  I have an iMac.  Last week, I noticed that when I open LR, it is enlarged.  So I can't use my cursor to resize the window as I want.  In addition, I see the usual icons of red green, yellow at the top left to maximize, minimize or close the window.  Is there a setting in LR or on my Mac settings that could cause this?  No other app on my Mac is expanded like this, even Photoshop.  It drives me crazy because I can't even move the display window from one monitor to the other for flexibility.  Help!

  There are three things to try. If this image has been opened through Adobe Camera Raw 9.0, unchecking the GPU in ACR preferences. 9.1 is up-to-date and should have corrected it.

  

  Second: Photoshop Preferences > Performance > GPU settings advanced, tamp him drawing to this Basic Mode.

  

  If it does not, uncheck the box "Use Graphics Processor" in Photoshop preferences until there is a fix.

  Place the cursor over an image and a pencil appears on the side. Click on it and you will get the options including one to change the width and alignment. This seems to be the only option currently.

  Unfortunately you are not alone. HP has sold a lot of different models with the M2N78 - motherboard. The problem is that the manufacturer of the Board of Directors (not HP) set up a controller chip NVidia which tended to overheat. Once this chip goes, ur stuck. The SATA ports are controlled by this chip.

All of my InDesign CC 2015 palettes are too short and I don't see the options on the right side (for example. Layers palette: can't see the squares move a selected object from one layer to another.   I read your post on the issue with the laptop won't start does not and wanted to help you!  I understand that the screen is damaged and you are using the external monitor to view the screen.  However, now that the laptop does not start, you can see is more of the external screen to see what is happening.

  From my understanding, you should not be able to see an image on the external monitor, until you start the operating system.  You can try to perform a system restore by using this document:

  HP computers - performing a recovery of system HP (Windows 7)

  You may be able to follow along, long enough until the image is displayed on the external monitor.  Otherwise, you can contact HP support by phone, for additional options.

  • What version of PS do you use?
  • Mac or Windows, which version?
  • There may be several reasons for this.
    • Preferences corrupt.
    • Obsolete graphics drivers.
  • Solution
    • Try resetting the PS tools. (See screenshot)
    • Try resetting the PS preferences - to restore preferences quickly by using a keyboard shortcut: press and hold Alt + Ctrl + Shift (Windows) or Option + command + shift (Mac OS) when you start Photoshop. You are prompted to delete the current settings.
  • • Update graphics card drivers
    • AMD - AMD Catalyst 15.10 Beta Driver for Windows
    • NVIDIA - drivers | GeForce
  • Also, try opening the PS, then go to preferences - performance and uncheck CPU chart use
  • Now, restart PS and then try to use tools again.

  I've just updated my Vista laptop to Windows 7 as a place to upgrade. All migrated without problem except this shared printer. I downloaded the updated driver from MS download the catalog and the Win 7 Add the fron Canon pack I have installed in that order.   Well, I've had sorted it here's what I did:

  Removed all instances of canon i850 of devices and printers in Win 7.Rebooted, and then at the Run prompt run this command, "Printui/s/t2" without the quotes... Removed the i850 canon drivers and packages, then restarted again. Then I turned on the printer and plugged into a USB port on the computer to Win7... It installed the driver for me to Windows Update and a USB driver. I then added a printer shared in devices and printers selected local printer and set up the port as: \\xp computer name\share name\. I chose the same driver in the list that was created previously Setup USB canon i850... Restarted then installed the Canon Add / on module: aomwin110ea23us.exe. Restarted again... NOW, I CAN PRINT!

  I just installed VMware 8 on a new Macbook Pro (OS El Capitan).

  In your menu bar, there is an icon for the merge, and you can launch Windows apps from there.

  Alternatively, you can simply use "Single window" or mode "full screen" for the traditional windows back office.

  The button to switch is in the "View" menu
