  • Adobe Flash plugin does not work with Firefox 7.0.1.in Windows XP Pro

Using Firefox 7.0.1 plugin Flash 11.0.1.152 installs OK in Windows XP Home Edition, but not Windows XP Professional.

I don't know if this is related, but the page http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer OK appears in Win XP Home but comes in the form of text in Win XP Pro.

By clicking on the download link does nothing, so I need to use Windows IE to download the Flash Installer and start it manually. When I do, Flash installs OK in Internet Explorer, but not in FF.

Windows XP and home are quite similar, the main difference is in the way security and permissions are managed.

You have probably not install or update the Flash Player plugin on the XP Pro computer. Note IE & Firefox use different plugins for FlashPlayer.

    Hi Annie,.

    Try the following.

First of all, download and run the uninstall program of Shockwave on the link below.

After this has completed, restart the laptop.

  • activated via the desktop experience, Flash still does not, why?

We have servers Windows Server R2 2012.

I activated the office experience via PowerShell, I checked the addon Flash is on, I cleaned the cache files, I did everything that I could find...

    Flash still does not work!

I even updated and rebooted the testing server - still no Flash when I visit the page using Adobe Flash.

    What should I do now?

It's on a test server that never had Flash on it before installing the desktop experience to enable Flash.

Other servers have had the IE plugin installed, and this plugin can be removed.

I have run Windows Update to download Flash and IE up to date.

    Thank you, Tom

    Hello

Have you tried to add the site to the list of "Trusted Sites"? I have enabled the desktop (via the Manager server and PowerShell) experience on a Windows Server 2012 and has been invited to add the site (helpx.adobe.com) to the list of Trusted Sites for the display of the page (http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/flash-player-issues-windows-8.html) the flash content.  Windows servers have stricter security restrictions and I often find that I have to add sites to the trusted to have content Sites to display list.

  • Flash 9 plugin does not start if not focused tab!

I've been struggling with Flash to do what he has always done well and does now with incompetence: play.

The music player on my website is designed to automatically load the following URL it does. The problem is that the Flash object does not start until you manually open the browser and then bring the focus to the tab of that page with the Flash object. I want the Flash to automatically start for my visitors, if the my site tab is in is not centered and the window of the browser is not yet to the point! IE automatically plays the Flash object but using Flash 7 as Opera and Firefox using Flash 9. Rather than rebuild about 100 flash objects from scratch, I want to just find a way to make it work! Here's my Flash settings who have had absolutely no effect regardless of what values I give them...

    Quote:
    < param name = "allowScriptAccess" value = "always" / >
    < param name = 'play' value = 'true' / >
    < param name = "quality" value = "high" / >
    < param name = 'wmode' value = 'transparent' / >
  • Adobe Flash Player does not install on Firefox 5 for me.

I tried the two installation via the finder plugin and manually download and install the .exe from the adobe Web site, but the plugin of flash/shockwave never gets listed on the list of plugins for Firefox. I also tried to uninstall, reboot and installation, but the flash still does not work on me for Firefox (although it works fine on IE).

There are 2 versions of Adobe Flash; an ActiveX version for IE only and a plug-in version for most of the other browsers like Firefox. On a Windows system, you must always update both individually.

    1. With Firefox, click the direct download link below and SAVE the download on your desktop, so you can find it later: http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player.exe
    2. When the download is complete, close Firefox (file > button OR exit Firefox > exit)
    3. Click or double-click the file that you just saved on your desktop
      • In the install window that appears, select the check box to the left of "I read and...» "to place a check mark in the box of
      • The button 'Install' in the lower right corner is now highlighted, click it.
      • Installation is quick.
    4. Launch Firefox and test your installation here: https://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
    5. ActiveX version (IE) link: http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player_ax.exe

  • WARNING plugin does not, Mozglue.dll fails

Anytime I go to a site that needs flash player Firefox blocks. I get warnings constant plugin does not respond and the only way out Firefox ends the task in the Task Manager. So far I have made the following Firefox, updated a couple of times, did a clean install, twice, hardware acceleration disabled in Firefox, true, unchecked in Flash player, Webgl.disabled changed to hardware acceleration checked my graphics driver is up to date. Firefox is version 42.0, Adobe Flash Player is version 20.0.0.235. I've included the error message I get under it leading to the Mozglue.dll as the culprit. I hope that this can be corrected. Thanks for your thoughts.

    Download Firefox for all systems and languages {web link}
    Save the file. Then;

Using your file browser, open the Programs folder on your computer.

    Windows: C:\Program Files
    C:\Program Files (x 86)
    Mac: Open the folder "Applications".
    Linux: See your user manual.

Find and rename files Mozilla or Firefox by adding .old to them.

After restarting the computer, use a registry scanner. Then, run the Setup program.
If all goes well, remove the OLD files when you are finished.

  • Shockwave Flash is CONSTANTLY not answer and crashing

    Hello

I had this problem for a long time, and I did everything suggested most in other forums on this topic. I disabled "disabled protected mode, disabled hardware acceleration, made sure everything is updated, and nothing works. Unfortunately, this makes Firefox so useless that I had to switch to another browser at the moment, but is having his own issues. Very frustrating! I like Firefox and would like it to work, but this 'shockwave flash plugin' problem is a problem persisting since last year.

I have seen many others who were not able to solve the problem via the above suggestions, so - what is the verdict? Is there anything else I can try?

    See you soon
