Why the colors in the images incorporated into word export (TIFF/JPEG) badly ruined Acrobat?

I chose this forum instead of printing and prepress forum, because I have a very limited knowledge of existing color space and profile and I didn't want to be (1) leaked and (2) overwhelmed by the level of technical detail.

When I try to PDF to a word document that contains a TIFF image, the TIFF image appears SIGNIFICANTLY off the coast of color.  I was able to significantly correct the problem by extracting the TIFF image in the Word document and save in JPEG format, but it is not yet 100%.

Here's what I know:

I use Windows 7; Word 2010; and Acrobat X.  I also CS5.1 Photoshop and InDesign CS4.

"My color SETTINGS are put in correspondence in each application was related to my monitor, and my monitor is set to the system default, which is a default system: sRGBIEC61966 - 2.1"

I use the document for professional purposes, so the color matching is important to me, but I work with what is available to me in a non-profit, which means a monitor Acer X183h and a networked Canon iR C5185 desktop printer and no real color management or equipment policy.

I'm looking for the best possible solution maintain the performance of color between the monitor and the printer.

Incredibly that I posted this, the solution came to me - I leave it to the moderators to determine whether it should be retained or deleted.  I wasn't able to find any help on this and it might be useful to other users.

The image itself which has been incorporated into the Word Document has a CMYK profile. It displayed correctly in the software, but would not convert to PDF or print. I have the source file open in Photoshop and converted it to my profile, and then added to the word document and it is now reliable breed in the right color.

Since the removal of the external images in word is a common work process (if there is also mediocre) for creating documents in the non-profit organization of people, I think that this type of information could be useful in the knowlegebase.

    You can check the order of Lightroom Mobile synchronization.

    Click on the collection name and choose the last option to sort.

    It should be similar to this screenshot:

    Once you get to know Lightroom Mobile images sort order, you can set the same sort order on your desktop of Lightroom.

    Anyone know why the images using the viewer keep appearing behind the thumbnails?

    Can you provide a link?

    Probably your best way to do it would be to create your first "lightbox" like a ToolTip by using the ToolTip Widget, and then that way you nest not viewers.

    But if you can provide a link maybe I can think of a better way to do it.

  • Images incorporated into the content stream

    Hello

    I wonder if there are many PDF creators who embed images directly in the flow of content rather than use the resources.

    Can someone give me a hint?

    Thanks in advance,

    Joe

    The only way that you can embed the image directly in the content stream is to use an "online" image and reference PDF/ISO 32000-1, it is quite clear that these images are limited to no more than 4 K bytes (ISO 32000-1, 8.9.7).   As such, it would be pretty useless for most.  Also, inline images cannot use compression technologies modern to minimize the size of the data files, making it less than practice/useful.

    So not - everyone puts them as resources where they belong!

    Our <strong><em>Carmina Burana</em></strong> concert series begins next Friday, at the Campbell United Methodist Church. Rehearsals have been wonderful and great fun! We're really enjoying singing this piece, and are very much looking forward to dress rehearsals next week with soloists, percussionists and the Ragazzi Boy's choir! <br />
    									<br />
    									It's not often that we perform with as many different kinds of percussion instruments as are called for in <em>Carmina</em>. Since the percussionists are typically in the back of the orchestra, it may not be easy to see what the instruments look like, especially when they are small or unusual. Just in case you are curious, I have included some images of some, at least, of the percussion instruments. Top to bottom down the right side are triangle, raganella (ratchet), glockenspiel, sleigh bells, snare drum, suspended cymbal, castanets, tubular bells, and the last image is xylophone with crotales (antique cymbals) across the top. Our performance will not have an entire orchestra between the audience and the performers, so you will be able to easily see the percussionists and pianists at work, not to mention the soloists.<br />

    									The instrument list also calls for two pianos and a celeste. The pianos will be two Roland HP605 professional level electronic pianos, lent for this performance by two of our Bass choir members, David Goodman and Kim McCall. We rehearsed with the pianos this week - not only do they have amazing sound but with a flick of a switch they turn into the celeste, or the flute or the horn!<br />

  • Black arrow sometimes chooses to frame and sometimes the image? (why the image?)

