And yet this it? I begin to suspect the device itself. RAW to JPEG definition perhaps neglected conversion?

I always liked Firefox. As a web designer and developer, FF has proved to be my favorite browser over and over again; However, since I've upgraded to the latest version of FF 6.0 beta, all background images on my html files saved on my PC screen a lot, much, much darker than they really are. IE normal poster and this is the first time that I had problem with FF and IE not. Please address. Also, FF also added in random around the anchor points when borders I hover over them.

This may be due to a problem with the profile for your monitor screen colors or color profiles embedded in images.

You can disable color management to test this.

You can set the pref to 0 on the subject gfx.color_management.mode: configuration page to disable color management.

You have to close and restart Firefox for the changes to take effect.

  • Why do my files appear in all directories

Original title: Windows 7 backup file

I know I'm missing something, so I need some help, please. I have Windows 7 with Office 2007. When I open my directories there are 4: Documents, music, photos and videos. I tried to open a file in the Documents and I have seen the same document in the other directories and also listed under my Computer OS (C). Why do my files appear in all directories? Please advise me.

Directories such as the 'Documents', 'Music', 'Images' and 'Vidéo' are really (in the way which view you them from the menu of the Start button or office) "links" to the actual locations.

    • 'Documents' folder is in one place:
      %UserProfile%\Documents
    • Your "Music" folder is in one place:
      %UserProfile%\Music
    • Your "Pictures" folder is in one place:
      %UserProfile%\Pictures
    • Your 'Vidéo' folder is in one place:
      %UserProfile%\Videos

'%UserProfile%' is an environment variable which translates by (your computer translated for you when typed in / used) the path for the connected on the user profile directory.  By default, this would be C:\USERS\USERNAME.

Now - there are "Public" places in each of these users on the same computer could share things between them.  These places is...

    • %PUBLIC%\Documents
    • %PUBLIC%\Music
    • %PUBLIC%\Pictures
    • %PUBLIC%\Videos

The mention "PUBLIC %" is an environment variable which translates by (your computer translated for you when typed in / used) the path to the directory of the user PUBLIC profile.  By default, this would be C:\USERS\PUBLIC.

And if that's not enough for you - there is a way to be able to view each of these folders (your Documents and public acts, your music and music Public, etc.) in one accessible place - by using the feature of "libraries".

Even when viewed using libraries - however - the physical location is always singular.  If you put something in 'Documents', it is (by default) will '% USERPROFILE%\Documents' (C:\USERS\YOURUSERNAME\Documents\) and not the case elsewhere.  You should be able to see from the icon from your desktop to the 'Documents' or 'Documents' library, but they are just pointers/links/fancy shortcuts to the ACTUAL physical location on disk represented by '% USERPROFILE%\Documents' (C:\USERS\YOURUSERNAME\Documents\).

    Make sense?

Think more if it is not.  Here's the easy way:

Your stuff is on this drive here:

    • %UserProfile%\Documents (default: C:\USERS\YourUsername\Documents)
    • %UserProfile%\Music (default: C:\USERS\YourUsername\Music)
    • %UserProfile%\Pictures (default: C:\USERS\YourUsername\Pictures)
    • %UserProfile%\Videos (default: C:\USERS\YourUsername\Videos)

You can just get in these physical locations via different paths.  They all end up in the same end-location real.  You do not have many copies of the files.  (You have not more than one copy of this large video file that you created, UNLESS you make a copy.  "It is SIMPLY stored in %USERPROFILE%\Videos (C:\USERS\YourUsername\Videos).)

  • Lightroom displays files and exports darker than the original or Photoshop files

    Hi all.

Let me first preface this by saying I'm not technical interest, and I know nothing (or very little) of CHF etc. profiles.

But suppose a person will try to tell me to do something with them in a really technical way that I don't understand, please treat me like a child of 4 years in this regard.

I use Lightroom 5.6 on a Mac under 10.9.4 I Photoshop CS6 and fitted with a calibration Spyder 3pro device and all the Adobe programs linked to the exit of calibration to ensure 'if all is well' quality control.

