• Why segment would not match form submission #?

  We do a simple segment to shoot anyone who filled in a specific form. The data in the segment are about 200 lower contacts submits the real form. Am I missing something obvious? Why would this happen?

  Hi Sarah,.

  You are watching a segment based on a filter showing who sent the form you looking at a shared list?  If this is the first there are a few reasons as to why you do not see the same indictment.  The filter is dependent on the activity on this contact record, which in turn depends on the cookie for that contact when they submitted the form.  If the person submitting the form has disabled cookies, then we will not be able to record the activity of the contact (sending the form) and so would not appear in the filter.  This could be why you see an anomaly in the accounts.

  If this is the last you look shared list (adding to the shared list form processing step) and who is not, it would become a different problem.  It is possible that the form may have been submitted with a space in the email address and which would prevent the record to be created in Eloqua. This would cause the gap or if there was a form number present before this processing step that is configured in the form.

  Anyway, it looks like to get in touch with support would help to confirm what is causing the difference.

  I wonder... when a user clicks on the button submit on my contact form I want some kind of message saying that the user that the form actually went somewhere.  For example, after you hit the button send, a message appears that says "please contact me, I will answer you shortly.

  Unfortunately, this is not an option with the forms of the Muse. However you can use other forms of third party such as JotForms or WuForms in which the Muse widgets are available for.

• Muse 2015.1.1 - Contact forms now broken

  I have been using the widget of contact forms without problem on Muse sites for more than a year. I applied the most recent update of Muse CC (2015) on March 1. Make a few mods text the content of a site earlier today; downloaded mods on my server and got the following error message:

  "Failed to connect to a PHP file. Failed to check if the web server supports PHP required by forms of the Muse. Make sure that the URL of the site is entered in the FTP download dialog box is correct. »

  Until it has been updated using the 2015.1.1 Muse, there is no problem with the contact form on the site of the Muse.

  The release notes for Muse 2015.1.1 mention that the latest version contains a fix for the following problem:

  ""An error occurred on the server"message when presentation contact forms on a site that has PHP 5.4 version installed on the server.

  It is however precisely the error message received when sending the form is attempted.

  My (Linux/cPanel) server is running PHP and it does not work properly - there are other sites (both Muse and non-Muse) on this server that are still working. So here are my questions:

  1. What is the minimum PHP version required by the 2015.1.1 Muse? (Please, no alternate responses making reference to other positions - just the version number)
  2. Which, if any, additional services of PHP must be enabled for Muse 2015.1.1?

  A suggestion to Adobe; It would be useful if the details of the requirements for the servers hosting the sites of Muse have been published and accessible.

  Did some research on this and found that by editing form_process.php and comment out lines 15 & 16 (see example below), the problem is resolved.

  I always suggest using indenting in your code, as you nest IF / ELSEIF several levels.  I find the code difficult to read when you nest more than 2 levels, so it is best to achieve the same using a flag. I find much more readable:

  Your page uses a 3rd party widget that adds some javascript to try to block the right mouse clicks - which interferes with by clicking on the form in firefox. I suggest you remove this widget or by contacting the promoter to see if they have an updated version that works with the forms of the Muse in firefox.

  Some hosts refuse to send e-mail messages from email addresses on different hosts.
  If your form sends email as expected, change in the first e-mail address

  Muse on publish will show this message, because some hosting providers set up their sender as it will only PHP send to an e-mail address on the same domain. Generally hosting server works with email different domain, but in the case where your hosting server restricted email to different domain then you need to work with your hosting company.