    In my previous version of InDesign, the black arrow has selected the box for moving, resizing, etc. ; the white arrow would allow me to select the image for moving and resizing the box.

    In ID CS6, the black arrow sometimes selects the box, but sometimes (and certainly more often than I wish), it selects the image instead of the box. (Why?)

    If I click on the outside of the box, he will choose the black arrow, but this is not always an easy thing to do. I would have preferred that the black arrow work the way it used to. I found nothing in the preferences dialog on this topic. Have I missed?

    Thank you.

    Are you clicking on the Content Grabber (it looks like a doughnut) in the middle of the image? If so, and you would not be active you can turn off under view > Extras >.

  • Why the Image distorted when I move the bones?

    http://PostImage.org/image/jjcef8ebt/

    Hi, I just watch a tutorial where they apply bnes to deform a "bitmap". Their image is not bend as my picture. Why is happening.

    I imported an image, then I ' chosen 'split' and then I added the bones to him. " When I move the bones it makes the picture to distort, but in this tutorial here is not to distort the image. What's wrong?

    Jay and Chris thanks for the detailed explanation. I didn't think it was possible, but the tutorial made me think it might be. I now try to do using symbols. Thank you.

  • Why the images have a black background?

    I am inserting an image of an arrow in my slide (the documentation said that there should be an option in the line for this purpose, but I can't find an online tool from anywhere) to point to a specific area. I tried to use a .png and a .psd, both put a black background to fill the area of the image (ick) and the images will be displayed outside the lines of the image in Captivate. Y at - there a trick to this? I am using Captivate as a stand-alone product, on a MacBook Pro. Thank you!

    Hello

    I have been inserting arrows created in Photoshop, are you sure you had transparant pixels surrounding the arrow? And did you use the file, the import Photoshop file command?

    Here are 2 screenshots to show you the line of the toolbox tool and how to turn the line into an arrow using the accordion panel/bottom & outline of properties. I use Windows, but think that the interface is similar.

  • Why the image size is smaller when going from RAW to Photoshop

    My computer has dropped recently and I had to reboot Photoshop CS2 worm 9 and I had to download Camera Raw plugin version 3.7. Now when I

    process a Raw file, which is normally an image of 54 x 36 inches, now, I'm getting a picture of 16.2x10.8. I can't find why it is to reduce the size of the file. Any ideas?   Help

    Thank you

    Don Spears

    The 'size' of an image is a combination of its dimensions and its resolution. While the dimensions may change, the chances are that your resolution was changed as well. The largest dimension is prolly at 72 DPI (pixel pre inch), and the smallest dimension is prolly more at 300 PPI. Camera Raw has the ability to change that, but also to change the pixel dimensions, check what is the PPI to your second image. If it's more like 300PPI so you just a different ratio. If it is 72 DPI then you did something to downsample the image.

  • When I'm working on a project of e-mail, why the images keep disappearing?

    Sometimes, I'm working on a project of an e-mail for a long time. Sometimes I'll still send it to me and then continue my work with Ctrl-E.

  • Why the image of the logo is not display in Firefox?

    The image of the logo for one of my sites does not appear. The alt image info is displayed. It is a relatively new problem. In older versions of Firefox, the image correctly. As well, the image displayed in browsers, Webkit and IE10. There is a specific problem of Firefox. The main URL for the site is: http://sabaki.aisites.com/dbs323/project/masterAi.php

    If you go to this URL in Firefox, you will see 'image of the logo' spread over two lines and before the text "COTin. If you view the same URL in Chrome or IE10, you will see the image. I have screenshots of the problem, but there is no way to include them here.

    Thank you, shift + reload has worked at the second attempt. Interesting that I had drained the cache many times previously (on the previous days in the last month). Good thing to know.