I recently was analog film scanning and this import in Lightroom 5. I noticed that the file import always seems darker than the original.

When I exported from Lightroom, them they look like shit.

There were no imports of additional parameters because they are all extinct. I did when I installed LR.

I also noticed that whenever I imported a Raw file for some reason, on the original file would look great for a second then when clicked would change to something less attractive. But I digress.

So try to show what's happening. I created some images to illustrate my problem.

Also, it doesn't matter if I turn the proofing or disable.

    Lightroom Softproof on

    1-lightroom5vsPScs6_SoftProof.jpg

    Lightroom Softproof off

    2-lightroom5vsPScs6_No-SoftProof.jpg

Vs Lightroom Photoshop histogram - very similar

    3-lightroom5vsPScs6_Histogram.jpg

Left: file opened from Lightroom as the Original right: original Photoshop file

    4-lightroom5vsPScs6_Original_File_from_Lightroom.jpg

Left: file open an export from Lightroom right: original Photoshop file

    5-lightroom5vsPScs6_Export_from_Lightroom.jpg

Clues because it is very annoying and yet 5 Lightroom unusable.

These files are probably in grayscale without an included icc profile. Photoshop, using the parameters that show you will pay 15% dot gain profile. Lightroom assumes the sRGB which is much more mixed. You can see this difference in the massively different histograms. What you need to do is save the file from Photoshop with included icc profile. Lightroom should display the same.

  • Why run exe file run more slowly than vi format when we build application exe?

    Jin

We build the file vi drifter but exe file to run slower than the file vi. I check several vi and get the same result, which is slow, why?

    Thank you.

The executable runs on the same PC that you have developed it, or on another PC when it is running slowly?  (Thinking that if it's on another PC, it hangs on errors for things that cannot be installed on the 2nd PC.)

Where is the current slowdown?  Is it possible to have errors that happen that you do not see (as in the communication of the database) and which is at the origin of things run slowly because of time-out errors occur?

I recommend you build your VI with a code debugging in it.  As indicators to show which are the son of the error.  Maybe create a simple Subvi who will save a timestamp and a description to a file and that scatter around your code, then you can connect at run time.

  • Why my DNG files appear as icons rather thumbnails in file manager?

I chose generate the preview JPEG size when converting to my DNG RAWs.

However, when I was browsing the file after the conversion, why the DNGS still appear as icons DNG?

I guess they should look like the JPG pictures.

Gnerating saw guarantees that a certain software will use. You 'File manager', whatever it is, does not seem to be used.

If you're running Windows Vista, you must install a DNG Codec.

  • Why images I edited in Ps and recorded in as long as Jpeg files appear more dark seen outside Ps?

Hi, I tried the web search but have not yet found an answer. I edited several images in Ps and saved on my desk in the form of Jpeg files, but when I come to view them (on the same screen) the colors appear less dynamic and the overall image is darker. I tried to change the "color settings" at the bottom of the tab 'Edit', but this has no effect (IE 'settings', 'working space', and "color management policies" without effect.) I also published the same image in Lr to give a similar appearance and then saved to my desktop to JPEG - in this case, the image colors and brightness appear not changed.

I'm fair to assume that it is a result of the installation of the collection Nik?

It is a result of your color settings in Photoshop. (I don't know if the installation of the collection Nik would change the settings, but I doubt it)

Set color management strategies to keep embedded profile and uncheck the box Ask when opening to the title of the inadequacy of the profile.

It is also a good idea to check Ask when opening for the missing profiles.

This way, if someone gives you an image tag (an image that does not have a color profile), you will be asked to give a profile.

  • Much darker than Photoshop PNG Word/PowerPoint colors

    Hello

Can someone explain why a PNG seems so dark when they are imported into Word/PowerPoint? Bottom left is the appearance of the original in Photoshop. Everything is good. But when he goes into Word or PowerPoint, it darkens considerably. Curiously, it's also how it presents in preview in the Finder under Mac OS. So I guess it's just how the system and the word preview images, but it would be nice if there is consistency.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you.

