  Once you open a Word attachment in an email, you must save it to your HARD drive until you make changes. If you do not, the changes are lost, but the original attachment is still with the e-mail.

  Windows Mail has no limit, no limit's service provider that manages your email routing.  In this case, the BT Internet company is the cause of the block.

  You can ask them if they can allow attachments more bulky (I doubt they will), or you can use another service which has larger limits, like Microsoft Outlook.com E-mail or Google Gmail.

  After 2 years works perfectly, my full/empty trash registered only now activate (on my desktop) after that I have enter or exit Windows Mail.

  IBC works normally otherwise. Only the change of icon does not have at the time. I have all of the default settings.

  Added; the bin function is normal. Bin, the bin or empty bin icon status does not change according to the condition of bin.

  If I empty the tray, the icon is complete. Then becomes later empty. (usually when I go into Windows mail)

  In Windows Mail, go to tools | Accounts | Mail | Properties and you can set the address there.  If you send from Windows Mail, and you have two accounts listed, then you must set the default account.

  If you answered a form on a Web site, Windows will look to see what is your default e-mail client, and which is set through the control panel. Default programs and you can change out there.  But webmail cannot be set as the default mail client, so you can have experienced this issue.  If you don't want to send at all via Windows Mail, then change the SMTP settings so that they will not work.  This way if she is trying to send, it won't.
