Why my pc is constantly slowing down & gradually freezes

My PC constantly slows down and ends by freezes.  This happens so many times despite the use of Microsoft Performance Tools program.  Can someone help me.

Hi Emmanuel,.

This problem can occur because of disk space low, due to the infection by the virus, or if there are a lot of programs configured to start automatically when Windows starts.

1. what measures all troubleshooting have you tried?

2. have you made any hardware changes or software on the computer recently?

I suggest you try the procedure described in the article and see if it helps.

Note: Try the steps that you have not tried before.

Optimize Windows 7 for better performance
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/optimize-Windows-7-for-better-performance

Note:

1) disk cleanup cleans the files associated with your user account. You can also use Disk Cleanup to clean all the files on your computer.

2) data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means there is a risk of data loss.

See the article for more information.

My Pavilion dv2000 running Win 7, slows down or freezes for a short period of time where, what seems to be, a talk-show audio plays.  Someone knows how to turn off tv and audio if you use no background.

I solved the problellm. After stripping the system of all the games and all other third party software, I discovered that the problem would occur when connected my net. If I started and did not attach the net audio problem has not occure.  It turns out that one of the files system temp to explore has been altered by a virus which, down, loaded each time that the system connected to the net.  Problem showed when testing the hard drive.  Ran the disk check which fixed the corrupt files, then reinstalled win 7 and other necessary software.  All right.

  • Slow down gradually by typing in the text block

I read all the other threads regarding typing slow in InDesign, but I had not anything the problem that I am facing. My problem is that typing becomes gradually slow when you type in certain blocks of text, that is, it is fast when I start typing in the empty block, but as the text block is filled with the text, it becomes slow.

I use two types of blocks of text on each page of my document: one with no style whatsoever and the other with a style of object including a border, two rounded corners and margins. This gradually typing slow occurs only in the second type of text block.

I hit a relatively small (7 MB, less than 300 pages), file text without columns, cross-references, paste them from other applications, connecting blocks of text, or any of the other usual culprits for slow typing I've read about. Nothing else in InDesign is slow, including typing in the other type of text block (without borders, etc.).

    Any ideas?

Its most likely the rounded corners that is causing the slow down.  Not sure how RADIUS helps you, but having to calculate how to keep the text with rounded corners is much more expensive than when the text block is a simple box.  A suggestion to help alleviate the problem is to break the document by chapter upward, so that you do not have the end of a chapter that connects the beginning of the next.  When you have a large number of pages of text all flow from one page to another, editing text in a page means that all of the following must be recalculated.  Break this cascade of changes from one page to the other will help with performance.  A disadvantage is that you need to be careful and watch the overset text or blank pages that passes at the end of each chapter.

some help would be appreciated as it happened a lot recently.

Download the official tester of WD here: http://support.wdc.com/product/download.asp?groupid=612&sid=3&lang=en&print=y.    Run all the tests.  I'd be surprised if you do not have to FAIL as a result.  Understand that these are WD asking its customers to guarantee to run tests to prove that WD should replace their dirves.

54 degrees C is too hot.  Mine 32 tracks.  The high temperature is just another symptom that you say it's a failure.

When a player throws a bad sector, it is likely to have more to come.  Yes, there are routines to 'fix' sectors defective, but given the cost of a new disc and the benefits of the most recent, it just makes no sense to fool around with a piece of material that might be causing a lot of headaches

Everything simply good judgment says that you invest time with the help of a failing drive.  Get off your data when you can't always.  Buy yourself a replacement.  Probably less than $100. They are really not so difficult to change.  Tips: When you buy, make sure it is a 7200 RPM drive.  Buy the so-called OEM drives, they are exactly the same but less expensive because you are not buying the package.  There is a very noticeable difference in performance between the most common 5400 and 7200.  Your current drive is a 5400 RPM one.

From the data above, you almost 750 G.  It seems that 500 would do the trick.

  • My WRT110 slows down gradually over time. Why?

I noticed that my internet download speed became slow.  I tried using SpeakEasy and the speed of Comcast tested and found my upload and download speeds to be both less than 2 MB.  In the tests, I disconnected my WRT110 RangePlus Wireless Router and connected directly to the Comcast RCA modem.  I raised the speed races and got 21MB down and 4.4 upwards on two speed test sites.  I then be able to reset the WRT110 then reconnected to it.  So I ran the tests of speed and their return the same 21Mo down and 4.4 upward.  I came home a day later and tested and my download speed is 8 MB.  I came back today and it was 5MB.  I connected directly to the modem Comcast and returned to 22 MB down speed.  I then be able to reset the WRT110 and reconnected it and speeds were down to 22MB.  I have run this test twice over a period of days and got the same defacement of speed over time.  What could cause this?

I think you can try to upgrade/re-flash the firmware on your router.

