues as well.  It might even be better options.

  The situation you describe is exactly why the UIMessages were created.  Maybe you can help me understand why you are set on the use of pointers, you already have?  There might be a better solution for your case if I'm misunderstanding you.

  I have a problem which seems to be a bit like this:

  The VI I'm running is a step of edit of a type of step. LabVIEW checks if the property 'Step.Setup.ReadMeasName' exists, fills a listbox with her if she does. An another ListBox with all available measure names will also appear on the user interface. The user has an Add and Remove button to remove the 'ReadMeas' list box measures or add them to it of the listbox 'MeasNames '. Several names may be added/removed according to what is selected when you press the buttons. Once 'Fact' is clicked the VI writes the 'Ref' to the list box "ReadMeas" property to "Step.Setup.ReadMeasName", using a node to set the value of property that is passed the TestStand sequence context. If the property does not exist it creates.

  The only time where I have any problem is when I try to remove items from the property, after it is already initialized (i.e. non-empty). In other words, if I run the VI of teststand, put several names as in "ReadMeas" click on done, again run the VI (already added names appear in the box when the user interface is displayed, LabVIEW reads "Step.Setup.ReadMeasName"), then remove the names. IF "ThisContext.Step.Setup.ReadMeasNames" has opened in the tab 'Variables' step when you try to remove the names, I got this message in the Variables tab: 'one or more errors occurred. Please save your work and restart the application. "If I'm careful of not having expaded 'ThisContext' in the variables tab, but check the property before and after the removal of names in the list it does not work properly, and there is no error.

  This isn't a big problem because I doubt that the end user will check to see that the property has actually filled, but I still want to fix the bug if possible. I installed the patch for TestStand 2010 and the .net Framework 4.0. Someone has an idea of what might be happening here?

  Looks like you are running in a known issue 193751, which is documented in TestStand 2010 and 2010 SP1 known issues list. It is a problem that we intend to fix in a future version of TestStand.

• Is there a way to change the number of Sockets of Test, the User Interface of CVI?

  I would like to have the number of sockets in an INI file, the User Interface would be read the value of the file and set the number of Sockets of Test.  I know that it is possible by adding a callback sequence, ModelOptions, to my files in sequence and by changing the setting.  How would you do it in the UI?

  You might have the user interface to read and edit the reportoptions config file as the process template (see the source code for modelsupport2.dll in \Components\Models\TestStandModels). But why do you need UI to do this? Why not simply substitute the recall of ModelOptions and he do there?

  I'm not sure the solution you received one will work - it may well do, but the approach is different from what I do.  I based my image of background processing around comments in this article:

  But if you look at what you said your screen, you will see why you don't see all your real fields.

  The first thing that you add to your screen is as follows:

  You said this Manager to use the full height and width.  Then what place is left for any other Manager/field.

  You only add this option to provide abackground.  So actually, to do this, you must you add all your fields and managers in this HFM.  Otherwise that will expose after this one (which, as noted way they have no space to display in). I think you'll see something, if you replace this:

  Add (new SeparatorField());
  Add (_fieldManagerMiddle);
  Add (new SeparatorField());
