Why my windows are not connected to my Skype?

My boyfriend and I talk on Skype every night.  The last two nights he says Windows does not connect and is looking for a solution.  I've updated my Skype and did all the updates for my computer.  I need help.

Hello

Definitely check the network drivers - NETWORK card (wired) and WiFI (wireless)-
system manufacturer (manufacturer of motherboard if a system customized) and the real
sites of the manufacturers of devices for updated versions.

Antivirus/security programs "could" be ingesting pourrait other startup programs.

Use the method to boot clean to see if something is causing a conflict with Skype.

I got an asus computer notebook windows vista, upgrade from vista to windows 7, now I'm not able to do a clean install of windows xp, when I try to install XP, it says that hard drives are not connected & windows cannot find not the hard drives, so once again installed windows 7, is there a way to overcome this problem Why do I get the message windows xp does not detect hard drives? I even formatted the hard drive & tried to install Xp, but still, I get the same message.

    The answers will be appreciated...

    Thank you

Because the Windows XP installation CD does not have the necessary disk controller drivers.  You will need a floppy drive to provide the drivers of controller for the installation program, or you will need to burn a CD of Windows XP with the controller drivers slipstreamed into the installation.  A CD of Windows XP with SP2 included may have the necessary drivers.

  • Windows 7 PCs are not connected to the closest access point

Windows 7 PCs are not connected to the nearest access point.  Any ideas?

    For example:

We have AP 1 and 2 of the AP for exaple.  They have the same SSID.  AP 2 is further with a bad signal.  AP 1 is closest with an excellent signal.  Why my laptop does not connect to the AP 1?

You MUST use the same SSID.  I think that you misread my post.

And Yes, a channel problem is that what I have proposed.  You can try to configure access points using the 3 discrete channels (1, 6 and 11) to minimize any overlapping units to the same channel coverage.
At least this is the traditional way, we do it, although the automatic selection increases common and 11n 40 Mhz channels (if defined in this way) are also in.

  • Why windows does not connect to the Group Policy client?

I am currently using a dell inspiron with windows 7 Edition 7720 Home premium and recently a message started to appear above my taskbar saying

"Unable to connect to a windows service.
Windows could not connect to the Group Policy Client service. The problem prevents standard users to log on to the system.
As long as administrator, you can go through the system event log to see why the service failed"
Anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it?

The resolution is quite easy. Ignore all these tech geeks here and on other sites that just want to show how they can play with the registers - a very dangerous game.  Go to search, type in cmd, open cmd as administrator.  Type exactly this (with the indicated spaces): netsh winsock repair, and then press ENTER. You need to restart (NOT close and turn on) your computer. Bingo! Unfortunately, this condition can re - occur from time to time, as if you start your computer before you turn on your internet connection and establish a good connection.  Don't worry the fix takes about 3 to 5 minutes depending on your speed of restart computer.

  • Windows 8 pro applications say that they are not connected to the internet

I just installed Windows 8 pro and after installing, everything worked well. However, now all applications say that they are not connected to the internet.

Shop Windows says "you're PC is not connected to the internet," However, when I go to the Office the internet works fine.
    How can I fix?
I tried to make a new account and check my internet options, but nothing seems to work.

After much more research online, I was able to find the problem for my computer. Before moving to windows 8, I had AVG internet security on windows 7, and apparently that's what was blocking the applications to connect to the internet.

So if you have some type of antivirus or internet security installed, try to remove them to see if that makes a difference.

There is also a box with a red x and the message reads unplugged network cable. It is very aggravating. Can someone tell me how to solve this problem? It might have something to do with my firewall? Hi LouisteanGriffin,

    ·         Did you do changes on the computer before the show?

    Follow these methods.

    Method 1: Follow these steps:

Step 1: Start the computer in safe mode with network and check if the problem persists.

A description of the options to start in Windows XP Mode

How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" State

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310353

Note: After completing the steps in the clean boot troubleshooting, follow the section How to configure Windows to use a Normal startup state of the link to return the computer to a Normal startupmode.

After the clean boot used to resolve the problem, you can follow these steps to configure Windows XP to start normally.

    (a) click Start, run.

    (b) type msconfigand click OK.

    (c) the System Configuration Utility dialog box appears.

    (d) click the general tab, click Normal startup - load all services and device drivers and then click OK.

    (e) when you are prompted, click on restart to restart the computer.

Method 2: Temporarily disable the security software.

Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you do not disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network during the time that your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

    Hi 1234Tony,

First of all, I suggest you that you also scan your laptop for infection by the virus. Second, reset TCP/IP stack Winsock settings. This could correct mistakes involving internet connectivity as a result of problems of installation of network software, due to a virus, trojan or malware infection or even due to disinfection of spyware security software.

To repair and put back the Windows Vista

    1. Click the Start button.
    2. Type Cmd in start it the search text box.
    3. Press Ctrl-Shift-Enter keyboard shortcut to run command as administrator prompt. Allow elevation request.
    4. Type netsh winsock reset in the command line shell, and then press the Enter key.
    5. Restart the computer

I did system restore, but it did not work. I ran Fixit program but nothing happened. So what is the cause and how to fix it?

    Hello

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community Forum.

I understand that you get the message 'Windows 7 did not link with the event notification system. Let me ask you a few questions to better understand.

    1. When exactly do you get this error?
    2. This error occurs on a specific user account?
    3. You did a significant hardware or software change before this problem?
    4. What security software do you use?

This conflict may have been caused by some programs launched during the startup process of Windows 7 with the services.

I suggest you to try the following suggestions and check.

Method 1: The value Service of event system Automatic Notification.

    To so proceed as follows:

one), click Start or press the Windows key + R

    (b) type Services.msc in the search box and press enter.

    (c) right click on System Event Notification Service.

    (d) click on Properties , change the startup type to Automatic.

If the computer stops during execution of the above steps, you can try to put the computer in clean boot mode and check.

    Method 2: Check safe mode

Start your computer in safe mode

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Start-computer-safe-mode#start-computer-safe-mode=Windows-7

If the computer starts quickly in safe mode, check in a clean boot

Method 3: Perform the clean boot

  • Windows could not connect to the user profile Service

I couldn't use my own laptop for six months. Whenever I try to connect to my profile (profile/ONLY the Administrator profile), it gives me this:

"Unable to connect to a windows service. Windows could not connect to the service user profile service. This problem prevents standard users to log on to the system. As an administrator, you can view the system event log to see why the service did not respond. »

The error itself didn't come for two days now, but the problems still present themselves:

    -My personal profile seems gone.

-Impossible to connect to the internet (my connection is fine, I use another laptop on the network even in the same House now)

    -Return to default settings

    -Slower than usual start.

I tried the solutions that have been everywhere online and none of them worked for me. Help, please? I'd like to have my laptop back...

Additional info: Im using a laptop Windows 7 Dell Inspiron (1564) and there is no point of restoration since before the error. I tried the Regedit fix and it didn't work and it doesn't let me delete the profile owner / administrator as to make a new one.

To correct this corruption of user profiles, consult a guide to recovery of lost password Windows 7 Home Premium account user, can't connect, connection problem

Him begins the article with some basic steps you can take and then work upwards through more complicated methods where the easiest do not solve the problem. Please read the intro, but I think it will be the 8 method which solves your problem. Follow the precautionary measures later in the thread as well.

You could be up & running again within an hour, probably less.

If you have any questions, then post them here [i.e. don't post in the thread linked as it is already very long]; I'll keep an eye on this issue.

  • Sync of DM of blackBerry Smartphones 'are not connected to the internet.

I have the BB Curve 8330. I HAD DM 4.3. I bought the new computer, with Windows 7, and I downloaded the latest version of the DM. Now the message says that you are not connected to the internet. I did a lot of research today, and I do not understand much about the proxies. The only thing I see is that I listed port 80, but I see no other. I don't know if I need these two ports, and if I do, I do not understand how to find the address and add the other port. I know as little about proxies that I don't even know if I am this wording of the questions correctly! Sorry! I hope someone can help without a really complicated solution!

Sorry that I was not back to meet and finalize this - had some seedlings to make! Finally got between this rain! I digress... Well had a few other issues with my new computer, HP have called and got help from them - couldn't even send and receive emails more. I'm embarrassed to say that the problem with my timing and electronic mail was Norton Antivirus! I had to uninstall it - that you can't even do it right on your computer, you must go to their website and get a special tool to uninstall it and when it was all finished, my e-mail has started working again and so did my syncing. I can't believe that a program like this can cause so much havoc. I know there are a lot of threads that say to deal with your antivirus, but there was a trial version on my new computer that I had not subscribed too, and even the trial were exhausted. I had checked all my settings on anti-virus, but it didn't matter. I had to uninstall all.  Thanks for your help anyway. You always learn a lot that you go when you run into problems. My own Kaspersky program is now installed, my BB is in sync, work e-mail, and seeding is finished - everything is good!
