Why my Windows Vista Ultimate PC keep close (turn to the)?

My PC suddenly started to fade.  Things worked very well and then all of a sudden it's as if someone just keeps pushing the power button to do a forced hard shutdown.  This happens several times a day now (started last week).  I have scanned for viruses/malware and performed maintenance such as checking errors in registry, checkdisk, own drive for temporary files, and so on with no resolution. My PC is a HP Pavilion dv6000.  My drivers are all up to date, and all my windows and other products Microsoft (automatic updates regularly) software.

Hello David,.

Answers to your questions:

1 NO.

2 NO.

3 NO.

After a lot of research on the internet on this kind of problem, I saw a number of people who spoke a coup without turnoff of warning being due to heat issues.  Assuming that the problem was due to my computer overheating so I used little of compressed air to blow on all areas of the event and around the fan on the underside of the laptop. After doing this, my computer seems to be less noisy (not too strong fan) and overall failure is less heat.  I did have a recurrence of the problem in the last 24 hours while it was intermittent occurring since the last few days.  I had recently traveled with the computer in a more humid environment that my house so don't know if this helped.

I also checked the event logs for events around the time I knew the computer shuts off but can't find anything notable that said something about heat material or similar.

Thanks for your attempt to help.

    Hi BEM Consult,.

    1. are you allowing Windows to choose recommended backup or you choose "Let me pick" option on the backup configuration window?

We recommend that you connect the external hard drive on another computer and check if the size of the backup file is in the list.

Check if you have selected all the items in the backup settings to create a backup file. Try to create a new backup file by selecting all items on the Backup Wizard and check the result.

  • Updates for Windows Vista Ultimate.

I have Windows Vista Ultimate Edition. When I got the machine, I installed the latest updates for Windows Vista. This caused a problem with the license and told me to ignore the updates for Windows Vista to avoid the problem again. Is this still the case and, if so, why does Windows Update not recognize that I have 'Ultimate' and stop of asking me to install more than 50 updates every time I turn on the machine?

He was the one who told me that the problem was that I shouldn't download updated Vista because I had Vista Ultimate.

Nonsense. It is VERY important to install all updates offered by Windows Update Service Packs and critical security.

There will come a time soon when your computer will not be offered more updates at least that Vista SP1 is installed. A few years later, the same thing apply to Vista SP2.

  • Satellite A200 (PSAE6) crashes on Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit

    Hello

I recently had a few frequent freezes on Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit Edition, I think it's maybe the video card (ATI HD2600 mobility). I have already downloaded and installed the latest drivers from the Toshiba site, but it continues to, sometimes, when I'm playing games, the screen blinks for 5 seconds or more and then would become black, completely erased, but the background sound and everything still works well and I am able to shut down the PC by pressing the power button once and then restart it normally.

It's a minor problem, the major problem is the freezing point, it freezes completely without warning, but oddly enough, he freeze by practicing a game! But freezes on normal operations (internet, office, etc.). I did the tests, tests of HARD drive memory, all in good health, and worse, on the Windows Event Viewer could not detect any problem, simply says 'unexpected system shutdown.

    I'd appreciate help please.

    Thank you

Hi I do not know if this will help, but you've got service pack 1 installed on your laptop, as when I installed it on my desktop the first time it caused blue screen errors and gave me a lot of problems, including the error messages that seemed to come with applications, I opened and a boring IQRL driver equal or less than but could not work why and then ultimately , I had so many problems that I had to completely reformat my office and I removed my scanner XP and webcam (both had vista drivers) and when I reinstalled service pack 1, it was beautiful, if by any chance do you have anything attached to your XP laptop and vista drivers as these seemed to be what was causing my errors.

Also a question about your graphic card drivers, I have the same laptop as you and was looking for updates to the graphics driver and couldn't find them anywhere on the site, where did you find yours? I use Vista Home Premium 32 bit, my model number is A200-28 p (PSAE6) and I would like to know if there is a new graphics card driver but can not find on the basis of knowledge, so the fact you have updated your would be could you point a new user in the right direction :-)

  • Hard drive problems Windows Vista Ultimate Edition

Well guys, that it left me speechless.  I recently inherited a laptop from a friend who is fairly new and in good condition.  The laptop, a Toshiba Techra A9, installed Windows Vista Ultimate.  The problem that I seem to have with the laptop is that it will start Windows in normal mode but gets up to a certain point and then hangs up.  I can hear the drive trying to be rolled up and continues to make a rattling noise, similar to a folder that jumps.  The funny thing is that I can turn the machine off and restart in SafeMode w / networking with no problems.  I tried a hard drive cool to think the problem could be a faulty drive, however, the new drive does the same thing.  I installed Vista via the Toshiba Recovery CD, and from the beginning for the first time Windows has frozen, the new hard drive making the same noise as the old.  Anyone out there have any ideas why this is happening?  Install a new hard drive and having the same problem son believe me that it is related Windows or I'll have another hardware problem elsewhere on the machine.  Thank you!!

Try to check the drivers on the computer to the hard drive. If you can, go to the MMC Console in computer management, go to the Device Manager, and then in the console tree, you should see a line of 'hard drives. Down there, you should be able to see your hard drive. Right-click and click Properties, then go to the drivers of the popup window and note the driver version number. Check on the Toshiba site and see if there are updates to the hard disk driver. If there is, then install it. In addition, you can start safe mode and run your antivirus, assuming that he himself has not been compromised. It seems to be a software problem or driver since you say that you can start safe mode. Alyosha,

Remove or uninstall Windows Vista is possible in specific scenarios. You please clarify how you did your installation of Windows Vista?

    1. have you installed your new ultimate configuration on a new partition?

    2. have you you choose customized and placed the installation in the same partition as your old ultimate configuration? In this case you see two Windows folder in your C: drive / drive (or any other partition)? (Possibly with the .old extension)

For installation of two operating systems to Windows Vista on two separate partitions study the following:
