Why the home page back to the support page?
Standard firefox start page guard back to the mozilla support page after 2 seconds and I can't come back.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.
- Put yourself in the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance
- Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode safe
- https://support.Mozilla.org/KB/safe+mode
- https://support.Mozilla.org/KB/troubleshooting+extensions+and+themes
You can check the setting of the homepage:
- Tools > Options > general > startup: Homepage
Firefox supports several home pages separated by ' |' symbol (pipe).

Why my home page closes when I visit any web page
Why my home page (Talktalk) does not close when I visit another web page?
This has happened
Each time Firefox opened
Is months ago
It should be the default setting that guess the frontpage is no longer necessary once you have started your next page. If you want to keep your frontpage to display after another page in navigation, you can use the mouse wheel button (the one central in mice) to leave the other page launch in another tab. And the first page will not be closed.

Why my home page is reloaded when I select the private tab?
I opened Firefox menu to the right of the toolbar. Click on 'new private window' and it opens / reload my home page. I can br to a Web page, select 'new window private' & I get my home page. AND! There is no blue icon to indicate 'private window' help! Thank you!
There is a feature to automatically start Firefox in private browsing mode. It is a stealth mode, where white-mask-on-purple-tab does not appear on the title bar next to reduce, restore/maximize and close to the buttons.
To see if you have enabled, you can see the Options page, Privacy panel:
"3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Options > privacy
If the selection is set on "Firefox will: don't remember history" then automatic private browsing is enabled. To disable, change the selector on "conservation rules: use the custom settings for history" and then uncheck the box for always use the private browsing mode.

I like Adobe products, but that's why the support so terribly intuitive?
Whenever I have a problem I never find an answer easily. When changes are made to the software, it's never a question of ' what happened, so logically it will now be the case. " I then come on forums annoy the people who don't have any idea what my problem is, but still wish to affirm strongly that I have to do? I just more often just for the pads when I hit a problem. A problem that I had recently updated several times was referred to an answer that was completely useless for me and others with the same problem, and finally I had to say that the only good answer to my problem was to reinstall windows, because it's the only thing that solved the problem. This is not a resolution, which is a failure. If someone at Adobe knew a way around what seemed to be a common problem, they were not leaving, not even that they were aware of it.
I can only imagine how much more I could be done with brilliant Adobe unmatched products, if they were just a lot more intuitive and fully supported.
Judging by many of the answers I've seen on these forums, that clearly given in good faith and with the best will be (and I imagine very effectively in many cases), it is not only a problem for me, but also some of those who are trying to help.
There are some pretty simple answers to so many things, but the current forums and support system is not very effective to bring to the forefront, I'm afraid.
Is it just me, or is this one problem for others here?
Many of the problems users have can be answered in the various forum https://forums.adobe.com/welcome
Other problems are only answered by staff or cat person
Personnel people do check forum posts, but not 24/7
The cat link is supposed to be open 24/7, but MANY messages that I read... it is not

I have the latest version of Firefox? And if so, why my home page says that I have to upgrade?
You see this message on the www.google.com/firefox site?
The current versions of Firefox 4 + is no longer use this website from Google as home page, but use the build-in on: home page as the home page.
Google assumes that you are using an older version of Firefox if you still visit this site, and warns you that you are using an older version of Firefox and invites you to update.
You can ignore this message if you are running the latest version of Firefox, as shown in the window "help > About" (Firefox is updated).
You can use a different page than the homepage as subject: House or www.google.com or www.google.com/ig (iGoogle). -
I recently installed Firefox 4 on my computer under re - install my OS. Firefox opens now with 2 tabs: my host specified, and to the right tab, a tab of the Firefox Support Home Page. I guess I did something to cause it, but how can I cancel it?
Reset your home page and make sure that only one tab is open when you set your homepage.

Hi ajag,.
Sorry, you have problems, but probably some adware or malware.Thank you for including the information system. I'm not familiar with "Vonteera free ads" However, he is apparently adware. Pay attention to the advice, followed by research on the internet I would be, for example, do NOT try the YAC website or tool.
Using the Firefox addons Manager and Panel configuration remove toolbars unwanted obvious or programs. Then fully analyze up to tools date and multiple.
Please follow the tips in the link above immediately and then do full scans as shown below in this post.
I notice that you have a user.js file require separately.
Post back saying that you tried and what the results were. You can try these free programs to search for malicious software that work with your existing anti-virus software:
- Microsoft safety scanner
- MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware
- Anti-Rootkit utility - TDSSKiller
- AdwCleaner (for more information, see this other AdwCleaner download page)
- Hitman Pro
- ESET Online Scanner
Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP, if you do not already have one. Windows 8 already has integrated antivirus.

When I go online, I expect to have only my open home page, instead, I have two tabs, my home page tab and the tab and the new tab is the page that actually opens. This just started yesterday, why?

A page is my home page, another is welcome to Firefox, and the other is my LassPass. Can anyone tell my why this is happening?
Create a new profile as a test to see if your profile is the source of the problems.
See "basic troubleshooting: a new profile:
There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "tools > Modules > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.
If this new profile works then you can transfer files from the old profile to the new profile, but make sure not to copy corrupted files.
