I have windows 7 and outlook arm wrestled and taken up but I found a way to get rid of him.  I like Hotmail. I don't like outlook.  Hotmail is colorful. Outlook is in blue and white and advrtisements along the right side, I couldn't get rid of. I won't buy anything they're peddling.

  • Remove Outlook Express emails to Hotmail account

I have an outlook express in my old laptop and I downloaded all my emails on my hotmail account. I just bought a new laptop and I want to keep these emails. How can I remove them from Outlook Express and store them in the hotmail account?

You can take the data of Outlook Express store and import that into Windows Live Mail.

Windows Live Mail can establish a direct synchronization to a Hotmail account connection (use Outlook Express POP3 which is download-only).

  • How to configure Outlook Express using a hotmail account by using a USB from Rogers modem to connect to internet

I have my hotmail account set as Microsoft Outlook on the laptop using a USB from Rogers modem to connect to internet (I put in place using outlook connector).  I want to configure my hotmail account in Outlook Express (I don't think that we can have two separate accounts of Microsoft Outlook email on a laptop).  I'm absolutely baffled as the server name, incoming and outgoing mail server addresses.  By Rogers Web site, the incoming server is POP3 incoming mail server: pop.broadband.rogers.com and mail server: smtp.broadband.rogers.com that does not work.

    Thanks for your help,

    Carol

The parameters you listed are for a Rogers.com e-mail account, not for a Hotmail account.  Please see How to add your e-mail to Microsoft Outlook Express account to the right settings.

BTW, you can have two separate accounts of Microsoft Outlook on a laptop.  Here are two ways to do:

    • If you and your partner have separate Windows user accounts, you will automatically have separate Outlook accounts.
    • If you use the same Windows user account, create a separate profile for each of you in Control Panel > Mail .

  • Why can I access is more my hotmail account using firefox?

Since this thing 'Windows Live' has been implemented, (ie: pushed to the bottom of the throat), got hurt continually access to my hotmail account using Firefox as your browser, until, from the past week or so can not access at ALL, unless I use IE. Everytime I turn on my laptop, I get the 'Windows Live Mssgr' box and must stop and that close. (Oh, I tried a few time just "go with the flow" and went forward and connected to Live Mssgr, and I was immediately HARASSED by dozens of 'contacts' I had NEVER heard of and had to spend the 5 minutes following or so playing whack-a-mole with the hordes of spamming, until the only way to stop him stopping once again.) I am NOT interested in LiveMssgr, Windows Live, or one of that truck, is what I'm interested to have access to my hotmail account, using ANY BROWSER, I JUDGE GOOD of USE!  I have already written on this time, but I was told I was in the wrong section, and I had to go in this section. (And of course, some worker drone MS came and he labeled as being "CORRECTLY answered"). WHY can I access is no longer my email using ANY other browser except IE; and WHY does microsoft keep pushing constantly to be the largest and most greedy aggressor on the block? .... Anyone? .... AAARRRGGHHHH!

Open Keychain Access utility, use S.o.s. under Menu Keychain Keychain, and then either check the password on this point, change, or delete it and start over.

    You can have multiple entries.

Open Keychain Access utility, enter the part after the sign @ in the search bar and press enter

The rejection of password can confuse people because there's a catch its meaning...

This password, username, authentication method is not recognized on this Port for this server, more than one entry in Keychain Access for each input, input/output or end of server problem.

If you use a browser to connect via WebMail works, but not name or password, but that of others.

    Receiver e-mail ports are:

    IMAP is port 143

    IMAP-SSL is port 993

    POP is port 110

POP - SSL is port 995

    The outbound ports are...

SMTP and SMTP-SSL is on ports 25 and 587, 465. Port 587 should be SSL and port 465 is applied sheathed TLS and is generally used by Outlook users.

  • Newbie question: outlook express deletes messages from my hotmail account?

I have several acouts hotmail.  I want to start using Outlook Express (or Eudora or other) as my email on my PC client but want full access to my emails on remote PCs via Explorer.  Outlook Express will download all the messages in my Inbox in?  Will he disappear from my hotmail account?  Or is he just leave my only hotmail accounts?

You can access your Hotmail mailbox by using a POP account in Outlook Express and, Yes, unless you configure the account to leave messages on the server, it will remove them from the Inbox when it downloads, as well as all appropriate POP clients.  Simply set up the account in order to leave them on the server.  It will be on the Advanced tab of the account properties.  See this: http://windowslivehelp.com/solution.aspx?solutionid=99d4b13d-13db-40d8-9cdf-172002d4194c

Also, remember that access to a POP mailbox has no notion of folders.  Only what is in the Inbox will be visible to any client POP, whatever you use.