    GCS colour.png

It's all pretty simple: when you have no color management - and you don't have MS Office - you must create the file in sRGB. Assignment of profiles later in Photoshop or elsewhere, will do nothing. RGB numbers must be sRGB first.

The reason is that most screens are near sRGB natively and therefore shows the files right about sRGB even without no color management.

What is the embedded profile, is useless and irrelevant here. The profile will be just ignored anyway. In the color management software, it's different of course, but it wasn't the issue.

So you can make the logo in Illustrator and export without profile - make sure that Amnesty International color settings are defined in sRGB (and that the file is in RGB mode).

  • Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop files appear extremely dark

I am a graphic designer and photographer. I have Windows Vista Ultimate Edition, Version 6 (Build 6002: Service Pack 2). I use Adobe Illustrator CS4 and Photoshop CS4 to edit my photos. Thumbnails look good, but when you open a file, the picture is really dark. I also have this problem with the windows image viewer. I downloaded FastStone Image viewer so I can see what I'm doing. I asked for direct aid, but they were of no use. They tried to download a different driver, without success. I'm the only one out there with this problem? Can someone tell me what is the problem? Thank you for your time.

    Hi Melsie517,

My personal opinion on the subject as I use Photoshop a lot myself, to be able to use Photoshop or any other software design to its full potential, you will need a separate video card and not using the video card to integrate it.  Embed the video card is usually simple and have the basic features, options to work but not many advance options that use Photoshop and other graphic design software.
With this in mind and consider how not expensive video card today, you can easily find the one that, around $ 50 and can do the job better than your integrated video card.  Not to mention it will release memory for your system to be tied up with integrated video cards.

    Hope this helps, Kevin

  • Why windows folder shows size much larger than the actual content

When I check my Windows folder properties, it shows the size of the folder as 16 GB. But when I open that folder and select all the files (including the hiden files) and then check the properties it shows the total size is 6 GB. Why is there a difference of 10 GB when I check the size of the same folder from these two different places.

    Ashish519,
Thank you for visiting the Microsoft Answers community forum.

When you examine the properties of a file, it shows the size of everything in this file, including other folders and files in these folders and folders within folders and files in these folders. etc.  When you open a folder and use "Select all" then select properties and it, it goes only to show the size of all the files in this folder, no subfolders or files in subfolders.

I hope that answers your question.
    Thank you

  • Optimized file records * much * bigger than the said fireworks will be

Then, I scanned a few sheets of paper with hand on them. Restaurant placed a Fireworks file, compressed opacity these and drop way down. As a PNG-8 with four colors, Fireworks fire says the image is 17.13 k and will have 2 seconds to download speed 56 k.

So I save it, and then check the file and find that my 17 k file is actually 696 k. What I am doing wrong?

I tried to save several times, but every time I save the file, it's huge. (The first time I saved this image, said fireworks was about 20K in size, but the file measured only 1.4 MB!)

I ahd this annoyance with the other images, but never on this size. A Jpeg photo that says Fireworks is 20 K records in the high 20s, for example. So I know Fireworks is not accurate.

But accuracy aside, I can't simply reduce this file to a usable size. I don't know how else to change the image to a smaller size.

You must EXPORT it rather than save it.

  • Could someone explain/link me to a forum that explains why the CR2 files are pink when they are imported?

I'm new to Cannon and when I shot raw, I didn't believe that I would have a question, get the images on my computer. However, when I imported using a converter, they come out of rose! I turned monochromatic and using a Mark iii if it makes a difference. I did not really find a clear answer. I'm sure it's something simple, I don't get but since I'm used to Nikon, I don't understand and can't seem to find anything to explain it. I really appreciate it!

What software do you use to view your Raw file? If this isn't Canon DPP, it cannot make your Raw in B & W because the third-party software cannot read the camera settings. If the whole picture is pink, you may have a corrupt monitor profiles. Nikon or canon is not serious in this case.

Test the hard drive with a diagnostic utility downloaded from site of the disc mftr. or use SeaTools for BACK of Seagate. You create a bootable CD with the files you download.