Connect the computer to the router with the Ethernet cable. Download the latest firmware from the site Web of Linksys. Open the router configuration page and update the firmware on your router.

After upgrading the firmware of your router, it is recommended that you must reset the router and reconfigure. Press and hold the reset button on the router for 30 seconds. Release the reset button and wait 30 seconds. Power cycle the router and reconfigure.

  • Game slows down gradually over time. What to check?

Hey, I have fully functional game together, using the structure of the excellent tutorial of Toni Westbrook. I'm very happy with it! But not all right.

This is a scroller, and I wrote it so that a talented player can go away and so on... the power, rather than die and get another life. For example, tens or hundreds of items have been added to the vector and then removed with vector.removeElementAt ().

I think that the gradual slowdown is due the number of objects (dead). But I'm not sure. In any case, I discovered vector.trimToSize () and thought, ' that's it! But it has not cured the problem.

Anyone can shed light on cpu and memory usage in a case with a lot of objects to the most-deleted? Or suggest something else I should look at as a cause of slowdown?

The BG of scrolling should not be relevant, as it is just an object graphics and bitmap in the size of 2 screens, I continue to inspired, move, copy.

Using OS 5 on Curve 8900.

    I recommend using the Profiler.

It will show you the number of live objects, and the time it takes for each method to execute.

  • Why upgrade my video card slow down my CPU performance?

I have a HPE - 570T. Recently I have upgreaded video card a Radeon HD5450 for a GTX460 nVidia and also bought a 650 watt power supply. I did the benchmarks with the passmark software before and after. Why was my benchmark CPU 8100 before the upgrade and 7400 after the upgrade? Video card has been much faster from about 320 to 2300 for 3D applications well.

    Hi Spencer,.

I didn't notice that a CPU issue when I installed my GTX 460 1 GB. I'm also using the Passmark Performance (64-bit) version 1019 software.  I have two marks with the same GTX 460 1 GB differnet. A reference point was about 7% more fast (Passmark rating) than the other criterion of reference.  I did RMA the first card to the manufacturer, which explains the two different references. 3D performance was the also the big change for me.  I have improved since the video drivers then perhaps it's time for an another landmark.

You can send an email to the pass mark and ask what happened.

  • Mini 210.1155DX slows down when charging

    Hi all

I have a Mini for 18 months, 210.1155DX. It had worked fine until recently, when he slowed down incredibly, he came to the point where I can't use it when it's charging as it slows down and freezes so. Generally when it is running only on battery power, it is ok, but sometimes there are problems with Skype, etc., with voices sounding robotic that it runs very slowly.

I took it to different COMPUTER technicians and they are all confused. I hope someone can help!

Hello, to start things out of what are your power options on? If you look under control panel, power options and check to see if it is set to high performance. Also, I included a link to the documentation which may be useful.

  • How you will gradually slow down a track?

As far as I know, it should work the same way little to little change in height. On Adobe Audition CS6 on a Mac, gradually changing height is as simple as the use of the time and Pitch > 'Time and Stretch (process)' under the menu effects, then by flipping plugin iZotope plugin of the hearing and setting the tone early and final height on the audio selected. Why it does not work with the time? I'm trying to gradually slow down a song, but it doesn't seem to work.

There are several ways to slow down a part of a track.  Use Effects > time & Pitch > Stretch and PItch (process).  If you choose the algorithm of the hearing, you can perform a gliding stretch that will allow you to stretch, 100% (normal play), up to 800% (8 x slower) over time.

If you use CC for the hearing, Pitch Bender effect will allow you to keyframe the downturn on the screen so that you can draw the curve and the desired length directly on the waveform.

  • Why my browsers always slow down eventually?

I have a Macbook Air and use Safari and Chrome. Usually, I'm in the same room as my wireless router. Constantly, both browsers will begin to slow down in terms of loading pages and finally become inadmissible. I must close/reopen the window or completely restart the computer. In Safari, I use pine tab add-on, and 7 to 8 pinned tabs. I do regular maintenance on my laptop using the utility application, Onyx, to clear the cache, etc. Nothing seems to help.

Chrome was a resource hog on Macs for a long time.

You really have a reason to keep Chrome installed?

  • Why my PC slow down after loading of Norton Internet security 2012

Why my PC slow down after loading of Norton Internet security 2012

Because Norton is a Devourer of resources. I would say deleting and using a user-friendly program over Windows.

Norton and McAfee are the two least friendly Windows security and swine resource to start programs. My ISP offers the McAfee security suite for free and I refuse to use it.

I used to use Avast in conjunction with Windows Defender, (still a decent option), but since MSE became of age, I have used which. MSE is an anti-virus, Anti-Spyware and Anti-Malware program all in one. IMO, it is a program MS got it wrong. And all of these options are freeware.

If you choose to give it a try, download and save the MSE. Remove Norton and install MSE.