  • problem: import the image sequence into adobe media encoder

    Hello

    have a problem with adobe media encoder CS6, change the display Format to 25 time frame in the preferences of media coder, I import a series of TGA (170 images) to media encoder in an image file TGA sequence, the series generated from 3D applications Max and ToonBoom, specification of TGA series 1080 50i "1920 X 1080 - high filed - 25 frames per second. When I import the sequence, encode media recognize the sequence as 1920 X 1080 - progressive - 29.97 FPS, to interpret the window images options I change the settings of the upper sequence deposited - 25 fps, and I export to quicktime mov 1920 X 1080 - class top - 25 fps uncompressed

    the problem:

    mov file is 06:20 and it is right for the 170 25 fps calendar but mov file does not contain the tga series image, image freeze in time code 05:16 (number 142 of the framework) and duplicate the 142 image to the rest of the video file

    If I do not change the pace to interpret the window options images for the tga sequence what media encoder recognizes as 29.97 FPS mov file contain all TGA images, but with a duration of 05:16 which not 25 fps

    in adobe media encoder CS5.5 I don't get this problem at all

    1. How do I solve this problem?

    2. how to force CS6 adobe media encoder to recognize the image sequence imported as rate of 25 fps?

    "Film" is finally fixed in November 2013 video updates of creative cloud. If your version of Premiere Pro and SOUL is or more 7.1.0 everything should work as expected. But don't forget to actually perform "Film" on your source in first Pro CC or CC SOUL that, otherwise your sequence of images will continue to be interpreted as 29.97 FPS by default.

  • InDesign CS4 does not display the icon in the shape of triangle for the images changed into links

    My InDesign crashed the other day and now it gives me is no longer the yellow triangle icon in the links Panel to indicate that image has been changed and must be updated. I generally do not connect the image to the original through Indesign, but work independently in Photoshop. This has never been a problem. After that I updated the image in PS, the triangle appears instantly in ID in order to be able to click on it and update the image.

    I can always click on the Refresh button to update the image, but I wish that these rear indicators because it helps me with older documents - so that I can know what are the images really need to update and which are not.

    I restarted the Panel and launched and closed the bridge such as suggested in other older discussions, and he has not made a difference. I also noticed that if I try to open the original image by ID with open with, the icon for the PS, for example, doesn't think I'm in PS (it opens the image in Windowd Paint). It makes me wonder is the whole connection between ID and PS is messed up. How can I correct this connection?

    Have you tried to delete your preferences?  How it is here.

  • PB with handCursor when rolling on the text incorporated into an MC

    Hello

    I have a small pb creating buttons in movieClip containing a textField.
    Indeed when roll over the button and precisely drive on the text contained in my button, the handCursor is replaced with the normal arrow. How can I prevent this? I mean having the handCursor displayed on the button set, not only outside of textField?
    If you do not see what I mean, please look at the following code example, you will see that when turning 'HELLO' from the handCursor disaoppears:
    import flash.display.MovieClip;
    import flash.text. *;
    var buttonClip = new MovieClip();
    buttonClip.buttonMode = true;
    buttonClip.useHandCursor = true;
    buttonClip.graphics.lineStyle (1, 0 x 000000, 100);
    buttonClip.graphics.beginFill(0xaaaaaa,100);
    buttonClip.graphics.drawRect (0,0,200,20);
    buttonClip.graphics.endFill ();
    buttonClip.x = 50;
    buttonClip.y = 50;
    this.addChild (buttonClip);
    var text = new TextField();
    text. Text = "Hello";
    text. Selectable = false;
    buttonClip.addChild (text);

    Thanks for your help,

    Pascal

    Yes, the solution is the following:
    -you create the textfield in your button
    -create a MovieClip taking the entire area of the button with an alpha value of 0 and that just overlap the textField object.
    -for mouse behaviors, add headphones, not the key itself, but to the click box created MovieClip finally.

    When rolling on the text in your button, which will prevent the cursor turns into an arrow.
